This parka had a great fit and color. I liked that it used a synthetic, as down can be inhumanely obtained. It was very warm, lightweight, packable. For me personally the baffle pattern was just too busy, so back it went. If you don't mind that part, you'll love it!

I bought this cost as a winter coat and was disappointed that it didn't fit. I bought a size and it was still too small. Will be returning

I was excited to receive the thermoball parka as a gift after I researched quite a bit. If you're looking for a warm coat to go hiking in or walking in, I think this would be great. However, I was looking for just a winter coat to go out in and be comfortable in winter temps (20-40F). Just standing outside, I was much to cold. If I had been hiking, I think my own body heat would have helped and this coat would be most comfortable. Depends how you plan to wear it. The pink was adorable.

This parka is fairly warm, more so than I'd expect from a jacket so thin. I wore it on a 15 degree MI morning & it was as warm as my Metropolis parka. And I like the nipped-in waist. But it runs really small. I'm 5'5", 110 pounds. In every other North a Face jacket, coat, sweater or hoodie, a M is too roomy and I've gone with a small. In this jacket I thankfully went with a M. A S would be way, waaaay too small. And the exterior pockets are too small. Smaller than that of all the other North a Face jackets I own. Lightweight and comfy but the small pockets I just can't get over. It barely fits my iPhone 6 in a slim case.

Great fit, comfortable and extremely light weight. i WISH I could have kept it but the black color has a sheen to it that makes it look like a hefty bag. Maybe if I came in a matte color it would look better.

Ordered a size larger as many reviews said to... My wife wears a medium, the large is snug... The overall coat is really light and warm. Nice coat except for the odd tight fit.

I own 2 of the older styled Parka's in Azalea Pink and Navy. Love them. I wanted to get the grey color but it runs much smaller than my others. I couldn't even get it zipped up, too tight in the chest area. I heard this complaint by other women too that are not an hour glass shape. it might work for some - who are slim but for average sized women. Not so much. So wanted this new parka - but if you can't close it, it's useless. Northface consider average sized women when designing your coats too. We are NOT all skinny and hour glass shaped. Have this coat in 2 different styles - slim and tailored and average. By the way - my other 2 parkas were thermoball - yet this thermoball won't fit and XL is the largest size. You can't size up. Very disappointed.

I never got to test it out in different weather conditions; I returned it as soon as I got it because I was unhappy with the fit.

Nice idea but too light for really cold weather. Also not a fan of the shiny material, looks kind of cheap in person

I wanted to love this parka so much!! I ordered a size up so I could wear layers under. I don't think if I ordered my regular size I would like it. I felt like a huge puffy bear even with the thin material. I found the waist on this to be too high. I know that I would have to keep pulling it down. I love all TNF stuff but sorry this is going back.

I own 3 thermoball jackets and wanted to buy the parka. But, it ran much smaller than my others. Why is it that the same name, same size can differ so much. I couldn't even zip it up. And if you have a chest forget it. Try it on at a store first to see if it fits.

Previously ordered the medium which is my normal size in Northface, but it was too small. I returned it & ordered the large. The large was too big. I’m returning that also.

The Thermoball II is a DOWNGRADE from the old model. It doesn't have a waist cinch cord, so the end result is looking like you're wearing a potato sack.

Wanted to love this parka! I have two vests and three jackets that are Thermoball and love, love, love them! This parka doesn't fit like the other parkas or even the Thermoball jackets. It is tight in the waistline which is unfortunate because in MN we have to layer!! It had to go back. I was hoping the fit issue would be fixed this year. I'll keep waiting.......

I have been waiting for a long winter jacket and I wanted it to be The North Face. This past winter all K asked for from my family was this jacket for Christmas. I thought I had done my research and I was so excited to get it. Although it's comfortable and stylish it IS NOT warm. It's very thin and I work at a school in New Hampshire...I need a warm jacket and this was not it. It's over priced for what I wanted. I wish I could trade in but it was a gift and I don't have a receipt. Make sure you do your research and if you want a very warm/wind proof/ winter jacket...this is not it.

This jacket I bought in the store, so I was able to try on all the sizes to find the best fit for me. I am 5'4" and 170 pounds and curvy. The large fit just fine. The inside of the jacket has waist cinchers on it so the jacket doesn't make you one shape. It gave to my curves and made me look fantastic, which is hard to find for a longer jacket for women my height and shape/size. Which was the biggest plus. The unfortunate part of the jacket was that it wasn't warm. Today was 28 at the lowest and I was quite chilly walking around in and out of stores. So it wasn't that I was outside for very long. So within my short little walks outside between stores I got cold.

The color is very nice in the picture but much darker in person. I was very disappointed with the color when I received the jacket.
