I have found The North Face line, in general, runs small. Surprising for an expensive brand. I wear a 2XL and had to order a 3XL. I do love the coat. The pockets are half fleece lined. Why not the whole pocket??!! It's a warm coat and the style is nice. Pricey but I plan on keeping it a very long time.

This was a light weight and warm coat that has kept me warm and comfy in 32 degree weather(haven't tested is in colder temperatures). The cinched weight sort of my makes my small body frame look large though in the hip area but I feel like any winter puffy coat will do that. I wish the pockets had a different type of fabric in the inside because they're sort of itchy feeling.

Good for walking around campus in Michigan, hood is weird though, and the color gray was not solid gray like I was expecting.

I really like the look of the coat and the warmth it provides but I feel as if it is just a little too puffy for me. In our area, we tend to wear a lot of layers and it just feels bulky in the end. I will be looking for something a little lighter weight that is still very warm.

i don't like the pulls on the bottom. They bug my legs

I liked this jacket but returned it. I’m 5’10” got the large and felt the sleeves weren’t long enough for a winter coat. I wish they made tall sizes.

Super cute & comfy! I had an issue with the zipper and Zappos quickly helped me order a replacement. The only negative is that I’ve noticed a few feathers poking through!

beautiful Jacket, very stylish and warm but the arm sleeves are too tight for that size and restricts movement. only if the sleeves would be a little lose it would be a perfect jacket to wear.

I was looking for a jacket for daily use and I finally found this one, very comfortable and warm for winter time without losing my shape.

Every day I wear this jacket

I wear this jacket to the office, errand running, to the gym, etc. Great staple to have in the winter. I'm 5' 0" and the sleeve length hits me at the perfect spot on my wrist and the length of the jacket hits me in the leg at the preferred length, but I could see that people who are taller might think the sleeves are a little short or the length might hit them a little higher than they'd prefer. Also, make note that the waist is tapered in a bit which gives a different shape than a jacket built straight down. It almost looks like you're wearing a belt because the fabric gathers in a bit, but I think it's a cute twist on a classic down jacket.

Fit is OK. I'm used to looser fitting jackets, but I'm told something that hugs more is more attractive for non-athletic looks. I have pretty muscular arms, and the arm circumference for the medium is pretty snug. It would be hard to layer anything more than a long-sleeved sweater or shirt underneath. The elastic at the waist that creates the taper is not my favorite as it creates a sort of bell shape and is more clingy at the waist than I prefer, but everyone tells me it looks cute, so I'll deal. I probably should have sized up because of my arm girth, but I was afraid the large would just swallow me everywhere else. The black is black, but not darkest black, so if you're wearing truly black pants, the coat will not match exactly. It's pretty comfortable though, and warm enough for 20s-30s weather we get sometimes in Texas. Not sure it would hold up to anything colder though.

Wanted something that would keep me really warm and waterproof yet stylish. This jacket is perfect for all.

This is a great insulated winter jacket. I'm 5'3" and the length is perfect. It's warm and blocks the wind, which is needed in New England. The only downside is the zippers. They can stick and are made of plastic, not metal. However, being made of plastic keeps the coat more light weight. Overall not bad.

Love this jacket! Warm, warm, warm! The fit is almost perfect. From the waist down it really bells out but besides that, it's delightful!

I love how warm and comfortable this coat is! I have an off brand black parka like this that I've had for 6 years and wanted an upgrade that would also last a long time. I definitely notice the difference in how much warmer and wind-resistant this North Face is. It was a Christmas gift this year so I haven't yet had the chance to test it in all weather or for durability but part of the reason I asked for this one was all the good reviews, so fingers crossed! I will say that I could've gone with the small for a little more room, but it belled out kind of funny at the hips so I went with the xsmall to be a bit more fitted and can still wear a sweater underneath. For reference, I am 5'3" and 112 lbs.
