Jacket works great down to about 30, 20 with sweatshirt or heavy sweater. It is warmer than you would think when you see actually jacket. I can't mine to puff out as much as the pictures. Pockets are nice and big, but nylon, not flannel, so they are not great at keeping your hands warm. Jackets runs a bit small. I have 15 1/2 neck, 38 chest and 31 waist and with heavy sweatshirt and t-shirt, the jacket is snug (large would probably be too big but I frequently find a small the best fit).

I purchased this as it was on the lower end of the cost spectrum and upon receiving can understand why. I would say this is an entry level jacket for Columbia and would be fine for those looking as a lightweight layering jacket but would not recommend as a stand-alone winter jacket; seems to be good for fall and spring. The Charcoal Heather print is very nice looking and wish it were offered on other jackets.

I didnt realize these 650 down filled jackets were so puffy. Especially compared to the ones that are much more slim. It is " old school" warm and price is great for this product

I bought this jacket inspired by many praising reviews I read here on this site. Those reviews were saying the jacket looks great and very warm. Yes, jacket is comfortable to wear, it looks pretty good and made very high quality. However it is not very warm. I expected I can wear it almost whole winter with temperature down to 20 F with just undershirt and button-up shirt. It happened even with 25-30 F I started to feel uncomfortable and freezing. I need to wear some fleece jacket underneath just to feel warmer. This jacket probably good as lower layer for another thicker coat at winter time. I think I will wear it as my old fleece coat replacement but not at stand-alone jacket during a winter. For this price I wouldn't recommend it as a winter coat. Another lesson I learned after buying it online is better to buy a coat in a store when you can touch and feel it.

The jacket although nice looking and light, the operative word here is LIGHT. Today 12/26/17 put the jacket to the test, It was -1 outside in Illinois so I walked 2-3 miles to post office happily ready to test out not only the jacket but the gloves. Well it did not. I felt the wind & cold. I have a omni heat & omni wind jacket from Columbia much much warmer.

Good jacket. Appropriate for up to a 35deg day. This is not interchange compatible. Does not have sleeve loop and the zipper is too fine to fit the coarse interchange type zipper.

I got the jacket today finally in Feb 2018. After wearing for about an hour, started smelling something funny. Still inside the house, I started looking for that smell. Come to realize it's from the jacket. Checked with my wife and to confirm, it was unbearable. It's one of those rotting smells from animals. Not sure if it's the down that's not fully clean. I'm not sure of the steps to take to air out the jacket. This should not be the experience when buying a $100 worth jacket. Product can be improved.

I purchased this jacket 2 months ago. It has already failed. I was walking my dogs tonight and the zipper got stuck around my neck. I tried to unzip the jacket a few times. The zipper failed and ripped away from the collar. The jacket is unwearable after only a couple of months. Poorly constructed and would not recommend. Terrible product Columbia!
