Awesome puffy. Super comfy and lightweight. Great for ski touring and basically anything in the backcountry! Stuff sack is convenient and makes it easy to stuff away into your pack. Highly recommend!! I usually wear XS, got a small as a gift and its a little big, but allows extra room for layers underneath.

I discovered this jacket on a store in Chamonix last fall. I instantly fell in love with it. It's so great at keeping me warm and protected from the cold that I ended up wearing it all the days of last winter. The double pattern insulation (down + synthetic) is really effective at giving some protection should light rain fall on it. For my alpine adventures it's too warm and prefer something more light and breathable like the Atom LT + hard shell. On the appearance side I think that this jacket is super stylish and has a great shape that seems to really hugh me. I love the Neptune color too. Kudos Arc'teryx on that one!

I really like the lightness of this down jacket. It packs up into an attached bag and offers the perfect weight to warmth control for various cold weather environments. I've used this jacket all over the world and as a pillow when camping.

This jacket is just what I was looking for. I waited a long while to write this review in order to make sure it was solid. I wanted the Cerium LT because I often backcountry camp in the winter in the mountains of the American South. This jacket also kept me warm on the New England coast around the 15F/-9C mark under a Beta AR. I will note that I had to size up in the Cerium to a Large (I'm 6', 187lbs with larger arms), however it does fit (slightly snug) under a Medium Beta AR. Stationary temperature wise it hits the 25F mark for me. The fabric has held up fine for me and occasionally leaks feathers (don't yank them out!), but not enough to be a problem. This is after taking it into the mountains/woods repeatedly. I often sleep in it and it's still lofty. The stuff sack doesn't bother me in the pocket. I only use the stuff sack if space in my pack is critical because it packs it really tight, otherwise I store it loosely in a dry sack so it's nice and lofty when I need it. I haven't had any problems with the zipper so far and I appreciate how light it is. I generally treat my gear gingerly: I wash this jacket with down wash in a mesh laundry bag and tumble dry low and it looks great. I did get a small hole in the arm fixed by a tailor that did a lazy job and pulled the top baffle over it (not sure if Arc'teryx can fix this, but I don't want to give up my "Admiral" color). In the end it's a fantastic jacket that suits my needs. My only suggestions would be to up the unsulation in the core a little bit and make sure the synthetic portions last as long as the down.

I haven't had the same experience as some of the other reviewers and yet the same as others.... I've had this jacket for going into the third season and it's a solid piece of equipment. It's been shoved into my pack for days on end and pulled out in extreme conditions as a mid layer, used as a primary layer when shoveling snow, back country skinning on a powder day, used for wind protection against a cool breeze, etc. It's handled everything I've thrown at it, like a champ, and although I take care not to abuse it, I've never really babied it and I gotta say it looks as good today as it did almost three years ago, with substation use! My only complaint and it's a big one.... it's too darn warm! I run hot and this jacket is extremely good at trapping heat. Granted, it breathes well as a stand alone but if I wear this under a shell, as a mid layer you, better believe I sweat like mad. I guess that's not really a complaint but rather a testament to just how amazing and warm this superlite puppy really is: I hate that others have had a different experience but mine has been extremely positive, in every condition, and I would happily recommend this jacket (and do) to everyone. Thanks Arcteryx for another thoughtfully produced piece of technical gear!

This jacket is fantastic and it's being misunderstood in some other reviews. I've had my Cerium for around 4 years now and I've only torn the face fabric once - entirely by MY error (zipped it in my sleeping bag zipper). I see a lot of reviews talking about how it's a bad product because the zipper is fragile or the face fabric is too light and those people are entirely misunderstanding the product they chose. This is clearly designed to be as warm for its weight as possible and that was achieved with a minimalist zipper and a low-denier fabric. Those are the tradeoffs being made. If you equate quality with durability, this is not the jacket for you. Take care of it though and it will serve you well. As much as I think of myself as a buyer that puts purpose first and aesthetic second, I have to say that my favourite part of the Cerium is the fit and the aesthetic. Lots of companies can make a high-loft, lightweight down jacket. Not everyone can make it look good enough to wear around town. In addition to looking great, this jacket is also light, packs SUPER small, and is warm enough for me to wear over just a base layer down to around -5C. If you're in the market for a super light, super compressible down jacket, then this is the one to buy. Just know what it's meant for and use it as such.

Great all around jacket. Stand alone or as mid layer. Comfortable to the point you feel like you don't have a jacket on.

This outperforms equivalent Mountain Hardware and Patagonia products by a mile. I also own an SL, and I like both. The warmth increase from the LT to the SL is substantial. And the weight difference is not enough to worry about. This is my favorite down jacket by a mile and it pairs well with the Alpha FL and Zeta FL rainshell.

Absolutely my favorite jacket. I lost one and quickly ordered a new one. Ned instead of small. Maybe another one in a cool color next time.

I tend to choose Arc'teryx gear for quality, fit, and durability. I own the Kappa Hoody, the Atom LT Hoody, the Alpha FL, and the Cerium LT which rounds out my needs for various outdoor passions including hiking, ice climbing, skiing, and camping. The Cerium LT is warm, versatile, and fits great (I'm 6' and 185lb. Can be used as a layer or standalone hoody. Standalone I'm comfortable down to -5 Celsius. I generally transfer from my Atom LT at about 5 Celsius. The Cerium LT layers great under the Kappa Hoody (or a shell) for colder conditions including sleeping on a mountain in Bolivia at -30 Celsius! Also good for city use (fitted style looks really good) and shoveling snow from the drive way. Overall extremely happy and strongly recommend. High quality, warm, durable and versatile.

I am a film technician in the Pacific Northwet of Vancouver... and it's the Northwet for a reason, being surround by an finite rain forest of endless possibilities to explore in a life time, this jacket is the perfect one to always have to keep you feeling safe and warm in all Adventures. I work gruesome hours through out many night shifts in blistering cold and rain all nights a lot, and with a pairing arc'teryx shell over this jacket, I am always comfortable and prepared to stand by and wait and take on any task that gets thrown at us. I've had 5 different style jackets from arc'teryx in my lifetime, and each one has its best characteristic. It wasn't until I found this jacket that I finely found the jacket that will always keep me ready for a 12 + hour shift in the outdoors in a winter Vancouver night shift on any film set.

I've come to the conclusion that this is the best lightweight down jacket I've ever owned. Admittedly I've worn it for walking my dog, nothing too extreme but we've bagged a few Munro's and Wainwright's. Also used it a lot in wooded areas and I'm impressed at how well it's held out to walking through grabbing branches. I've only got one tiny hole in the shoulder and after I rubbed out the protruding piece of down, nothing else has come out. I've not even had to repair it. The thing I think I like best about this jacket is that it packs down so small and I can pull it out whenever the temperature drops so easily. It regains it's loft very quickly I've found even after being packed down into the bag it came with. I really can't recommend it enough

From the moment I put this jacket on, I knew I would love it. It feels like putting on a featherlight sleeping bag, it is so very cozy. The cut and sizing fit perfectly and it folds up into a wee package so that you can always bring it along. The hard coral colour is super attractive and makes me smile each time I wear it. When it is very cold, I just layer it under my Arc'teryx shell. Seriously, just buy this jacket, you won't regret it!
