Packable, lightweight, and surprisingly durable, this jacket is my go-to insulation layer in the winter. I especially like it under a shell, but on dry, cold mornings it works great alone.

I bought this jacket in December as I needed a new mid layer for skiing. It was super warm and packed down easily. Only lost one star as you could see the dark coloured down through the material, but 5/5 in function

I've had this jacket for about 6 months and haven't had major issues. It fits well and is really warm. When it's raining, I always wear a Goretex rain jacket. My only comment is that the brown feathers showing through the bright coloured jacket makes it look dirty and mottled. It's most obvious around creases (elbows and armpits). At first, I thought it was actually dirt and did a thorough clean (followed the instructions arc'teryx put out for washing down). When the jacket looked essentially the same after the wash, I realized it was probably something else and it looks to be a common issue with the dark feathers. If you want a lighter colour, pause and decide how much you care about this since you are dishing out a lot of money.

I've had this coat for a month. It's very warm and I love the fit. I really do like the coat. The problem is with the zippers. They easily snag and just don't open and close smoothly. They are almost miniature in size and for an expensive coat are quite disappointing.

Good warmth and very light, would have accepted a bit more weight for more durability. So far has held up great but I have been very careful. ( when hiking in the woods etc I wear a shell over it) Fit is great. I have 33inch sleeves 37 inch chest, 150pounds, 5foot11 and the Medium has a good fit

As a 5ft11 female with an athletic build, I have to wear a Men's S in order to fit my arms. I'd love to see more women's tall jackets that fit those of us with longer torso's and arms. Aside from fit, this jacket is a perfect layer to throw under my shell, and comfortable wearing on its own for added warmth on dry days.

One of the best jackets I've owned! I use this for backpacking and bikepacking as it packs down small and has its own small packing bag in the inside pocket. I'm 5'10", 165lbs and got a medium. It fits snug, but not tight around my waist. Everywhere else has plenty of room to move about.

Got it when Sporting Life had it onsale during Lockdown. Super light and warm, nice cut on the waist. Usually wear S for Arc'teryx dress and sweaters, need M for this jacket, S still fits but won't be enough room for sweaters. As some of the reviews metioned, has down feathers come out, yes, I do see some tinny feathers flying, but not a lot.

I got this jacket about three months ago and for the most part I'm very pleased. I mainly use it for just being out and about in chilly days and hiking every so often. It is very comfortable and the fit is amazing. The pattern cutting is beautiful and allows great freedom of movement. It is a very warm jacket, but as someone who really feels the cold I tend to put an extra layer underneath on especially cold days. The jacket is rather breathable, only a few times have I felt myself kind of overheating in this jacket. And it is reasonably water resistant. Obviously not waterproof, but it'll keep you dry most of the time. The only trouble I have had is that the down leaks quite a bit. This can be expected, to some degree, of any down jacket but it is slightly concerning honestly. It just makes me wonder if it will last as long as I'd expect from a jacket of this quality. I take good care of my jackets so I'm sure it'll stand the test of time. Just something to be aware of before purchasing. Would still recommend though. I have this in large and am 5'11 and have a slim build. It's spacious that way but not oversized. If I wanted it more fitted I'd want to size down.

Bought the cerium in store so I could try on different sizes. I'm usually a large and the large fit well, but pretty snug. Still have full range of motion. But go a size up if you are buying for urban use. Since I bought this for hiking and skiing, the snug fit is nice to layer under a shell, though don't expect to fit anything more than a base layer and light fleece underneath. Material is very lightweight but I have not had an issue with abrasion or tearing even when hiking with a backpack and brushing against rocks. The zipper is small and flimsy but it's always worked for me. If you have stubble, it can rub against the fabric when zipped fully. I have not had any wear here but just thought I'd let you know. It is a longer length, which is nice when the temperature drops. It is both very lightweight and very warm. I have not used it for skiing but I presume that with just a base layer and a shell on top it should work fine for most weather. When hiking it holds heat a lot more than an atom lt, which is nice for winter weather. Because it is both warmer, lighter, and more packable than my atom lt, this is now my new insulated jacket that I will always take when hiking, no matter the season. It is also very warm. Much warmer than the atom lt. Atom lt I can wear with a base layer down to about 4 degrees celsius. I have worn the cerium lt below freezing with no complaints to being cold. The scuba hood is very comfy. I bought it in a bright orange colour. Forgot the colour name, but I wish I had purchased it in a darker colour so I could walk around town without people thinking I live in the alpine haha. Only reason for 4 stars is the snug fit (wish it was just a tiny bit looser) and the flimsy zipper.

Comfortable and good mobility. Useful pockets. The only thing I don't like is there is missing a flap inside of the zipper. I can feel the cold wind througit. It's not a big problem, particularly when it's used under a shell.

Excellent jacket. Warmer than my Ghost Whisperer from Mountain Hardwear. No feathers escaping to this point. Typical fantastic fit and quality build. Wish the sleeves were 1" longer. Hem length is fine. Only 4 stars because of somewhat short sleeves

Just got it, but product seems very warm. Packs down very small as would expect with down. Ordered a medium. I'm 6'0, 170 lbs. Usually wear mediums in other brands. Fit is snug, particularly in armpit area. Not problematically so, but if you prefer a loser fit might want to go up a size.

I know all monitors show colours differently - I have some of mine calibrated for photography. I looked at the online images of both the "blue" jackets - labyrinthine and Iliad. When they arrived they both had more of a green tinge than I was expecting. I'll be returning them for a black one.

This is an excellent all around down hoody that is extremely warm for its weight. My use - backpacking camp layer, ski touring midweight standing around layer, summer alpinism camp/emergency layer, casual down jacket for spring/winter/fall use. All in the Canadian Rockies. Two downsides to this jacket, which are the slightly small size, and the zippers. I haven't had issues with the zippers yet, but how thin they are concerns me and I suspect they would be a failure point. Given how difficult it is to repair down jackets, I wish it had a higher quality one. The size is just on the small sise. The neck is a hair too tight, arms a touch short, and shoulders are a little tight compared to all of my other size large Arcteryx items. Not big enough of a difference that I need to size up, but if you're between sizes, I would assume go with the higher size. Also worth noting - my size large weighed in at 326 grams including the compression bag.

I've had this coat for almost 3 years and I've grown addicted to it. I'm a bike commuter in a 4 season state so it's a great, warm, non-bulky layer to have. Plus the hood fits under my bike helmet. I also have been bringing it on backpacking trips to save room and weight in my pack. But, I could spare a few more ounces on the zipper. Now that winter has descended the zipper broke. Bad timing. Please put a bigger, more substantial zipper on this perfection of a jacket.

I have had my jacket for 1 year now and continue to recommend it to my friends on the market for a packable and lightweight jacket. The only downside I would say is that the feathers often times bleed out of the jacket, but it did not stop me from keeping it.

I had been wanting to buy one of these for a while, and finally convinced myself that the price was justifiable. I've been happy with my new Cerium so far (for warmth and fit); though there was some immediate shedding that is disappointing, as is the size of the zipper pull which I see as being a struggle to use with gloves on. Overall a good jacket but could do with one or two issues being addressed

I got this jacket cause I finally needed a down jacket after only having synthetic. I got it right before a climbing trip to Colorado and Wyoming. It kept me warm the whole time. I slept in this jacket on cold nights, one of which we woke up to 28 and snow still cozy. Not the warmest jacket they have but good for my purposes and for the sake of portability as it packs down small into a compression sack. It is also more durable than I thought. I was on a climb and was hesitant to wear it for fear of ripping, but it was way too cold and windy to care. I took it up, and the last pitch was a squeeze chimney. I compressed my back and my arms against the rock and did what I had to do to get up, and the jacket held up great.

Overall pretty good mid layer, not going to stop any wind or water but what do you expect? This jacket does get compliments though so that's a bonus!
