I bought this in a size small after waiting forever for it to restock in Black (that's how popular it is!). It fits a little large but its perfect for layering underneath, especially on colder, rainy days. The jacket is very well made and is functional and I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a solid rain jacket to endure Vancouvers Fall season.

A very durable and 100% waterproof. Fit well and right to a size. I have an orange color one and get a lot of compliments every time I wear it.

Love this jacket. It has gone everywhere with me, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, backpacking trips, and of course around the city. It's light, packable, waterproof, and lots of room to layer. The only thing I wish I could add would be an internal zip pocket

Bought this two months ago and it is ideal for stuffing in a pack. Sizing is accurate. Luckily or unluckily I have not had it out in a down pour but given the other Arc'teryx products I am assuming it will keep me totally dry.

Bought the Beta LT after researching for such a long time which Arc'teryx garment would best suit my needs and I feel I made the right choice. The waterproof abilities are just outstanding for such a light jacket using the Gore-Tex technology yet keeping you warm during windy days. All this in a packable format that you can stick in your rucksack and hit the hills just makes it a real pleasure to own.

This needs to have a 2 way zipper. Is there anyway to add one myself?

I saw this jacket in-store and couldn't resist buying it, and I have no regrets! The GORE-TEX shell is incredibly protective, yet lightweight and breathable. I'm a fan of the styling (the dark red/maroon color is BEAUTIFUL) and the trim fit cut - it's hard to find utility clothing with urban friendly styling. A great outer layer for whatever the day brings.

The jacket keeps me dry but also nice and cool due to the lightweight material and pit zips. I also love the adjustable hood and built-in cap which blocks out rain from my glasses! The jacket is a little big, so you can layer clothing underneath.

I've been using this jacket for a few months, and it's been great so far. Waterproof, keeps you warm in windy weather, fits well over a light sweater/sweatshirt. Fits true to size. If you like wearing very heavy layers under a jacket, then maybe size up.

Great rain jacket! Packs down small, lightweight (obviously), pit zips help while you hike, durable, and the zippers are sooo smooth.

We moved to the PNW in January and was on the hunt for a 100% waterproof top layer and I finally found one I liked. It's 100% waterproof and allows for venting when needed.

I purchased one for the wifey and one for myself about five weeks ago and we are very happy with our purchase.
Things we love about the Beta LT:
1) fit - the jacket maintains a slim fit even while wearing a Proton LT or Atom LT as a mid-layer and smartwool baselayer
2) length - accentuates the glutes
3) zippers - yeah, they are watertight
4) weight - very light but the fabric/material feels durable
5) hood flap/lip - excellent against wind and rain
6) waterproof/repellent - excellent ... I no longer use an umbrella
Things we don't like about the Beta LT:
1) arm length - i have long arms but would prefer maybe half to one inch less for the arm length on a size small
2) hood cinch - occasionally needs pulling/readjusting
3) pit zips - need a slightly bigger/longer zip tag to make for easier opening/closing
Overall, for our usage, the Beta LT gets an easy Grade A. It is great in rainy Vancouver weather and Whistler and looks fantastic

I purchased the Beta LT a month or so back and could not be happier with its performance. It stows in my golf bag, small fishing and biking back pack, yet fully wind and water proof, under arm zips keep you from overheating and the large adjustable hood protects from all the elements. My Alpha SV is still my winter back country go to but the Beta LT checks all the boxes as the best light weight, great value jacket available bar none. Well done!!

I'm 6,1 and 28yo. Recently Hiked Glacier Natl Park in some gusty October weather and didn't feel a single bit of cold wind with this shell. Cinches to pull tight around the butt and core keep the wind out, as well as wrist straps to pull tight so no wind going up the sleeves. Great purchase, kept me SO warm.

Just completed the West Highland Way. Scottish weather, predictably, threw it all at me. Wore the Beta LT jacket (and Beta LT pants) continuously for about five of the seven days, and it stood up to everything. Has some nice battle scars on it, now, but no damage. Stood up to scraping branches, wind, rain, and even a few falls. The shell took direct hits on those falls from rocks, which would have shredded a lesser jacket. No worries. I am sold on Arc'teryx for life.

I've really enjoyed this shell jacket. I did not own the previous version of this jacket, and so, I can't comment or compare. But, this version of the shell jacket works really well. It is excellent at keeping me dry during a good proper rainstorm. The GORE-TEX material is excellent for being waterproof/resistant, but it's not too noisy. I use it on hikes with variable weather, and it is perfect. It is large enough for a sweater or fleece underneath. The pockets kept phones and wallets dry. If I could have one thing, it might be nice to have an inside pocket.

I bought this about a month ago and just got a chance to use it on a trip. It was super lightweight, but had everything I needed. It blocked the wind nicely and shedded the rain. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Lightweight but still durable. I've now worn this backpacking and was caught in a heavy rainstorm for about an hour and stayed completely dry. It's also good looking enough to wear with jeans, etc. I do wish it had a packable pocket to be able to clip this to my pack or purse though. Anyways, buy this! Hoping this jacket lasts me a lonnnng time

The jacket is wonderful in the rain. You are not going to get wet. When you come inside you just give it a shake and all the water just falls off it. It's worth the price I just wish I could have gotten the color I wanted in my size I wanted the burgundy but had to settle for the navy. Hopefully they make all the colors in all the sizes. I wish it was just a tad longer also.

My uncle bought this jacket for me a couple of months ago. I didn't really need another rain jacket but I figured I'd keep it as I like the Arc'teryx brand. Shortly afterwards I planned a week long motorcycle ride across the country from Portland to Tampa. I didn't have a rain jacket for riding, and fortunately this jacket fit perfectly over my regular riding jacket. I'm guessing I rode a total of about 600 miles with this jacket on, at consistent speeds of 70-80 MPH. No tears, kept me perfectly dry and still looks brand new. I realize this isn't necessarily the intended use for this jacket, but I figure if it can stand up to that many miles of riding, it can probably do the trick while hiking / walking around.
