So disappointed with this purchase. I’ve been wearing the same model for years but the Addiction 13 is too short, too narrow and even the shoestrings are skimpy. I wish I had not worn these right out of the box. I incorrectly assumed they would be just like my previous Addiction’s and so did not try them on before setting off to the park. Such a waste of money.

In the past I wore a 9.5 in this shoe, which is half a size larger than in other shoes. The reviews are correct regarding the Addiction 13 - Brooks narrowed the toe. I tried them in 9.5 but sent back and switched to size 10 because my toes hit the end which had never happened in earlier versions. Then when I wore the 10, which did fit and seemed comfortable, I ended up with a bad blister on top of my second toe after walking a couple of miles. When I examined the inside of the shoe I found a hard projection that stuck out in exactly the spot I got the blister. There is no such projection in the other shoe. It's sad since this is my all time favorite shoe, the earlier version, though it fell apart quickly, was worth having to buy two pairs a year. Now, I don't know what to do. Why do sneaker manufacturers keep changing versions with crummier ones??

I have been getting Brooks Addiction Shoes for years. This time I could see the changes they they made were terrible. Like many others who complained, I was appalled that the material (around the opening of the shoes) got holes--no even worse--disintegrated within the first week!!!! If they tested these out at all then they didn't care that the material is basically like tissue paper. What a disappointment

Have worn Addiction since mid 90's. With everything wrong with my feet you could imagine, this is the shoe that has kept me (and my dog) walking our 1-2 miles daily in comfort. Was delighted when I put on the 13s as they felt as comfortable as bedroom slippers. Trouble is, I quickly discovered that they are also about as supportive! After just a few walks, I realized with unhappiness that I can't wear this shoe and they're not even paid for yet. As a low income senior, this is a disaster. Every step in the 13s was misery--greatly cheapened construction, skimpy toe box and I don't even know what all else but I do know they are not Brooks former quality! So I dug out the 12's from the Good Will bag and will have to wear them until I can afford to buy something new. Have looked everywhere for 12s in 9wide but are all gone. Nevertheless, worn as they are, I can still walk in them without the misery of the 13s. Buyer beware on this one!!

If I knew my FAVORITE Addiction 12 was going to have the worst upgrade! I wish I had bought all the 6 EE that the company had in-stock. I gave the shoe a Girl Scout try. Wore it with no laces for a few hours and my feet went to sleep will I was walking. The cushion is too much. I have blisters all over my feet. There is not a larger width after EE. I did like the extra height the shoes gave me. The new design on the front rubs my bunion and caused awful pain. This shoe upgrade has pushed me into shopping for the right shoe all over again . Why was the perfect show changed at all?????? Please contact me if you have any of the old style in stock . Let Brooks know I can’t believe how my feet loved the 12 and the 13 makes my feet go numb and fall asleep while I am walking. I changed out the insoles and same feeling. I removed the insole and wore them like that and same thing happened. Please point me in the shoe might work for me. Very sad runner :(

I am replacing my first pair with a second pair, because the fabric around the opening has started to wear. This style was recommended to me by an orthotics maker, and I do like them, just concerned about the wear.

I ordered extra wide shoes cause I need them now. When they arrived, they looked HUGE in the box. But honestly, they blend in when worn and are super cute.

If you have serious trouble with flat feet and overpronation - you should give these motion control shoes a try. I have been wearing Brooks Ariel and/or Brooks Addiction for over 15 years. In fact, it is only one of two shoes I can EVER wear (the others are Drew Phoneix Plus). I have severely flat feet with severely overpronated ankles. So much so, I tore a ligament just because I am walking on bones that have shifted so far out of place. These shoes (in tandem with the most amazing custom orthotics) are what have kept me walking all these years. And FYI, I am a heavy walker.

I love this sneaker. Use it for training, and for everyday use. Comfortable and secure footing. The style and color is attractive in my opinion.

Fit smaller than my other 8.5 narrows in the exact same style/color, from last spring. Not sure why, but Brooks seems to keep making them smaller & smaller. I have to keep sizing up in my Brooks Addictions. I’ve worn them for years & love the support!

Greatest sneakers! The color is awesome and the stability is the best!

This is the 3rd time I have bought this shoe. I walk up to 4 miles a day on my desk treadmill Monday - Friday. These shoes are great. They hold up well are incredibly comfortable and have great arch support. I highly recommend them as a walker.

I was disappointed in this shoe, the front toe bed is narrow and shorter compared to the pair I have.
