Really great looking shoe. Fit well with my orthotics and seemed to be wide enough to accommodate my bunions. Seem to have great support. However, they squeaked badly with my custom orthotics in place (but they did NOT squeak when orthotics were removed, for those of you who do not need to wear them). Seem to have decent arch support, but I cannot be a good judge of that since I always need the extra arch support of my orthotics. Wonderful soft, cushy insole, but the inside bottom of the shoe was very hard--no flex at all (thus I returned these shoes), so when the padded insoles wear out, I would need to buy some very expensive insoles to replace these.

I've been wearing the Brooks Addiction shoes for a long time, and they have fit fine. But when I went to put these on (having kept them for when the last pair wore out) they did not fit, at all. They are too narrow across the top of my foot, just where the bunion is. The foam is more prominent on the tongue. Lacing more loosely did not help. They look cheaper, too. I looked at the label. Made in China, and the last pair, that fit, was made in Vietnam. Maybe that is the source of the quality problem? So -- Brooks, if another of your line fits me, well and good; but I will be looking elsewhere as well. Thank you Zappos for your liberal return policy.

I have bought Brooks Addictions for several years because of my plantar fasciitis. I sure wish I could get some of the older models, though, (like 12) because this 13 just feels a bit narrow and the heel is not very deep. I wear orthotics in the heel and, although it has worked with models in the past, this one feels too high, like my heel will slip out of the shoe. I found a few 12s on line but they are narrow and this B width already feels a bit too narrow. I will keep them and hope to break them in. I may have to find a brand other than Brooks for my next shoes.

I'm very disappointed with this version of Addiction. I've purchased multiple Addiction shoes, even in the same version, just because they worked so well. But the 13 appears totally different. My feet became so agitated, I had to go to the podiatrist. Tried other brands, but none compared to the earlier Addiction. Not sure what's next.

I'm a longtime Brooks Addiction addict, and like many other, I'm bummed out by these shoes. I tried them in spite of the reviews, and they are going back. They look like I have dolphins hanging off my ankles! Just big boxy ugly shoes, and in fact they are harder to walk in than my old Addiction shoes because of their clunkiness. I hope Brooks takes the hint and goes back to something more streamlined.

I’ve been wearing Brooks for several years now, but this is not the right shoe for me. I prefer my new Brook’s Ghost 10 and will be returning these.

The fit of the Addiction 13 has changed. I have worn nothing but this style for the last seven years due to plantar fasciitis and bunions and could count on this one shoe fitting perfectly. Other Brooks styles were too tight, and now the fit of Addiction 13 is noticeably tighter/less material across the ball of the foot than all previous versions. Therefore I'm returning mine and might try wide, although I don't need wide all over. An unfortunate problem with the new edition.

These shoes were life savers for me last year in their previous incarnation as the Addiction 12. They fit. The narrow was just right. The 10.5 was a true 10.5-not too short. The Addiction 13, however is a different ballgame. It appears cheesier in appearance, which I could forgive were it not for its other deficiencies. Whenever I'm forced into an 11 N, it is ALWAYS too wide. My foot is a 10-10.5 N-AAA. I need padding under the front of the foot and adequate arch support for moderate pronation. Unfortunately, Brooks has taken to padding the front in such a way as to make the shoe feel at least a half-size smaller. The 10.5 felt 1/2 size small, but so did the 11, so what's up, Brooks? Where's the quality control? For the price, I expect more. You're the last resort for a lot of us and we are willing to pay for the right shoe, but this ain't it. Have actual people try these out. The factory is not getting it right.

These are really cute but run small except in the heel. I'd order a half size up, but the heel seems too wide. The shoe was slipping off my heel. Otherwise, these are really comfortable. Too bad!

An ankle injury gives me chronic pain and I need shoes to stabilize my gait. I was hoping these could replace the Brooks Ariel 14 style that I had worn through. The soles of these shoes are extremely stiff. Inside, there is a ton of cushioning. However, the heel cup is shallow and my heel slipped from side to side when I walked in them. They were not the shoes to help stabilize my gait.

I have worn Brooks Addiction for the last 3 to 4 year. It has been the only shoe that I can wear to work all day with comfort. I have been looking forward to a new color and was excited when I saw that Brooks had introduced the new Addiction 13. Unfortunately, The new Addiction 13 has come out with some changes. It is too narrow for my narrow to medium foot. The extra cushion in the insole makes the shoe feel even smaller. I'm so disappointed. I am now searching for another brand or style that can take its place.

Fit was great - needed very wide, supportive shoe after breaking out of cam boot after surgery. Unfortunately the material around the inside ankle has worn off on both sides, leaving holes. I read this in another review of these and have to agree that for the money this shouldn't happen. I've never had it happen with all the other Brooks, Mizzunos, & expensive running shoes over decades.

Too small and narrow - and I have very narrow feet.

I wear an 8.5 narrow and have "problem" feet. The left shoe fit fine but the right one seemed too short and too tight in the toe area. Had to return them.

I have to agree with some of the other people who purchased these shoes in that they run narrow. My feet hurt after wearing them all day. I was prepared to have some comfy padded shoes but that is not the case. I had ordered a pair in the past and thought I had just not ordered the correct size, but after trying again I came up with the same problems. Not a great fit!

After decades of wearing Brooks Addiction exclusively, the Addiction 13s do not fit like the other Brooks did. They run smaller, nearly half a size, and have a wider heel. Very disappointing. The size 8 is too small and 8 1/2 is too big. They do eventually stretch and I've kept one pair I bought several months ago but breaking them in took forever. Brooks Addiction used to need no break-in time at all. I've bought a pair of Brooks Ariel which has great cushioning but lacks the support of the Addiction model. At least the fit is excellent on the Ariels.

These are a little snug and very heavy. They feel like I'm running in bricks. I hope overtime it will get better.

I have tried 2-3 sizes bigger than I usually wear. This shoes STILL DOES NOT FIT! My toe is still hitting the edge of the shoe. Too bad. Runs small. Other brands I wear a 10.5 size, the size 12 in this style does not fit!
