They hurt my bunion.

I really wanted to like these shoes but the negatives were far too many. They fit at least 1/2 size small & felt very tight but may work for someone with a narrow foot (mine is average). The overall look was very cheap & old lady looking imo. I expected far more for the price but like all things these are just my opinions. I will not try any other styles in this Brand due to how underwhelmed I was with these. Zappos was great as usual.

They were bulky and stuff. I haven’t tried addiction before. Not cushiony enough for me and too stiff/bulky

Not as comfortable as the New Balance shoes I normally wear. Seemed a little tight around the arch and the support was not what I am used to from New Balance. Will try another Brooks style next time.

I have an old pair of Addiction 11's and the 13's are definitely different. They are too short and the heel cup is not deep enough. I add custom orthotics which fit perfectly in my 11's, not so in the 13's. My heels feel like they're too high out of the shoe. The laces are also different lengths. I can make a nice tie on the right, but the left lace is shorter and doesn't loop as well. I am on my feet and walk all day and the support is great on the Addictions, better than my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18's. The material on the 13's looks cheaper as well. These are expensive sneakers, I expected better. I am exchanging for a half size larger, because I need the support, otherwise I don't know what I'll do. I'd also like some better colors in wide widths. These are super ugly, but the dark grey is okay.

I have worn Brooks Addiction for many years. This pair were much too small. It is the first time that I experienced this. I am looking for a different shoe now.

Been wearing Brooks Addiction for close to 10 years. This new design is not an improvement. It is definitely a half size smaller than the 12, and like other have pointed out the cushion around the Achilles area sucks. It kind of feels like they aren't cut quite as high around the entire ankle, but maybe the lacing doesn't come up as high. Overall the shoe does feel as stable as previous versions, and I haven't found a shoe as stable as it is by far, but the previous versions were better.

This shoe is very wide and long for a 7EE. Will order in 6.5EE. It's a rather 'clunky' looking shoe, more sole that I like, but it does stabilize your gait and can be worn with custom made orthotic. I am concerned by other reviews regarding holes wearing in the cloth part.

I have worn Brooks Addictions for years....................these don't fit. The bed is not designed as it was in the past. Most painful.

I usually wear a 10 Wide in New Balance and I have wide, flat feet that over pronate - I wanted to give these a try, as the description sounded like they would be very supportive for my problem feet.....They felt too wide and they didn't hug my feet properly. Perhaps I don't need a Wide in this style, but I also felt that they were unattractive and not fun looking at all....back to New Balance I go!

toe box changed in this addiction 13??? uncomfortable now ..I also have a whole in the mesh toe box area of this shoe?? I have always ordered narrow addiction shoes until now..What happened??to quality?

Size was only issue, changed shoe with same brand and size was true. Addiction run a full size smaller.

The back of these shoes is so low my heel slips out. I have other Brooks running shoes that don't have this problem so sadly I have to return.

I have been running with my custom orthodics in Brooks Addiction for over 12 years and this was the first series to disappoint 2 times. I had the same issue with the inner lining ripping after 2 runs! I gave another pair a chance and had the same issue. I am hoping Brooks resolves this manufacturing defect as I loved BA shoes for many years!

I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I needed and in wide width. Way too big and I like to have the wide shoes but these were really wide. If I ever reorder would get my usual size in wide, or "D" width. But I also have a problem with the 12mm drop since I have metatarsalgia. Well cushioned shoes, though.

Nice looking shoes. Good support and cushioning. Tight in toes.

I have had several pair of brooks shoes and most work for me. These had plenty of support in the back but I felt the front was lacking in cushion especially with my orthotics in. The insole is very cushy, more so than any other brooks shoe I’ve had, but sadly, without it in the shoe there was little cushion in the ball of the foot. I found I did not care for the enormous amount of padding in the collar either. Im sure that padding adds to ankle stabilization but for me it was a bit much which made them feel a bit clunky. They also look a bit orthopedic for me and I wasn’t a fan however, I loved the colors. I guess I will try the new glycerines and see where that goes.

I bought these for my mom. She has worn the Dyad 8 for a couple of years and needed a new pair. Since they don't have the Dyad 8 in her size anymore she decided on these. They did not work for her. She said they made her ankles hurt so I returned them and got her a pair of the Dyad 9.

I've been having a hard time finding running shoes with a wider toe box. Like many others who have written reviews, so many of the manufacturers are making narrower toes. I have a pair of Brooks Ghost 9's that fit reasonably well, but I didn't like the colors of the current Ghost. I thought these Additional 13's would work, but my feet hurt when I run. They are OK in the front, and my toes don't go numb, but despite all the cushioning, my arches are not happy. Just another disappointing pair of shoes in my closet.

I miss the Addiction 12. The Addiction 13 is not orthotic friendly. I feel like it's going to fall off as there is not enough room for the orthotic and my heel slips out with every step. Wish I'd bought a bunch of the 12s when they were available.

I’m so disappointed! The Brooks Addiction 12 have been the best sneaker I’ve ever owned! I didn’t need to use an arch insert either. The 13 has some design changes that make the fit too loose on the ankle and tighter in the toe box. My pinky toe hits and rubs on the side wall of the sneaker. For this much money, it needs to be perfect. Going to have to return them and start over finding the perfect sneaker for a pronator. ??

This redesign looks and feels cheaper than prior Addiction models (and I have run several half marathons in about 4-5 of the past models). I found the Ariel 16 for $10 cheaper on Zappos and decided to go with that instead. Doesn't seem as cheaply made and just as, if not more comfortable.

My first Brooks shoe was the one with leather and it was not forgiving enough for me to wear too long on the areas of pain in my foot. So I tried this shoe which has the mesh and really helped for this problem. My 10.5 wide is almost perfect, I was thinking maybe the 11 would give me just a smidgen more room. It did give me the extra length I was looking for but then was too loose on the heel. I also tried the 10.5 Extra wide, while it felt super super good to my foot, when I walked around in my house I found the arch support did not fit me correctly and it immediately threw my back off, so that too sadly has to go back. I have also tried multiple arch supports to no avail, none of the over the counter ones work for me - I do not need to add an arch support at all with the Brooks. For the first time I can walk for a while without discomfort! I am going to stay with the 10.5 wide which is the best shoe I have tried over many others.
