I have three boys, so I have the triclimate jacket in multiple sizes - I buy it for the oldest, then get 4-6 winters out of it by the time it has passed through the youngest. We live in Michigan, and they go out to recess as long as the wind chill is above zero! It has held up for three boys (that is #1 benefit for me), it's warm, and it works for snow play as well as for skiing. They all love zipping out the liner and using the liner and shell separately in the fall and spring - like their coat can do some awesome trick (I'm too kind to point out that most snow jackets are like that!!). Other than zipping out the liner, I think our most-used feature of the coat is either the hood (even if just over another hat, to help block wind on freezing days), and the velcro on the wrist cuffs, especially when a kid has just transitioned into the size and the arms are still a little big.

This is a wonderful coat for the cool fall days, the freezing winter, and the early spring days. I love how easy it is to merge the layers. The inner layer is very soft and my son loves how easy it is to move around.

Bought this for my 3 year old for this upcoming winter (it's currently spring) he's been wearing the underneath jacket and it's a little big at the sleeves but it doesn't interfere with him playing outdoors. Keeps him warm and happy!

I've been looking for a warmer winter coat after my son nearly outgrew the one he had and the new one was we boughht tore after a couple of uses. We've had North Face jackets before, but because of the price, tried others. Yes, they are expensive, but they are durable and will last. Not to mention my son loves it!

Have not used it yet as its for next year but am confident it will be great

Great jacket!

Very pleased with this coat, my son uses the shell as a rain coat, the puffy coat alone and then together when we are in the snow or the weather is cold. He takes it to school and easily fits it in his backpack (2nd grader) when the afternoon warms up.

This jacket is true to size, warm, and looks great. The zip out liner is great for casual wear and my son loves wearing it. We've skied in very cold weather this winter with no complaints!

Great service and product

I was looking for something warm but stylish that could go from school to dressing up for church. It was perfect.

The jacket is just exactly what I was expecting, North Face always on poin, I love it and my boy was extremely happy with it.

It is comfortable and right for this time of the year.

Great jacket over all. It’s not bulky like most winter jackets. It keeps my 10 yr old son warm and dry on very cold days in MN. Stylish kids jacket, I would recommend it.

We love it! We have previously bought the Vortex Triclimate, and it was wonderful. Held up great, it still looks great. Love the versatility of the triclimates!! We recently moved from the South to cold and snow up North, so there was no question that we would get the warmer Boundary Triclimate! My son loves it, and had to wear it the next day, even though the Vortex was still warm enough. There is no going back, he’s put it away and is wearing his new Boundary Triclimate. You can never go wrong with The North Face jackets, in my opinion!

My grandsons now walk 10 blocks to and from school and needed a warm coat.. they love these coats. And like it says .. 3 coats in 1

I have bought this same jacket three times now for my boys. It is a great buy, extremely durable, and has lasted as a hand me down. The dual layers are great together, and provide flexibility during the change if seasons. Just bought the adult version for me 16 year old!

My son has had Bean three in one coats for years and after a few days of this coat, he says it's much better and more comfortable. If he's happy and warm, then I'm happy. Good quality coat and nice looking. Recommend.

We have been buying the kids' North Face Boundary Triclimate jacket for the last 6 years, and each jacket is durable enough to last through two different boys. It goes through the washing machine well, too. This is an excellent performance jacket as well as an everyday use jacket whether it is rainy or snowy. Our kids have worn them in subzero temperatures in Minnesota and stayed warm as long as they layer up underneath. The outer layer is waterproof, so they always stay dry in it. The inner layer can be used as a separate coat in the shoulder seasons as long as it isn't raining heavily. We will keep buying this jacket as long as North Face keeps making it!

Fits my 6 year old perfect. I love that it has 2 jackets in one. He wears the inside now that it's fall! I would absolutely recommend this jacket!

My son loves winter sports and activities and this coat will be perfect for at least a couple years. The outer shell will keep him dry. We are taking this coat to Iceland and it will be perfect for the wet and cold weather.

This is a great versatile jacket. My son wore it as a snow jacket and also as a rain jacket. It is super practical/ waterproof and hardwearing. Highly recommend. I am buying for the second time as my son grew out of the last one.
