I've purchased the Gel Kayano's since being diagnosed with plantar fasciitis 4 years ago (podiatrist recommended these or Brooks). I bought at least 2 pair Gel Kayano per year each year. After reading bad reviews on the 23s, I merely purchased more 22s to hold me over. I cant find any more 22s so thought I would try the 24s & I'm pretty disappointed. The comfort is just not there & they're making my feet tingle feel like I'm walking on needles. Went back to my old 22s & my feet are fine. Sadly, this will be my last Asics purchase. Why did they have to try to "fix" something that wasnt broken? Very sad to say bye to Asics

I bought these about a week ago. I've worn Gel-Kayano's since 2008. They've always been great and I always fussed at myself for not purchasing new shoes ever. These are probably the worst shoe I've ever worn. After wearing them for an hour, my feet were KILLING me! There's no support and it feels like I'm walking on hard bricks. The top of the shoe hurts also.

I was so excited to buy another pair of Asics as my last two pair of 21's had finally worn out. Much to my dismay, I bought a pair that felt great in the store, but when I wore them to work they hurt my feet. I thought perhaps I just needed to break them in, but with the new hard toe they are not budging. Wish I had realized this before spending so much money on something I am going to have to give away.

Little to no cushion in these shoes .... don't waste your money. Not up to past Asics brand quality....They feel stiff when you put them on and get worse from there. You just know they have to be great because they're ASICS right ? WRONG !! Not anymore ....someone's dropped the ball over there

Just ordered two pairs of the Gel Kayano 24 hoping the "improved fit" was actually improved. I have been wearing Gel-Kayano's since the 16 and have loved them. They have provided exceptional support for my feet and knees during my long 12+ hour work days where I am on my feet all day. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than my normal size due to reviews. Shoe was extremely tight through the toe box. My toes were almost to the end of the shoe despite the increase in shoe size. Changed out my socks to a thinner running sock and still experienced terrible pain through the toes. Without even taking a step my feet were hurting. Verified that I wasn't sent the narrow shoe by mistake. No such luck. Shoe depth seems to be less than previous models, plus the reduction in toe box size, which could be why there was so much pressure through my toes. I am beyond disappointed and will have to return these shoes. On a positive the color options are great however, that does no good if you can't stand to wear them. Please return the toe box to the width of the previous models.

I was really excited to get these shoes, but when I went for a run the first time, the bottoms of my feet were covered in blisters. I thought it was because they were new, but months later, they still cause blisters. Unfortunately they were expensive, otherwise I would've thrown them away and found a different pair.

I've been wearing Gel Kayanos for years, and I do not like the new redesign. The overall fit is smaller and the shoes are too tight to wear comfortably. I will be returning these. Also, since every pair ends up with a hole in the back ankle after a few months, I am finally ready to move on to another brand.

Disappointed. The narrow width is significantly wider than in previous models. Hope you go back to the more narrow width for those w narrow feet. Thx!

I love to run, 100 miles a week! I have been wearing Kayano's for 10 years, and they are the best! Until now!!!! The reconstruction of the shoe is causing me pain on the top of my foot! It is so severe that I just about threw them in the trash. I will be returning these horrible shoes.

I been in wearing the Kayanos for over 8 years and this is the most horrible version ever. I have never had so many blisters in my life! I have to put bandaids on my heels every time I walk in them and the toe box is too narrow by the baby toe. I wish they would bring back the 21s or 20s. So disappointed in the 24s. I had to switch brands and wait to see if the 25s are going to be better :(

I have been a loyal purchaser of Kayano since Kayano 17. However, having purchased 2 pairs of 24 I have had my feet crippled on long runs with the ever narrower box. Particularly disappointing that there is no d width available. I have had to abandon in favour of Brooks Ghost

I teach dance and fitness classes I only buy and recommend asics to my students. I have worn the Kayano 21,22, 23 which were all fantastic . I was so excited to get the Kayano 24's, very, very disappointed . I am so ready to send this back . I felt no support in heels, arch's, and my feet were killing me and my knees. I ran to get a new pair of shoes, in less than a week of having my Kayano's.I got GT1000 6. They feel amazing , better heel support, better pronation support and my entire foot, felt much more comfortable ! Also much better traction on the soles of the GT1000 6, then Kayano 24 .

I'm a long time wearer of this running shoe (since Kayano 15) and there's a reason Asics describes Kayano 24 as "improved fit": It''s because most runners were unhappy with the 22-23 versions (length ran short, and toe box was too narrow and shallow). The Kayano 21 was the perfect stability shoe for me I bought 9 pairs and ran many marathons in the 21s. Yet my go to Kayano is still not the same. At least the Kayano 24's length is now true to size - but the toe box is insanely narrow. I have narrow feet, and the toe box feels like a tourniquet. Below are photos of the Kayano 24 (blue) and Kayano 21 (gray/purple) both are the same size & width, and clearly the fit is not the same. As a distance runner, fit and performance means everything. The Kayano 24 doesn't fit - and this is a deal breaker. You've let me down again Asics.

I have been a dedicated Kayano wearer for years and wear them with orthotics for distance running. When I tried these on today, they felt like they had no cushioning at all, as though I had been running in them for months already. Furthermore, the heel cup didn't grip my heel at all and I kept slipping out. I'm still wearing my old 23s and I guess will just order another pair as they are overdue for replacement.

Hate the 24's. I've worn Kayano's for years and buy at least 3x / year. The 24's are the worst shoe. They hurt after only a couple hours at most. Get a different shoe. You won't be happy with these.

I have worn several pairs of this shoe and have loved them. However, I had to return the new version. It was very disappointing. I found the sole way too rigid and the shoe generally uncomfortable. In all, it just seemed more cheaply constructed than earlier versions.
