After 10 years of wearing the ASICS-Gel Kayano, I was really bummed that, in this version, they cheapened the feel and materials to the point where it is a sub-par sneaker. I have bought this sneaker religiously, year after year, and this year the padding around the ankle was greatly reduced and just running up and down my staircase I felt the sneaker chafe in a way that they never had before. So disappointed that I now need to start from the beginning to find another brand that fits the way the Gel-Kayano used to.

These felt tight out of the box. I couldn't even feel any arch support. My toes were numb within 20 minutes of having them on and just walking around the house. Love the style and color. They would have been comfy had they been half size bigger. I'm going to exchange and see if they feel better.

Not great if you have even a mild bunion. What drew me was that these address over-pronation. Though I saw many reviews about narrow toe box, as a [former, now done with] ASICS wearer, I thought I would give these a shot. People were right. I found the toe box narrow even when I went up half size to 9.5. My feet were very unhappy. A helpful Zappos customer rep recommended I try Brooks, a brand I had never tried (or frankly even heard of). I ordered the Brooks Adrenaline 18, that also addresses over-probation. 9.5 gives me lots of room, great arch support and offers more cushioning. Now for the road-testing.

This was my 4th generation of Kayano. I have loved all previous pairs, generation 21-23, so I expected the same out of these. I was terribly wrong. I don’t know what ASICS has changed but these shoes are terrible. They hurt my feet within 2 hours. I tried to give them a chance for a week but I couldn’t take it. I returned them. I won’t buy another pair of Kayanos until they change them back to the 21-23.

I've always worn asics. Needed to replace my 3 year old pair for zumba, but all of the reviews were right. Tried them on and they were too small in the toe box and they were also not as cushioned. I'm packing them right back up and unforturnately sending back.

The Asics just do not fit like they used to, seem not very well made. i have worn Asics for over 10 years now i can't find one that fits properly.

I have been wearing the Gel Kayano for many years. Unfortunately, they just don’t fit the same. The toe box is too narrow and overall uncomfortable. I am disappointed that the shoe I could always count on to fit and feel good is no longer my “go to” shoe.

I was hopeful after reading reviews that this model would be better than the past few. I love my pair from several years ago but have had several models since that continually feel much more narrow even after ordering half size larger and wide with (which the old pair was not). Unfortunately, I'll be switching brands as this shoe is no longer my "go to" for working out.

I had such high hopes for the GEL_Kayano 24s as the 23s were (are) my all time favorites. I remember the first time I tried on the 23s I felt like I was walking on clouds. The 24s feel like I'm walking on cement. The arch support is non-existent and has made my plantar fasciitis flare up terribly. I like the color choices and style but beyond that the shoes are awful for people who need support and cushioning. Just avoid these shoes. Period.

Too narrow across foot. Disappointed that asics has changed the width since the Kayano 21. Have to go up a full size and then the rest of the shoe is just too big. Very disappointed that I will have to find a new brand of shoes for my pronation issue.

This shoe looks really great on. It's not bulky at all, but it does run a little small. I usually wear a 9, but had to go up to 9.5 in these for the length and they are still not wide enough. The toe box is not very roomy at all and the top of the shoe seems to have a low profile, making it tight where the laces start from the toe area. The heel has great cushioning, but under the ball of the foot feels very hard. The shoes are also a bit stiff compared to my other Asics. I bought these to help with plantar fasciitis but they are not cushioned enough. There is also pretty much NO arch support. I am not a runner, but I usually wear running shoes for the comfort. I think I am going to have to return these because they are just not comfortable enough for the price. Why does it have to be so hard to find a shoe that looks AND feels good?
