I have worn SAS Shoes for over 30 years because they are the only brand that allow me to walk in comfort without pain. They are extremely well-made, crafted in the USA which is a huge plus, and offer comfort that I have not found elsewhere for my arthritic feet. I've worn the Roamer before, loved the comfort and stability but after many years, they needed replacing. I simply purchased the same size as before, but when I got them home and walked in them, they seemed to fit differently than my previous pair. I measured them against my old pair and they are longer and a little wider than the previous pair in the exact same size. Also, the footbed feels somewhat harder and thinner and the strap cuts into the side of my foot. If I had not already worn them, I would have returned them. So disappointed. I hope SAS will not let the quality of their product slip, and that they will review the standardization of their sizes.

Ordered 2 pairs - Santolina color OK, a bit shiny. Disappointed in SAGE - Thought it was SMOOTH leather - it is SUEDED leather which I DID NOT want - it stains easily and is hard to clean.(even water spots). I already have a pair purchased from my family shoe store - it does not wear well. Shoes are comfortable - have several pairs in different colors, but wanted a lighter color for spring in smooth leather that can be polished. Not happy with this pair. Considering returning.

Size and fit were fine. They looked and fit more like house slippers than expected.

I bought these in a store, where I was fitted. My usual SAS size is 9.5 N ir S. The 9.5 seemed a little short, so I ended up with a 10S. They have never been comfortable. My foot slides forward, and the support is iin the wrong place, despite having pads put in under the insole. I have many pairs of SAS shooed that I wear regularly. I really like this style, and wish I could find a pair that fit.

It seems to run small and first I bought a 7 and I thought I needed to go up a half a size and that didn't really help.

Some time ago I purchase this style in black. I loved the shoe and pretended I didn't see the problem. My high instep made it difficult with the Velcro closure. I was able to wear them from time to time but the shoe tended to "pop" open. I was never able to really get anything near the value vs the price paid. It is a nice shoe but anyone with a high instep should beware. I have problems finding shoes that fit locally and ordering can be hit and miss.

I bought these shoes for my mom for Mother's Day. They are stylish enough but they are labeled as double wide. They not wide at all. I had to return them.

After years of buying and wearing SAS shoes, this is the first one I've been disappointed with. I simply didn't feel right on my foot and I won't wear it very often.

I like the style of this shoe but do not find it comfortable. It felt shorter and narrower than other SAS shoes I have purchased in 7.5M. The toe box isn’t very deep, so my toes rubbed against the top of the shoe. I don’t think a larger size would fix the problems. This style just doesn’t work for my feet (:-

The shoe ran same on me and I have a narrow foot. But the insole also did not lay flat. Buckle up where the ball of the foot would be. For the price these shoes should be better. But with that said I am considering trying a half size larger. Maybe the third time will be the charm?

I am going to have to return these I usually wear a 7, and got the 7.5, if I re-order it will be a size 8. So glad you have a good return system. I am desperate to find a shoe that will help me through a difficult time of foot pain. Thank you Jo

These look very nice, but would not accommodate my orthotic insoles. I ordered a half size larger than my normal size and still felt like Cinderella's stepsister.

This shoe felt short. It just did not give the comfort that I was hoping for. I don't know if a longer size would be the answer, but I knew that I could get another SAS shoe with a better fit, because I do need solid support! This shoe was too light weight for that.

I took the insole out and put in my arch support which caused my heel to slip out of the shoe. Cute shoe but no support

I am disappointed that Roamer is not comfortable for me. First, I had to get a half size longer because they were too short. Then, I had metatarsal padding added for better support. When I wear them for a day at work, my feet and back ache by then of the day. I have at least 12 other pairs of SAS shoes and sandals that I wear all the time. I really want a fisherman-stye shoe to wear for walking in the summer.

Compared to same shoes from other years, these have slick soles. Very little traction. Have owned at least 5 other pairs, newest purchased are slick. Have had foot slip at least twice.

These are very pretty shoes, and they are comfortable, except the back side of the shoe cut into my heel. Because it is padded there, I don't think there is any way they would ever be comfortable on me.

This shoe should have felt really good. The leather was soft, the shoe was expensive! But there was a "something" that was very uncomfortable! A spot of a seam that was too thick or the threads were too stiff or "something"! A shame, but the arch support was lacking also.

I went to the SAS shoe store to get some comfortable shoes I used to wear them when I was working so thought I would try them again I was looking for a dress shoe. The shoe salesman was very nice and helpful trying to find a good fit. They felt pretty good in the store with peds. But when I put them on the next day and wore them they were really painful on my little toe. Since the store was 60 miles away I decided to take them to a shoe repair he stretched the area and it felt fine. I've been trying to wear them now for 4 days, there is absolutely no cushioning or arch support and I can't wear them more than 1 hour or 2 at most. Very disappointed in the shoes and the company. It would have been easier to order from zappos then I could have returned them as soon as I found out they were painful!

Way too pricey. Ordered my usual size 9.5 W. It seems they start with a 9.5 then add padding, resulting in not much room in the shoe for my foot. Returned.
