Shoes arrived from AMAZON??? They were obvious returns. Not packaged well. These were EXPENSIVE shoes. Expected new shoes.

I got these in a 9N and they feel a little long, maybe because the toe box is so roomy. Also a little loose in in the heel. Both toes have a little scratch or place the dye didn't take. I might try them later in an 8.5N but for now I'm going to return them and keep looking.

I purchased these Viva shoes 25 years ago, loved them..back than excellent support and comfort on the feet. I have had both hips replaced and back surgery, the Viva Shoes were a pleasure. NOT anymore. Now they have a cheap thin insole which causes my feet much pain, hip and back pain. The last two purchases have been a waste of money for me. What a shame since I had loved these shoes prior.

I ordered a Wide, but it seems that I really needed a double Wide. I wore the shoes to work and my feet hurt so bad at the end of the day. I’m pretty sure that I can’t return the shoes because they’ve been worn outside.

I do not like the change in the material for the insoles to the thinner blue-lined bottoms of the inner soles, like in running or walking shoes. I liked the old, thicker insoles you used for years. They were more durable and much easier to to slide my orthotics in & out of my shoes to transfer to another pair of shoes. I also prefer the soles on my other pairs.

I have been looking for comfortable black shoes for my neuropathic feet for the last year. Thought these would be the answer. I bought my size which is 7 narrow. They are a half size to long, and I think size 6 1/2 would be to short. My heel also would slip, big time. I don’t know what the answer is for me as my size is almost nonexistent locally.

This design, while comfortable, was designed with a rounder wider toe box and looked a bit "clunky" to me.

i purchased this style shoe 20 years ago and thought it was the most comfortable shoe I had ever worn. I still have that pair but they have turned into my outside gardening shoes. I've tried other brands and never found another pair that comes close unless it was a pair of tennis shoes. I finally decided to bite the bullet (they are pretty expensive) and purchase another pair. The leather is very stiff and hard but I know it will soften up. They are not as comfortable as I remember but I went ahead and kept them. Now I'm wondering if I made the right choice. Maybe with time.......

anyone else old enough to know what the phrase "combination last" means? Well, it's the odd notion that the forefoot might be wider than the heel. When did they stop paying attention to this? Is it too hard to make shoes like that? anyway, blah, blah, blah. I bought these shoes in 9B and 9W. When I ordered them it was still "winter weight socks" season. the B didn't fit at ALL the wide was still a little tight in the toes but too loose in the heel. I tried a pair of Allegria Keli which has a wide toe box, so with "spring" socks the B in these will work. I guess I need a shoe where the width is in the style, rather than counting on the size accomodating the fact that I actually have bones in my forefoot. Sorry, I'm cranky this morning...

I thought this shoe was cute. Unfortunately, once I put in my orthotics it was tight and the top part of the shoe squeezed the skin out bunching it up. The width was ok, but on this shoe I would need a EEE instead of WW and they don't carry EEE...Also, it is a long shoe, I felt like I was wearing clown shoes. So sad, great leather, if it would have fit, I am sure It would have been comfortable, a 7.5 EEE would have been perfect for me. Thank you Zappos, I love you guys. You are always professional, kind in your returns and helping. Long time customer!

I have worn the SAS Dream shoe for years, Size 10N. With this SAS Viva shoe, I bought a 10N, then exchanged it for a 9 1/2 S. I wore it around the house on carpet for awhile and thought it would be okay so I kept it, but I realize now I should have exchanged it again for a 9S. There's a big difference in size just to get the same fit. It is a very comfortable shoe, but I'm disappointed in the size difference.

This is the third time returning expensive well made shoes to Zappos due to extended toe area. I am not the first person to complain about this. Why the added length onto the toe area? Very sad. Not worth even trying to find a good shoe when they are all too long in toe. The rest fits perfectly. Its very odd, a whole toe length extra added on the end unnecessarily. I give up!

I own several pair of SAS shoes, and like them. I always wear a 10 1/2 slim. These shoes unfortunately do not fit. They slide off my heel and are too wide. I tried wearing them around the house with socks, and with an orthotic insert, but they still slip off my heels. I bought them, knowing they were not attractive, because I needed something one step up from an athletic shoe when I need to be on my feet but have to dress professionally. I have such a difficult to fit foot so I tried to make them work, but they don't.

I have purchased Viva shoes for many, many years. The ones I purchased last year are not the same. They are still comfortable compared to other shoes, but they have been cheapened up. Also, all the others I had purchased in the past had been good on ice & snow. Not these. The first time wearing them I had to walk on a light coating of ice. Thankfully my sister-in-law was right next to me and grabbed me before I fell. I was horrified since my other Viva shoes had always had me feeling confident walking on a little ice. These shoes are SO SLIPPERY. And for someone who's had hip replacements and revisions, it was scary. Will not wear them if there's any ice or snow. What did SAS do to these shoes???

The shoe was not comfortable for me. However, I do have a lot of foot issues. So I am returning my purchase for a refund. I am waiting for my return label so that I can return them. I have been waiting for two days!

I purchased both this shoe and the Dream style in slim at the same time. I am a true slim and SAS is about the only shoe company that makes that width. I have nothing in my closet except SAS slims. Usually I adore them and they are perfect. This shoe, however, won't stay on my feet. The heels are just too wide, even with fairly thick socks. If you are looking for slim shoes that fit, pick other SAS styles unless you are enamored of scrunching your toes (and subsequently getting sore arches) to try to keep them on your feet.

I bought these shoes for my mom for Mother's Day. They are stylish enough but they are labeled as double wide. They not wide at all. I had to return them.
