this is a nice shoe but i ordered a pair of finn comfort at the same time and although finn is pricey the quality and fit is well worth it.

The shoe is great. The craftsmanship is excellent. The comfort is great EXCEPT for one thing. The synthetic fabric on the shoe's inset causes the soles of my feet to get overly hot and have a burning sensation. Does any one else have this symptom?

I'm still searching for work shoes now that I have peripheral neuropathy from chemo. The shoe was comfy but toe box huge. The arch on 1 foot did not line up. Not so bad looking with trousers eventhough they were orthopedic looking. Proudly made, no glue or odd edges. Just didn't work for me.

The leather in this shoe is beautiful, and the fit on my arthritic feet is quite good. However, the shoe seems very heavy. Although the picture indicated enough detail in the toe to help minimize length,in the actual size 10 there is too much expanse of plain leather. The shoe would be much better looking in a smaller size.

I got this shoe for the large toebox, the wide width and the SAS quality. I wanted a good, comfortable, sturdy and not too orthotic looking shoe for everyday run to the store kinda errands and around the house goings on. I did not realize I was getting the S-Motion Technology when I ordered...hummm...different and I am still trying to decide if I like that "technology" for the purpose for which I purcahsed the shoe. I do really like the way it feels when I am walking however, standing is not so comfortable. And, the sole is stiff. If I was just using this shoe for walking, I think it would be a keeper. But, I think it will be going back.

Slips in the heel, even with a moderately thick sock on. Also has a bit more " orthopedic shoe" vibe than I would like. Seems very well made, and overall very comfortable

The size was good except the heel, I was walking out of the shoe and had to return it. The tongue was too short and too narrow, with no center strap of leather for the laces to keep it from sliding sideways. The blueberry color was lovely and the length and width fit my AA foot with a comfortable toebox. The smooth leather is just what I always buy for simple upkeep.

No matter how tightly I tied these shoes, the left shoe slipped off my heel. As others reviewers have noted, they are also very heavy. At this price point, they would have to be perfect for me to keep them. I did like the navy color.

Was planning to wear for both work and athletic. The heel slipped on one of the shoes and they weren't as narrow as I wanted even though they were slim. The customer experience was not great: took a day and a half to get the return authorized and when I called the customer service person was not friendly.

This review is directed specifically to ladies with narrow feet. These shoes are probably fine (albeit kind of stodgy looking imo) but were overall too wide.

I’ve worn rocker bottom shoes before, but the rock on this shoe feels extreme. All the weight gets placed on the arch just below the heel instead of being spread cross the foot. The rest of the shoe fit is lovely.

I wanted to like these shoes but they were off. The shoes were about a half inch longer than the size. The result was my orthotics were too short. I ordered longer orthotics. These fit the shoes. I ordered AA width. The shoes were still too wide even without the orthotics. And the heels were even wider leaving my heels to slip up and down as I walked. I am returning them.

Note this review is ONLY applicable for people who have to wear plastic custom insoles for foot problems. My insoles scrape against the side of the shoe, producing an embarrassing noise every step I take. I have been wearing plastic insoles for decades and with other shoes I have either put baby powder in the shoes a few times or used Vaseline around the edges of the insoles a few times and either one of those will solve the problem permanently. Not with these shoes! I have tried both solutions multiple times and still get the noise! Don't know what is different about these particular shoes, as I have been wearing SAS for about 20 years.

I usually like tie shoes because that style keeps my heel from sliding up and down. These fit well when I was standing still, but the shoe rubbed on my ankle bone when I walked around the house in them. There was plenty of wiggle room in the toe box for my wide foot. However, the sole felt stiff, not flexible enough for my comfort.

I always buy SAS now...I have painful feet and they always deliver a remarkable and stylish shoe! I wanted to love this shoe so much - because I have a winter vacation with a lot of walking coming up soon...but for some reason the shoe did not like me. The right shoe, in particular, seemed to irritate my front foot so I had to send it back. Otherwise, it was very supportive. I had ordered two other pair at the same time and they are working out great.
