This shoe is more attractive in person than it is in the photo and I love this color, which adds a bit of zip, rather than black. I need a medium because I need the toe room, but I also need a tie shoe because my heel is narrow. This shoe is perfect! Plenty of toe room, yet it grips my heel. I LOVE these shoes!!!

This is my 4th pair of this shoe model over the years. With Othotics, I walk in comfort all day.

Love! Love! Love! I had purchased the Walk Easy, which I love, but the color was a washed out charcoal. Was hesitant on these, but they are black and SO very comfortable. I also bought the Gretchen. First time with SAS, and I will now be buying only SAS. Absolutely pleased.

The fit was great except for my heel. Thanks to a SAS employee that showed me how to do a "Runners" lace up and it would tighten up back of heel. Since then no problem with any shoes.

I've worn Free Time for years and they are the best. Unfortunately, this pair in "Denim" looked like a dusty blue in the photo, but it is really a pale, light blue. I am returning them because of the color. Navy Free Time have been unavailable in my size for a long time, so I was hoping these would work. No such luck.

These shoes have very good arch support and provide ample room for your feet. If you are seeking a quality shoe with good support I would recommend these. I'm getting more adjusted to the looks of the shoe as it's supportive for my flat feet and other foot conditions.

Most comfortable shoes I have worn in ages. Recovering from severe sciatica and MD, podiatrist, and physical therapist insisted I get shoes with string support. Found good pair of sneakers but needed something more ‘dressy’. While these are not fashion forward the comfort makes up for lack of style. Worth every penny.

I bought these in the denim, medium width. I am 5'5", overweight, 69 yo, have osteoarthritis in both my knees. I'm doing well on Weight Watchers, but still needed a shoe to cushion the impact of walking. I don't find that sneakers/athletic shoes fit the bill, no matter how much I pay. The fit of this shoe is perfection. I like the color, and the arch support. They are just a quality product in every way, so I expect them to last at least a couple of years. I know lace up shoes can be a hassle, but these are constructed in a way that they are easy to get on and off right out of the box. I feel like they were custom made, just for me. Thanks SAS! I'll be checking out your sandals for summer.

I love SAS shoes. This particular style is one that is very comfortable and is terrific for someone with bad feet. (I am diabetic and have many foot problems.) This is also nice looking; which is rare in a "diabetic" shoe. Great choice and wear very well -- I have my first pair from 6+ years ago.

I wish they did not have the words"free time" on the tongue of the shoe.

Fit was fine. Felt there was not enough traction on a smooth surface

It was too small and too narrow.

A very well made shoe, but for me there just wasn't enough arch support. Back in the day, SAS shoes were the only ones I could wear. But age does take its toll.

I have worn the Walk Easy shoe now for a couple of years. I decided to try Free Time in black as I had purchased the suede leather beige color, since that color was not available for Walk Easy. I liked the beige (I think it's called sage, the color that is) Free Time a lot! So, I ordered these black ones same size and width, but have found it less comfortable! It's narrower by some in the instep area, and comparing the soles they just are not the same. I will re order the Walk Easy in black, as that shoe has been very good, just heavier, I wanted a lighter shoe I have NOT found an athletic shoe that I can wear with my Rx orthotics over the past 3 years! :-( I have tried so many: I have some plantar fasciitis, initially a bunion on my left foot sent me to the podiatrist to get orthotics, plus I supinate (wear down to the outside of the sole). Thank goodness Zappos starting carrying SAS shoes, I can find wider widths that way. Without orthotics my feet are a 7 or 7 1/2 B or C width. I have to order EE in SAS shoes!! So glad it's available. Thank you SAS and Zappos!!

Nothing comforting about this shoe for me. It simply doesn’t run true to size for what I wear.

The toe box is narrower than what I would expect from such a wide width. Also I’m not a fashionista by any means but I cannot seeing wearing these.

Both tight in the width and in the length but arch support was okay.

The leather was very nice and I wanted to like the shoe but I have to return it since it is very slippery on my carpeting. Just 6 or 7 steps and I was sliding. Other than that it is a good shoe but not for me and my carpet.

It looked much better in the picture on line. When I opened the box I knew I wouldn’t wear them. They just aren’t what I thought they were.

The shoes are very heavy and hurt my feet all around especially an arch that is too high.

My problem is this: I went to my foot doctor and none of the shoes really fit me . The doctor said, I should first get my orthotics before I venture into new shoes. Thank you for for your good service. I will be back to you.

I was looking for a sturdy shoe in a wide width. Unfortunately, the shoe narrows in the front part of the shoe where I need a lot of width. It is a well made shoe but not for wide feet.

Shoe was wide at widest area across foot BUT then tapered in at toe box area. Looked ugly on feet. Took them off ASAP and returned for refund. If shoe advertises WW, why can’t they follow thru and be wide throughout whole shoe? Very disappointed in brand considering all the good reviews shoe had recieved.

Although I gave a 5 star rating to this pair of shoes, I am returning them. One inside leather piece was cut differently than the other shoe. It was larger because of a 'poof' in that middle piece and didn't fit closely to my foot.
