A friend recommended Zappos and I hesitated because if the shoes did not fit then I would have the hassle of returning them at my cost. I wear SAS and could not read the size on my old shoes ( I wear them to death) and took a guess on the size and low and behold--they fit perfectly! I am so happy and am sure I will order from Zappos again! I used to get my shoes in a mom and pops store before but they closed and it is a 2 1/2 drive to the next SAS shoes store. What a relief to have Zappos!

so very grateful to Zappos!! Old lady with life long very painful, deformed feet. You make it so easy to try shoes until a pair really works! You've been a gift in my life. After several tries with different shoes, styles, widths etc, I tried these and they are great. God solid support so the bones in my feet don't move around. Love that I can wear a lace up shoes in a "dressier"nubuck and in black so that my feet don't look orthopedic. AND they don't hurt! Thank you, Zappos

I like SAS shoes because I can always put them on and wear them for a walk and not have any issues. The shoes don't rub or irritate my feet. My only comment is they are somewhat expensive, but they are the most comfortable and they are made in the USA.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I just did not like the color Sage. I wear 12N. Later black was back in stock and I ordered a pair which arrived the day I was flying to France for 10 days. Without hesitation I packed the new black never worn shoes for France. We walked 10 miles a day and they never hurt. Ordinarily it is insane to take new shoes on a trip when they are not broken in. The style is meh, but the comfort and reliability is outstanding.

I really loved this shoe. I ordered the Charcoal which is really black suede. I usually wear a 9 W and I ordered this in a 9WW. Since my big toes tilt up on the end I felt like even in the WW I needed either a wider shoe or a 1/2 size longer. Unfortunatley at this time they are out of my color in the sizes I need so I am going to wait until that comes back to reorder. The feel of the shoe was very comfortable and soft. The arch support could be a smidge better but I would have kept if they a little wider. I want to try this in a 9 WWW.

I wore Aravon for a long time. The quality just isn’t there anymore, so I recently switched to SAS. I’m so glad I did. The show is comfortable, feels more substantial, has better support and overall seems to be of higher quality.

I ordered these for my mother in law who wears an AAA (slim) shoe and has inserts from her podiatrist. They fit her very well with the inserts in. She has had so much trouble finding a shoe that fits since her foot is so slim and has spent many dollars returning shoes that didn't fit. It is great that Zappos both now carries the SAS brand and of course the free shipping and returns.

So glad I got these shoes for our trip to DC! Walked around sightseeing at least 8 hours a day. So comfortable - I’m giving 5 stars all around.

I love these shoes! Great for bunions, best part i can use my own orthotics. Highly recommend these shoes! A must for comfort and if you have bunions and hammer toes. ???

I have a problem foot and could not find any shoes that I could wear. I wore SAS Free Time years ago, so thought I would give them a try. It seems to have worked.

I am so happy with the entire shoe! Great style & comfort. I have trouble finding a shoe to fit and that gives so much comfort that I am able to wear all day. SAS shoes are always made with quality materials. I love the look and denim color. I hope SAS will choose to make more shoes in different colors. It was so easy to purchase and received promptly.

I have very narrow feet so was happy when I learned these came in AAA. As it was, the right heel could have been even narrower. However, it is the best fit yet and I am very happy with them. I will be buying more shoes from this company.

Great support! Super comfort! Solidly okay style! I bought these for my Mom, who has some temporary swelling in her ankles (medication, fun!). She is usually a size 9.5 B or 9.5 C=9.5 W in Women’s depending on the shoe style. We tried several sizes since I knew the fit may be off (again, ankles). The 9.5C/9.5W was a bit snug in the toe area and in the ankle, wearing a medium thickness sock, which is sock she prefers for a sneaker/casual dress walking shoe. Best fit ended up being a 10 D=10 WW. So if you have any similar swelling I'd go up a unit of width and maybe even a half size. But's it's all close to normal sizing and a thin sock could make the difference. In this case it's hard to predict "true fit" for the general public. She says they are very comfortable and she was able to wear them for a full first day of marathon walking (no, not literal) with zero problems. No break-in period; just put them on and "go!" She's not what I would call overly thrilled with the style - it's fairly utilitarian=school uniform in Teak brown - but says she finds it acceptable when pants are long enough to cover most of the shoe (ha). Let's face it, for what this is - the design seems on point. I'll note she was out in the rain for a while and did not mention any problems with loss of traction / slipping. Some of the other colors may be trendier. We only saw three of them in person; Zappos photos look accurate. The Bronze metallic was nice but she found it too cutesy/young-leaning for a mature woman. The Black was acceptably low-key. Overall, a good buy on a high quality shoe and as usual Zappos was Total Awesomeness with quickly providing multiple sizes for fit, and the easy return of all the ones that did not work. :)

I received these shoes this morning, and tried them on right away. They felt so good. It's so difficult to find AAA width shoes so I've been wearing AA. The correct fit makes a world of difference! Going to my podiatrist tomorrow to pick up orthotics. Can't wait to be wearing these comfy, well-fitting shoes. I'm sure my back and legs will feel better with the right foundation. I gave only 3 stars for style because I'm only 81 years old and would like a more trendy style.

I've worn this same style of walking shoe by SAS ever since I badly sprained my foot in 2002. Though it healed years ago I've been a Type 1 Diabetic since 1966 and have always been obliged to take good care of my feet. I'm thrilled to have recently discovered that Zappos now carries these!

I bought these for my mother. She is 87 and has to wear a brace on her left foot. She loves these. The style is a bit more sleek and stylish than most appropriate foot wear for her. She finds them very comfortable to wear. We'll see how they stand the test of time.
