The black suede shoe can go from exercise walking to "being sociable" with pants. Although I purchased extra wide, had to buy a shoe stretcher for the toe area which was surprisingly too narrow for an extra wide shoe. Generally quite pleased!

While the shoes were stylish they were stiff. I thought over time they would crease badly. I am looking for a soft leather shoe and I will keep looking.

These are beautiful well made shoes and I had hoped to enjoy them since my husband has two pair of SAS and I always purchased SAS shoes for my mother. I found this particular pair to be very heavy and bulky for my liking. I wear Easy Spirit API shoes all the time and had hoped to make a change. Much to my disappointment, I had to return these.

I ordered this shoe because my mother and husband have always worn them and I wanted a good pair of walking shoes. When trying them on, I found them to be quite heavy and too much shoe for my liking. I wear Easy Spirit API daily and these are the perfect shoe for me. Sad but true, I must return these well made beautiful shoes. I hope to find that API offers a pair in a similar leather color. Bone is great year round and this is what I wanted. No one can oppose the fact that these SAS shoes are some of the best on the market. If I can find one that isn't so bulky and heavy, I will order them. Thanks for the great service both in ordering and returning items. There is not a better company to do business with other than Zappos. I'm so glad I found Zappos a few years ago and they are my go to place to order shoes and handbags.

very comfortable. The width could be a little more narrow. I do wear it all day and it is great for walking. Love the color also. This is my second pair of this brand of shoe and I will continue to shop for and purchase them.

I've been wearing SAS Free Time for about 10 years. My feet are now wider than when I started 10 years ago. With the new pair I bought, the shoe comes up to my ankle a bit too high and I'm always aware of a sense that there is a ring around my ankle. Since they meet my needs otherwise, I will see if I can get used to it. As always it is a very well made shoe and high quality.

Width did not feel medium - too narrow. It would have to be a wide for me in this shoe.

Have a few of this style, most purchased here on Zappos. Just to note - the denim ones are not as dark as they appear here, they are more of a chambray type blue color, but very nice with denims & khakis.

I have 3 pairs of this style (denim, navy & red); black in another style SAS don't fit as well. Looking for an SAS shoe in brown or nubuck. I like these, as the toe box is a bit deeper (8 Wide). Need a wide width and deep toe box due to broken toe, arthritic joint and bunion. I did need to break them in but it didn't take long, at first I thought they were too stiff. The back is just a bit loose but I wear them with a thin to medium sock (not a nylon). Haven't tried my orthotic as yet, as the orthotic hasn't helped me much in any shoe they fit in. The only drawback so far is the denim color - the toe area showed wear after only a couple of months, so I had to buy a "shoe renovator cream" (not a polish), and that made the shoes look like new. I will be getting a shoe polish in denim blue, however. Like that they are made in the USA.

Beautiful shoe, but runs narrow.

Clark shoes fit the best for me as I have a very narrow foot plus VERY high arch. These shoes work great as I can put my orthos in to take care of my high arch. the color is so nice and soft.

I love these shoes. I wear a KAFO and these fit perfectly.

Bought these as a gift for my spouse. She's been wearing them for years, but this is her first pair in black. She is a nurse and is on her feet all day. Not very stylish, but it's comfort and support that matters.

This was a gift purchase. The recipient has been wearing this shoe style for over 10 years. It is the only shoe she will wear. Zappos is awesome when it comes to inventory. The actual manufacturer, SAS, was out of stock and was not expecting a new shipment of this style and size until after the holidays. Zappos had this shoe to me we I think 2 days. I will always shop thru Zappos when she needs as not her pair. Thank you Zappos.

The fit was great and I liked the shoes. However, they squeak loudly on anything but carpet - really not pleasant. Sadly, had to return.

Flat bottom squeeks

Shoes hurt my feet. Mostly they came too far up onto my ankle, and I wasn't able to walk.

I've worn this shoe for ever but, as with too many things, it has changed through the years. It slips in the heel and I decided I wasn't comfortable having to 'doctor' a $200 shoe. Returning them and am very disappointed.

Too large so I got a medium width and this fit. Just too stiff of a shoe with moderate arch support. I dislike the style and they look dorky. Normally I like SAS shoes and they are good brand.

These are attractive, but Wow! the soles are squeaky. Embarrassingly so. Can't use.
