The purchase was for my Son in law Christmas present . The shows seemed well built , light weight and nice to look at . I did not know he needed extra wide and these were just a wide . When he went to return them to the NB store in town , they would not give him credit to buy another pair . I buy on line from brick and mortar stores all the time and have never had this problem . The clerk was polite and did box up the shoes and printed a label for us to return the shoes . I bought the new pair for him and now have to wait 3 weeks to get credit back for the original purchase . I will not buy on line from NB again .

First off, the the Fresh Foam Cruvz1 is just like all the New Balance shoes. Well made, true to size, comfortable to wear, stylish color choices. Unfortunately, the photos on the website don't show the heel of the shoe. Why would you take an sophisticated design with rich colors, elegant lines, great textures and put a tacky ribbon down the heel that's so out of place. White with bold black lettering, unbelievable poor taste. If the idea was to destroy any senes of sophistication, New Balance pulled it off. I was disappointed by the website's presentation and the lack of a 360' photo. That being said, I will continue to buy and wear New Balance shoes almost exclusively. But I'll be buying them at my local athletic shoe store.

I bought this because I really liked the original of the cruzv1. This are not the same. The shoe is narrower and they kind of look like elf shoes. My foot is very narrow but I still liked the rounded toe of the original. Comfortable and true to size but definitely not my favorite

I tried them on once and immediately started the return process. Overall, the shoe would have been good except the backstay/counter. It immediately wanted to roll, slip down into the heel cup at the base. If the created a spine, or slightly stiffened the backstay, I am sure I would have loved it.

My son has had these shoes for less than a month and they look like they are years old. He has worn them outside and they have gotten wet and the ink came off the cloth part so it looks all worn out. I purchased a different pair that does not have the extra cloth on them and I am happy with them.

My husband has a very wide foot. He can wear the NB men's Everyday Trainers in 4X. I wanted to try a different style for him. Unfortunately this wasn't it.

The shoe says it comes in a 2e (wide) but is not even close to fitting my foot. When I received the shoe I was impressed by its design and material but I can not wear it. I checked and the label claims it is a wide shoe. Other shoes that I own that are also 2e do not match the sole of the shoes in side by side comparison.

Ordered it a half size big as recommended and went with the wide fit as I always do with NB. The shoe was very narrow and I can't see how going up to a full size larger would make enough of a difference for me to reorder. Also, there is a thick foam strip on each side of the ankle/heel region that isn't mentioned or displayed clearly in any of the pictures that I assume is meant to help keep the shoe from slipping off but they hit right on the sides of my heel rather than the space above them so all they ended up doing was making the shoe narrower and tighter. They are great looking shoes but if you have wide feet you may want to look at a different model or at the very least try this shoe on in-store before buying it

Great looking shoe that fit well immediately. Side panels provide support not found in Allbirds or similar shoes and if you have any nagging foot or knee problems as a runner, that matters. I wore these for several days all over the place and never got past the horrific heel design and slippage. These are not suitable for return so I wasted my money trying to make them work. NB -- you need to throw these out and put a normal heel on the shoe. You over-designed these and it was a fail. Meanwhile, I am loving running in my 860's. Comfort, recovery all good and the redesigned tongue made all the difference in the shoe. Cheers!

Was looking for a basic shoe closer to a Nike free and this was not the way to go. Decent walking shoe for short distance and breathable. Definitely not waterproof

This is a good shoe, but the opening for the foot is too small.

Bought a 2E and it fits like a regular width. Nice looking shoe but not very comfortable.

I've worn a number of New Balance running shoes and a 10d always fits perfectly. A 10d in this shoe , at least for my feet, is a tight and narrow fit. The toebox is cramped, bearing on the top of my toes while the width is not better. I loved the look of the shoe so ordered a 10.5 and while the shoe is obviously longer, the narrowness and tight fit prevailed. Returned.

I loved the previous version of this shoe and was disappointed to see how different this version is. Last time I had gotten a women's 8.5 D. With this one I had to get a men's 8 2E. Hopefully will like them better when they're worn in but overall this shoe is not an improvement for me

I have bought multiple Fresh Foam products in the past and enjoyed them, a good and comfortable fit. These shoes in the same size are too big, have to wear quite thick socks and tie laces tight to walk in them. The website said to order a half size up, glad I did not do that.

Pros: Foam soles are very comfortable Materials feel premium Cons: Very weird foam/gel protrusions around the ankle. I know that's supposed to "lock" your heel in place but its incredibly annoying. So much so that I returned them. Great shoe ruined by strange foam placement.

Sizing not consistent. 2E is much more narrow, constricting and not as comfortable. I love these shoes and wish there was consistency in the style.

These used to be my favorite shoes ever. The reissue is very upsetting for two reasons. 1. The shoes feel smaller than the original version. I do not have enough space for my toes because the top is lower than they used to be. Ive been wearing these for a week hoping to break them in but every time I put them on they still feel too small. 2. The quality has dropped. It is obvious that the material is not the same and I have a feeling these will be more like the v2 which ripped within 4 months as opposed to the original v1, which lasted me a year and a half of every day use. I still love the look of these, but the leather aspects are also cheaper quality than the original shoe was and actually look kind of plasticy. I really wish NB would just issue the original Cruz v1 without branding it as a "reissue" and slightly changing them to make their logo more visible. They were such perfect, amazing, comfortable shoes that I could use for anything except business. These are slightly more sneakerish and frankly, not as good.

The fit and feel of this shoe was amazing, however, the lack of support around the heel made the shoe shift around when I would step. This made the motion as I walked a little uncomfortable. I had to send the shoe back, unfortunately.

I love NB, but these were a STRANGE fit. I normally wear a 6, and bought a 6.5 due to the tighter fitting knit style. I needed to go to a 7, that's how tight it was to get my foot in. On top of that, on the inside of the heel there is this very weird padded lip, I'm assuming to grip your back heel but wow was it odd feeling for me. Back they go.

I really liked the color and way these shoes looked but the heel fit was too low and tight The v2 style had a much better heel design but still felt small I would say that both these styles run smaller

These shoes had a defect - one side of one shoe was sewn a little crooked - not so much that it looks or feels awful, but I definitely noticed it and wonder how it will effect how the shoes wear over time. Zappos awesome customer service had a new pair shipped next day, but unfortunately the next pair had the same issue so I assume it was a bad batch. I ultimately kept them because I needed them for a trip and didn't have time to return again or find something else. Bummer to have to keep defective shoes but I do appreciated Zappos great customer service. My advice to others is to check your pair to make sure they are sewn straight before wearing them!
