I love these sneakers! I tried on at least half a dozen and finally found these. I should have started out with Ecco to begin with. I bought a cute pair of ballerina's from Ecco a few weeks back and I love them. I chose the Marine color and it’s a beautiful gunmetal gray. They go with everything. I’m tired of black. They'll get a workout on our trip to Paris and Normandy later in the summer.

Very pleased with these so far. They appear (and feel) to be excellent quality. I usually wear a 9-9.5, or a 40 in Ecco, but I do have one pair of Ecco sneakers (a toggle style) in a 39 that fit fine. On the advice of MANY other reviewers, I first tried these in a 41, but found those to be huge. The 40 works for me. This is only my third time wearing them, but I've worn them for a couple of full days with a mix of standing and walking, and found them to be very comfortable. There's support under the arch and toes - doesn't feel orthopedic, but it's there. My feet did get a bit hot by day's end (I wore them without socks on a warm day), but didn't chafe or smell. I also tried a couple of other Ecco styles: The Chase II tie (cute, but I prefer the cleaner appearance of the Soft), and the Soft zip in grey. Loved the look of those, and would have kept them as well, but they feel a bit bigger and less supportive for my narrow feet so I returned them. These are keepers, though, and I might even get another color. Thanks to Zappos for making my shoe habit so easy to indulge! :-)

Well, I followed the suggestion of many reviewers to size up in this shoe, which was found to run short and narrow. Not for me! I usually wear a 9 -9.5 (40 in ECCO) and the 41 is enormous on me. I ordered the Aspina Low and Soft 7 Zip in size 40, which seems the better size for me, at least in these styles (the Zip is even roomy, but comfortable). When I saw the Chase II, I preferred it to the Soft, so ordered it to compare to the Soft. 41 was the only size available, and I suspect it will be huge as well, so will probably end up with the Soft in size 40. The quality and style of ECCO is excellent, and I believe if they fit, the comfort is high as well, but couldn't give this 5 stars since they don't fit. As always, Zappos is the best - unbelievably quick response time, couldn't be easier! They make it a breeze to do this kind of comparison shopping from the comfort of one's home.

A perfect sneaker. Not big & bulky. This does Not have a seam running across the front, which is great !! Because that seam always bothers me. Extremely comfortable right out of the box, no need to break in & good arch support. But I don’t think these would work on a wide foot.

I have had these about a year now, and they have been my go-to weekend shoes. "Warm Grey Cow Nubuck" is not nubuck; I got the shoe pictured (smooth leather), which is what I preferred anyway. The color is great --- a warm greenish gray that goes with jeans, khakis, or olive pants, which pretty much covers my casual wardrobe. Size 41 worked for my feet (Slightly narrow, 9.5 in non-athletic flats). I highly recommend these shoes.

I bought these right before a trip to Italy where there was lots of walking. They arrived the day before I left, so no time to break them in. Luckily, they didn't need it! Very comfortable and more stylish than running shoes.

My big toe and next to big toe on both feet were both pressed on by the shoes. Length was good, width was good, but the toe was not high enough. Returning the shoes.

This is the shoe I’ve been looking for my entire life. That may be a slight exaggeration but not by much. My foot is very wide across the top requiring a roomy toe box but my heel is narrow comparatively speaking. Basically my feet are shaped like duck feet and these are the cutest lace up athleisure shoes I could find that A- didn’t squeeze my pinky toe, B- didn’t slip off my heel, and C- don’t look like they belong to my grandma (sorry, Grandma). I love them so much I’m about to buy another pair or two so that I’ll be squared away when they eventually discontinue or somehow modify this shoe

I really wanted to like this shoe, but unfortunately it was too tight across my foot. Even loosening the laces didn't help. I wanted them for a European trip this summer - they would have worked great except for them being too narrow.

Nice shoe but runs very small. The color is a rich smoky blue. I am a size 10 Medium and I should've tried a 42. Returning but might come back to it in the future.

I love the look of the shoe but I am always an 11N and this was short. Ordered the next size up and waiting to get it so I can try them!

I ordered the Soft VII version first because it's been my experience that whatever it is, I always end up with whatever is most expensive so I figured I'd save myself some time and just start where I typically end up. Joke on me -- I returned the $149 pair and ordered these and like them much better -- the fit is better and I am pretty much a typical 9 at this point, with a slightly narrower heel. The inside in the back is a little rough so I can't wear these without socks, which is disappointing, but I am a huge fan of the way they are designed to allow for the removal of the "first" innersole to allow room for an orthotic. When you do that with most shoes, it means there is no cushioning at all at the toe box but not these. I am an enthusiastic fan of Ecco craftsmanship (and also have 3 pair of Ecco golf shoes and 2 pair of Ecco boots). I wore the white ones all summer and took them on three trips and am now ordering the black ones.

Love ECCO shoes, but turns out Soft 7 (newer version of this sneaker) is much more comfortable on me. These are long enough (like a 7.5 would fit me) but less roomy in front of foot and heel than the Soft 7 so hurt after just a couple of minutes on my feet.

Though a tad big on my foot, they do run true to size — I wear a 7 (generally) and a 38 is equivalent to a 7/7.5 so rightly so they would fit me just a smidgen big. They are very cute/fashionable and well made but the arch is a bit misplaced for my foot so they are not quite as comfortable as I would imagine they are for some others. They shoes themselves are great, it’s my feet that have some issues. It’s like when you break up with someone and tell them, “it’s not you, it’s me,” well same here, “it’s not the shoes, it’s my feet.” ;) Still think I will be keeping them though, as I believe they will be comfortable enough on me to do some extensive walking. Hoping to take them on a trip to Europe next month as fashionable and comfort together in shoes can be hard to come by!

I love these shoes, cute and go with everything. The only downside is they are very flat and there is no arch support. I wore them out for Saturday errands and by the end my feet hurt. I wanted them as an option to wearing tennis shoes but not really right for that. I do love them and would buy them again.

Reviews of this shoe saying that it ran narrow encouraged me to try it as I liked the basic sneaker style. I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2 Narrow and I ordered this in a 39. The length was good-plenty of room and the toe box has adequate depth. The heel was narrow and snug as others suggested. For me, the problem was at the ball of the foot where the shoe was too wide. I tightened the laces as best I could but it was still too wide. When the laces were tightened the tongue gaped so that told me it wasn't going to work. For the good stuff, the shoe is nice quality--typical for Ecco. Good leathers and nicely sewn. The arch support was good--a little more cushioning in the front might have helped. The color I ordered was called a gray but in reality more of a taupe as it shows on my computer screen. It is a good neutral however. Thanks to Zappos for an easy return.

This shoe has no arch support which I thought might work since I use orthotics but it did not provide the fit and support needed.

Wonderful shoe: great styling, quality leather, well-padded insole with moderate arch support. Can comfortably accomodate an orthotic addition. However, runs a little narrower than some of the other ECCo sneaker styles this year. Wish their shoes came in a wide width.

I bought the all black version, and overall I like the look, though I hate visible logos and wish the little tag could come off without causing more unsightliness than it's worth. These are very comfortable walking shoes and go with almost anything, so they are a great everyday choice, and I plan to use them a lot for traveling. They provide good support and are not too narrow for my wide foot. I bought my usual 8.5 size and think it is just right. At first it felt too tight, but I simply loosened the laces and now they feel right. That's a significant advantage of lace-up shoes -- you can tighten or loosen the fit to some degree with the laces. Plus, I expect that with time the leather will shape itself to my foot shape anyway.

I have these sneakers in another color and the width felt slightly wider, which made a big difference in comfort for me. I returned this pair for that reason. However, apart from that, there's plenty of room for an orthotic insert, if needed. Very attractive shoes.

I get compliments when I wear this shoe which surprised me because it is not a fancy shoe but it does look good on. Very comfortable and good arch support.
