My 4 year old really wanted these because they are the same style as a friend of hers, but she put them on and quickly dismissed them. She said they hurt the top of her foot and felt too small, but she doesn’t have a wide foot and the shoe size should’ve been a little big to grow into. I guess we will go back to her usual brand (Nike).

We've tried so many good/top brands of kids shoes and these tend to hold up the best and are the most versatile in use. The straps are very easy for young children to use and they are easy to get on/off. They hold up well through washes, but they do lose their luster after a month of daily wear, even after washes, but most shoes do. However, the velcro and stitching typically stay in good shape, whereas most other competitors do not. I wish these came in more styles and colors (particularly the brighter colors considered to be "girl colors") because we've now had every color available. At the opinionated age of 5, my daughter is getting more discerning and doesn't want what she has had before.

They fit my 19 month old granddaughter perfectly. She’s not toe tripping in them, toe doesn’t catch when she brings her foot forward. They are not stiff, they’re flexible under the ball of her feet, they give her heel support. Well made and fun in color design

We just got these and they seem well made. The colors are brighter in person and the toe box is definitely on the wider side. We ordered these along with a pair of Nike Free Runs. These seemed very stiff compared to the Nikes and ran a tad shorter in length. Nevertheless, my daughter chose these bc she loved the magenta color. Hopefully they will become less stiff over time.

We really wanted to like these shoes, they were just too narrow in the forefoot. Loved the flexibility and style. Could do without the small heel lift (approx 1/4 inch) that the insole adds.

Cute shoe for school and easy to put on. However, you should know that the straps don't adjust like other shoes. They just velcro over to the other side without tightening the shoe. Happy with the purchase overall since she can still run and jump without problems.

These are really cute and I love this brand for my son (who has a wide foot). They just don't work for my narrow footed girl. Bummer.

I have been trying Plae shoes for both of my daughters for a year or so. I have concluded that these work really well for a kiddo with normal instep as opposed to a high/tall instep. Even with longer tabs, my older daughter did not have enough room in the area where her toes bend. My youngest daughter has some luck with these as they are "just" roomy enough with her instep to allow use of the regular tabs and no impressions are seen on her feet. They do seem a tad narrow, especially in the heel. I wish they made a "wide" shoe. That being said, my dd loves the sparkles and that she can take these on and off herself. When I have washed these shoes in the past, the shoe turns out great (air dry)but the fabric separates from the inner footbed. Coincidentally, GoPlae sells new inserts on their website. I like that these are a "barefoot" style shoe, without a lot of super-squishy cushioning that allows little feet and toes to grip their environment and experience natural growth patterns, however, I do find the footbed is a little stiffer than I like and the babe "slaps" the floor with her feet when she wears them. Always in pursuit of the perfect shoe.

Loved these shoes! So flexible and comfy, my child loves them. BUT the rubber at the front of the shoe cracked and the broke after only a couple of months. She probably wore them about three times a week. I was hoping they'd last a little longer but overall I suppose was a good shoe.

Quality is great and pretty. I like the rubber in front of shoe. So far, my daughter has not complained of discomfort. My daughter is about a size nine, but I purchased a size ten. They are roomy because they are a little big on her. She'll have for a little while.

My daughter has two pair of these Plae. They have held up pretty well through the riggers of an active 4-year-old. I love that I can throw them in the washer with no problems. I'm ordering another pair as she has outgrown them, plus we've had the addition of an orthotic in hopes of correcting her flat feet. I'm hoping these shoes will work with the orthotic.

I love how these shoes look, and the colors, and the fact that my daughter can put them on by herself without any problem. BUT, and this is the reason I returned them, it is not easy to keep them snug, so I feel kids can trip easily since the shoes are too loose on the feet. Safety always comes first. And if you do decide to get them, make sure your child has cute chubby wide feet.

These shoes fit true to size, however they started irritating my daughter’s ankle after months of wear. Shoes held up well, but overall would probably look for another brand for the price since they bothered her ankle.

These are cute sneakers, but they definitely run wide. Also, after a short period of time the ends of the velcro strips curl up so it doesn't look so great.

These shoes are very cute but after a month of moderate wear my daughter started to complain that they are uncomfortable. Sure enough, the footbed was ruined. Had come completely detached and was rolling up. Terrible quality at any price.

Sneakers were too tight. Would like to order a half size up, 7.5

My 4 year old refused to wear these and even cried saying that they hurt her feet and were uncomfortable around the back part of her ankle (near achilles). It is not very padded back there which I think contributed to the lack of comfort. I'm sad because they are so cute but were not comfortable for her to wear.

These shoes are really cute and my daughter (age 5, size 12.5) says they are comfortable. They have not been as durable as I'd hoped. She has been wearing them for 5 weeks daily (to school and after school- she does run around outside in them a lot). One of the velcro tabs broke within a month (the company sent us a free replacement pair), and now there is a hole in the pink suede-like material near the toe. I have washed them once in the washing machine when they were really muddy (but that was after both the hole and the broken velcro). I really want to like them, but I'm going to have a hard time spending so much on another pair. I do have a 2 yo who has had these same shoes in navy for several months, and his have held up much better than his sister's- the only wear they have is some fraying on the tabs. The material does seem more durable and not as "fuzzy" as the fuchsia.

These gave my toddler a bleeding blister on the outer edge of where her pinky toe meets her foot (with socks on!). I can feel inside of the shoe with my finger that there is a sharp seem there. They also are very loud when she runs and don't have enough cushion. They are cute looking- but a waste of money since I don't want her to wear them anymore and she only wore them once.
