I love how spacious my new backpack is! As a student I needed something that was able to carry everything I'd need for the day and yet still be comfortable this backpack covers both! The lifetime warrenty and the quality made the purchase worth the price!

This bag looks nice but I'm 5 feet tall and found that it was too large on me. I suppose I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. I thought there were an unnecessary amount of felt lined pockets, but I like that there were a lot of pockets in general.

The moment I put it on the Surge Transit Backpack' The North Face, I knew I had to have it! On top of that the tag reads ENDORSED by AMERICAN CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION ( ACA). No wonder why it felt so good on my back! I'm a female although purchased the men's backpack because the color was not available! Best purchase ever! Expensive YES! It was worth it! Save your time and get it from the The North Face! This is my first backpack from The North Face.

I use this bag for my Internship where I carry a 17 inch laptop and my Lunch boxes and my Electronics. I used Nike backpack before but it used to get a lott heavier when i used to put my laptop in. This bag handles everything and not really heavy at all. And also my Nike broke in 1 year but with Lifetime warranty with this one I Would definitely recommend the product.

I will be using the book bag on an international trip that I am taking next month in addition to using it for college. I will be hiking a lot on my trip and I am very excited to use it, because it has SO much room and so many pockets to store stuff in!

This is an excellent product, well designed and roomy. This pack is much bigger than I expected, has strong support and storage for computer and other items that can be bulky like books.

As usual The North Face does not disappoint on this backpack I was looking for something that could hold a fair amount of things but still be used as a day pack if needed and this is perfect and comfortable. I'm very happy with this purchase.

As a high school student, I need to carry around many books and gym clothes, along with a laptop and some other gadgets. This backpack is perfect for storing and carrying around everything I need throughout the day. My only complaint with this backpack is that it is very tall, and there is usually a lot of clearance between the top of the bag and my books/folders.

First I bought a different bag but it was way too small for I said"I'll pay the extra $50" I'm a nursing student and I carry a lot of text book so I need something with a lot of space and cushion. So I got this bag and it's perfect tbh!!!

I commute by train everyday and it is a very reasonable size for the seats along with carrying around. Great for both business and everyday use.

I use it everyday for all my daily things. I have a lot of gadgets that I need for class and I need lots of space to keep all my books and clothes so that I can go to the gym. This bag helps me keep everything and makes sure it's not heavy on my back.

This is a great backpack for traveling. I use it as my carry-on for flights as well as for day trips. It can hold a ton of stuff, and is versatile depending on what I need it for. Books, laptop, electronics, a set of clothes you name it. It is comfortable to wear, and looks nice too. I wish I had bought one when I was a student, it would have been great for that too.

A very well made backpack with many compartments and separate zipper for the laptop. North face backpacks are pricey but durability makes them worth in the long run! My wife has one in a different color and she is totally happy with it too!

Extremely spacious and it doesn't look too big on me (5"5' skinny guy). It's very comfortable and evenly distributes the weight to make it feel lighter and comfortable. It's easy to organize things inside and some pockets have felt that insulate it. The zippers are very sturdy and due to that, the laptop compartment is very safe, it won't fall open and fall if you unzip it normally to get your laptop. It's an excellent bag for college, very durable, and water resistant. I could bring this bag anywhere and it'll do an amazing job for almost every occasion.

So I used to have a Borealis which lost an argument with my puppy. Parts of it were hanging by a thread so I decided to sit until it completely fell apart to buy a new backpack. Two years later, here we are. About 6 months into that two years I knew I was going to buy another North Face backpack. Anything that can stand up to a pit bull puppy goes right to the top in my list. About the new bag. Like my review says, I love it. The size and color (black with red accents) are what really drew me to it. I mainly use it for work and have my work computer, a small binder and several other files fit into the back section. I've even thrown in my own computer in that section with plenty of room. The bag gets a little heavy, though. Then there's the front section with all the little pockets and holder for a tablet. No complaints except there are almost too many pockets. I forget where I put stuff and have to search for it. Not the bag's issue, clearly. All that and there's still another section in the middle. I mostly keep it empty but occasionally I throw in some workout clothes and gym shoes for after work. The back and shoulder straps are very sturdy and I feel the back of the bag is a vast improvement over my Borealis. There is more moulding and more air vents, which has been great to keep from getting overheated. It's still winter here, though, so we'll see how it holds up in the summer. The only drawback complaint I might have is the zippers on the bag. The zippers on the Borealis had fairly large teeth and there was a flap of fabric that folded over. On this bag only the middle compartment is made that way. And it's the only one I don't have problems with sticking when I try to zip it up. It's not a huge problem, but you can't just mindlessly zip them up and go. You actually have to think a little about it or they get stuck. And they are the two compartments I mainly use. Oh well, can't have everything I guess.
