I bought this because I wanted a smaller bag to carry my iPad mini and some sketching supplies. This is a well made, really nice looking bag and I am happy with it. I will probably be getting a larger one that I will custom design.

Love everything about this bag so far. I do wish there was a little outside pocket but other than that, it's perfect for school. Very comfortable on my shoulder. My husband even had to buy one after seeing mine!

I bought the xs classic messenger bag and it's been so convenient I just purchased the small for days I need to carry more stuff. The bag is beautiful, functional, ruggedly built and very stable with the added strap. I love this bag! It's been well thought out organizationally and the color choices are great. I also love how seamlessly I can go from bike to office without any questioning looks from co-workers... Is a very nice looking bag. This is a great investment that looks like it will hold up for years and will be worth patching someday if it ever needs it.

I love the variety of Timbuk2 products. In the process of organizing my life I usually think of putting together things in a new bag. I got this one for work. I do a lot of house calls selling products for the backyard. I need to be able to grab a bag and go to the customer's house. Tape measures, tape, drawing tools, presentation tools and pricing tools.

I have had and used it for about 4 years now as a either a compliment to my roller bag (checked or carry-on) or when I am also carrying a heavy camera back pack. In both cases I use it for 15" MacBook Pro, 9-inch iPad, assorted cables, back up drives, sweater, notebooks, small umbrella, etc etc. When I am not traveling with a full camera kit (two bodies,3-5 lenses, filter case, etc) , I will use a regular day pack that I have outfitted for one camera body and some lenses in individual padded case. Then when I am out and about, the Timbuk2 gets left in hotel room or car and I just carry to daypack. But it is for loner trips when I carry the full camera kit that I wish the bag had backpack straps. Why? because for carry on you are limited to at most two bags. So one will be loaded camera pack, the other th Timbuk2 shoulder bag. But often for a stroll around a city or a day hike I often don't need the full camera kit and the camera pack is too big and heavy to carry around. Especially in an urban environment. So then I would wrap up one body and put it into Timbuk2 bag with a couple of lenses, and miscellanies. BUT - my problem is a not so good back. Oddly, while I can easily carry a fully loaded backpack, even a light bag slung over one shoulder (or cross body) is enough of an unbalanced strain on my back that it becomes quite uncocmfortable after awhile even with often switching shoulders. So that is why I would LOVE to have tuck away backpack straps on the bag. As a possible solution I have just ordered but not tried yet the Patagonia Tres Pack 25L. Pretty much same specs as the Timbuk2 bag BUT with addition of backpack straps. So we'll see how that goes. With just this one proviso the T bag is GREAT. Especially the organizational abilities and the terrific shoulder strap.

Just got a classic messenger bag in size small. It fits all my books for school and also fits all my tech gadgets. I'm very impressed by how sturdy this bag is. The strap adjustment works great and it's comfy. Pockets and organization are well designed and functional. Also , the zippers are high quality. A++ for me. Couldn't be happier

I am going to be using this bag every day for the next to years as a missionary in Trinidad where it is hot and humid all the time. The bag looks like it will hold great and has plenty of room. Great product and the company will work with you for what you want.

This is my first messenger bag, and I love it more than enough space for everything I need: a laptop, textbooks, notebooks, water bottle, and room for my bulky headphones as well.

So the back pack I used to use for work was falling apart after 3 years of use, before I stop using it zippers broke just basically wear and tear took its tole, thus started me shopping for a new work bag. After a week of window shopping on line for a potential replacement, I come across the Tim Buk 2 website, its everything I could want in a work bag, I can fit my labtop, chef coat, chef apron in the medium size messager bag. Thx

There's nothing to compare to the workhorse messenger bag. Everything is in place and it is light weight. Just one thing.......why no outside back pocket?

Originally, I bought the bag for myself. Bit with Mother's Day approaching, I decided it would be a better fit for the wife. As a commuter, she carries her laptop, lunch bag & purse. I thought it would be too small. They all fit in great and she is happy to only need to carry one bag from car to train to walk to work and back again! Thank you Timbuk2

At my condo trash collection area someone discarded a new unused Timbuk2 Messenger bag. I have used it ever since. It is comfortable to carry with a heavy laptop and great for a one day trip. Fits under the seat on a plane. I would have paid for one if I didn't find one!

I bike errands and to work frequently. I do have several panniers in varying sizes but was looking for something smaller and less obtrusive when my destination requires less packing as well as not looking like I just biked across town. I had a handlebar purse but it was just too small. The XS bag is a perfect step down in size from my panniers, it's comfortable and the cordura feels very durable and will likely handle being patched very nicely years from now with wear and tear. Cordura is tough and easy care, they make western saddles from it. The pattern selection is fantastic! I went with 'Terrain', it has a number of convenient pockets to stow items instead of digging around in the bottom, the shoulder strap adjusts very quickly and feels secure. I also love the strap length options (5' 6" female), I can shorten it all the way to keep it tight, then lift up and it drops to comfortable waist length for off-bike use. I do wish the XS came with a stabilizer strap or at least rings for it, but having never used a messenger bag before, perhaps the small size negates that need? If I find I need it I will either attach a small D ring to the corner to accommodate one or have my husband make me one that will loop around one of the flap buckles for similar effect. I'm excited to get used to using it, and if it goes well I may buy a S or M size to finish off my packing options.

This is my second Timbuk2 bag. I will never buy another bag!!!!!!!! My first purchase was like 6 years ago and the thing is still brand new. I have purchased bags in the past and they are busted within a month. You guys make a quality product and stand by it. Whenever I see someone else with a Timbuk2 bag I stop them and comment on how much I love mine...creepy way to meet people. Thank you!!!!
