Best bag ever. Finally a bag that works with my oversized laptop for work.

I love the bad it's a great size, It seems like a small bag but it's not. It fits a lot of stuff. I like that it has multiple pockets. I do wish the strap was a little bit longer but still love it.

I use this bag for work in media production environments and classrooms. The bag holds up very well and is water resistant. I look forward to using it while traveling since classic leather bags normally get scuffed up by such activities.

This is going to be used as a purse although I have others that I use for different purposes.

This is my first Timbuk2 and I love it. The canvas is thick and feels like it will take a beating. Very comfortable to carry.

It's really larger than I expected m very happy for what I get

Exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this to replace a generic messenger bag that was falling apart. I thought I would opt for the large to carry my 15" MBP, 12.9" iPad Pro and at least one sketchbook. I still have plent of room left over.

Bought the medium sized one and love it, best messenger bag I've ever had. Gives the size and utility of a backpack but much less clunky. Its hard to tell what the size is from the pictures, so measure it out if that matters a lot (I guessed the medium and got lucky)

I use this product for work and school. Great bag to put things in and go!

This is my 3rd Timbuk2 messenger, I have all 3 sizes (S, M, L) and each serves a certain purpose. So this is used for school, so I can fit my notebook, textbook, Surface, a sweatshirt, and a water bottle with some more space to spare in the main compartment, along with my pens, pencils, calculator, and etc in the organizer pockets. The other pockets are a great fit for my personal items. The shoulder strap along with the shoulder pad makes my bag feel light weighted. The Cordura material makes this bag very durable and water resistant. I'm hoping to soon purchase a Timbuk2 tote to complete my collection.

I have a small classic bag that I've used for over 20 years and, short of being a bit dingy, it's in incredible shape. I bought this one because I needed something slightly larger mainly for travel. It's excellent as an overnight bag, an extra bag, or to pack extra carry on items. I love to color scheme. It's bright and cheery, and easy to identify if misplaced. The small compartments are simple and don't get in the way. I can't say enough good things about this bag. I expect to have it for the next 20 years and more!

I looovveee this bag. I originally got it because i'm leaving for Peace Corps in a few months and needed a good secure everyday bag. And plus they were having GREAT Black Friday deals so It was either now or never. I use it everyday for work right now. I love the compartments inside. When it rains, the water just rolls off the bag. I got the "terrain" color way and the green is so subtle. It's just as beautiful (if not better) in person. I got the Medium size and it was exactly what I expected/needed. I cannot say enough good things about this bag.

This is my new work bag. I have a small walk from the parking lot to my office and my shoulder tote bags don't cut it anymore. Messenger bags all the way so I can carry more if I need to! This bag is sturdy, stylish, and bigger than I thought (medium). Love all of the zippered pockets and the handle the back if I need to grab it and go quickly. I have literally wanted a Timbuk2 bag for 20 years. Don't know why I waited so long.

I purchased the medium and it is the perfect size for me and for my everyday needs to and from work. I am grateful for the different compartments. That was very important to me. I like the new look of this Classic Messenger bag. Moving the water bottle holder inside gives the bag a clean and better look design wise.

Picked this bag up off the back of all the great reviews and am not disappointed. I have been looking for a bag which could be my EDC and carry the essentials and can also handle some clothes for a overnight business trip. The Medium bag fits the bill perfectly and there is still room to spare.

Little bit expensive but the style is there

I bought the extra small messenger bag. It has excellent storage and many hidden pockets. It is also made very well and the strap is very comfortable. I just wish it came in more feminine colors. I would buy many more if it did!

I've had a small classic messenger bag since high school. It was my book bag then. I'm 38 and it's still in near perfect shape. I've used it for everything from the gym to travel to beach. It has taken many beatings over the years. Lightweight, waterproof, fits way more than it looks like it can fit, easy to clean, and incredibly versatile. In my opinion these are the best multipurpose bags ever created. I'm about to buy a medium as a travel bag. I expect to grow old with it.

I have only used it locally with my electronics, notebooks and books. My other use is for light travel bag. I have packed for a 3 day trip and it works perfectly.

This is my second Timbuk2 bag. Simple and functional. Great deal.

I've had this bag for about 4 or 5 years now and it's probably the best bag purchase I've ever made. I use it no joke every single day and it really takes a beating. Biking through the rain, hiking mountains. It's been to argentina and over the Andes mountain range. Finally after years of use one of the plastic clips became fatigued and broke. I emailed the company about purchasing a replacement and what does timbuk2 do? Sent me a free one. You guys rock - keep doing what your doing.

I just received the classic messenger bag in the mail and love this thing. It actually makes my day a little better as soon as I sling this sleek, perfectly proportioned, stylish messenger bag over my shoulder. My favorite feature is the wide strap pad that extends about 1/3 of the strap, meaning it isn't constantly falling forward or backward, out of position. Silly to love a simple feature so much? Doesn't matter, it is awesome. I purchased the small size bag and it is perfect for a 13" laptop while leaving plenty of space for other items in the main compartment. I also like having access to the small zippered pocket while the flap is still fastened. Only potential improvement I would suggest is providing two extra strips of velcro to "disable" the velcro hooks if wanted. I don't necessarily want the flap velcro to secure each time my bag is closed, but it is something you can't control. I just worry about the velcro wearing down over time, but that may be an imaginary fear. I guess we'll see!

Send me the review link again in 3-6 months. This said, I can say it's a quality made bag, Neoprene or whatever the water resistant interior flap material is was great choice. The ample use of Velcro on the flap is important as my previous bag I wore out the little Velcro strips and it became useless. The pockets on underside of flap and interior are just enough. The strap is also spot on, easy to adjust and it's wide with a comfortable sliding padded cushion, this is an important feature because it's what is always used and needs easy adjusting on the fly. I would not have purchased the bag if it wasn't for the strap in the top of the bag, it's a must for grabbing off chairs or car seat, hoping however it holds up, seems like it's only fastened by 1 row of stitches. But for the money, it exceeds expectations, a value purchase. The only addition I'd have loved is a pocket on the exterior (other side of the flap with either a zipper or even open so I can throw files or misc in on the fly without opening flap, but perhaps this would disqualify it as a messenger?
