I think this is my 6th messenger bag from Timbuk2. I love them. I love the organization, the water resistance, the cross body style. I started a new job and rewarded myself with a new bag. I looked at a whole bunch of options from a whole bunch of companies and came back to Timbuk2 because that's what I love. I work in the emergency department and needed something that could keep me organized but also stand up to the abuse and look good doing it. Highly recommend

My first Timbuk2 messenger bag was an XS and I decided to get a S because I needed a little more room for everything I take to work. I am absolutely in love with it, I like having everything organized in my bag and all the pockets are so perfect. There is only one thing that is just a bit annoying to me, I recently bought the Timbuk2 insulated bottle water((In love with it)) and it fits perfectly in the water bottle pocket but it doesn't close all the way, but I just use that pocket for other things now, other than that I LOVE MY BAG. I have so many Timbuk2 products now.

I've owned Timbuk2 products since the 90s - two messenger bags and a backpack. I had been eyeing the small classic messenger after I retired in 2018 as my daily carry, and the sale came along and I pulled the trigger. Boy, I'm really happy I did - the small classic messenger meets my EDC needs since I don't have to carry much office paperwork and accessories like I did when I was working (the older bags really served me well back then!). A MacBook, a water bottle, a tech pouch, and a journal are my daily needs nowadays, and the classic messenger is perfect! Lighter, more agile and with better organization, the classic messenger is an upgraded, updated version of its former self, and I think the only suggestion I can offer for further evolution might be magnets instead of Velcro so that it's a little quieter upon opening the bag. Great stuff, at a great price!

Got the XS for just everyday small bag and S for work stuff (I need to carry a lot of things).
I'm 163-165cm female, XS is a lovely size to carry around! Would be good for hiking or travelling too.
Lots of pockets, good build.
XS is also good for carrying Nintendo Switch with a hard pouch and accessories.
If the internal pockets can have more depth (rather than shallow pockets) it will work better for me because for S bag I would be carrying thicker things like bottles and battery packets.
Thanks and well done!

I'm biased as I love Timbuk2 stuff, but the moment I saw this online I think I drooled a little :-)
I got the jet black version in size small. It's just the perfect size to carry around and lots of pockets and compartments in which to keep stuff. It looks fantastic and like it will last for years. Thank you for the fast delivery!

So this is my 2nd size SMALL msngr bag. I also have a medium and an XS. The medium works well for me on days when I have 4 classes and have a lot of books and binders to carry around. The XS works like a purse for me, and is great to sling over my shoulder for day trips to museums, parks, etc. It holds the essentials and I can carry my ipad and Kindle too. The small I now own in grey and in "hazard" - I bought this one in hazard because I love the color combo - and I won't lose the bag, haha. The small works great as the bag I bring to work with me, or to class if I only need a smaller textbook or notebook and either my Chromebook or my Ipad. Going to work I can easily stuff a spare set of scrubs, lunch, and a coffee carafe, as well as my pen case, my umbrella, my wallet, my calendar and my Kindle. I like to leave the strap long and sling it crossbody. I also own a Timbuk2 totebag that I've used for 25 years. Only Timbuk2 bag that had to be retired was a smaller shoulder tote that I spilled a container of chili in one day (yes, I cried that day). The only problem I have with Timbuk2 is that my husband thinks we have too many bags (oh, we have Timbuk2 panniers for our bicycles too!). I love the zipper pocket under the flap that is easy access, and the compartments in the inside front. The only change I would make is to make the water bottle holder wider/stretchier -- or just add two to the exterior of the bag, one at each end.

I have had Timbuk2 messenger bags and have always loved them. I recently retired and bike a lot more but don't have to take everything and the kitchen sink with me any more. My new size is large enough but not too large and fits like a glove for my extended rides.

I've just recently achieved a decades long goal of biking to work. I needed a bag I could carry comfortably to transport lunch, laptop etc for 10 miles round trip daily. This bag (large) works great!

I used a similar but now failing messenger bag when I travel to Europe because a back pack is less convenient in public transportation as a messenger bag. That means that I do not use this bag right now daily except when I prance around the house with it because I like it already very much. Great shoulder strap, easily adjustable, nice partition for my tablet, not too many extra pockets but enough to stay organized and get to items with one targeted grip, also some with zippers for securing the content. I like the colors, the material seems sturdy without being too bulky, I partially covered up the closure for the flap velcro because this attacked too securely the flap and latched on to unwanted targets as well. The flap has a nice fold to it so rain stays out of the bag (I have not tested this yet, but it sure looks like it). I like that the inside is gray not black as I can find items easier in the lighter colored lining. I like the bag so far very much! I am glad that I bought it and I shall use it on my next trip happily.

This thing is everything I need it to be. It's bigger than I expected and holds all my work things, lunch, water bottle, with extra room. I wish there were one outside pocket for easy access to wallet etc. you can't take anything out without undoing the clips which is kind of annoying. But when you compare the price to other messenger bags of similar quality it's a dang good deal.

This classic messenger fits perfectly in my daily routine. As a veteran photojournalist I like to travel and move about with a minimal amount of gear and having this beauty slung around my body is the perfect answer to keeping all of my personal items in one place. A phone, wallet, keys some extra film and even a slim point and shoot film camera fits safely in this number. When your hands are full when you are working...it's just what I needed.

I first heard of Timbuk2 when I was in college, back in the early 2000s. Everyone had them and I just figured it was the latest thing being hyped up. Recently came across them again after an exhaustive search for a work bag and I am a big fan. Believe the hype! Bought the small and it is the perfect size for me. I work at a hospital and during these COVID times it was important to have something I could easily wipe down. Fits my stethoscope, ID, masks, work reading materials. Very happy with this purchase!

I bike commute to work, and this bag fits in the locker. Great colors. Motorists in my county treat bicyclists like 3rd class citizens, so bright colors help.
