Have a Dee Dog from the early 90s. Still going strong. Not as fancy as the newer ones (no compartments) but super functional. Bought a purse (shoulder bag) in 2011 that I have carried every day for the last 10 years and it's still perfect. Timbuk 2 is one of the most reliable brands I've encountered. I may need to upgrade to something I can carry my laptop in.

I initially bought my first and only TIMBUK2 in ny city, and it is beyond incredible. I've been wearing and carrying it for 18 months, I'd carried it for traveling a lot of cities, and I really love it. The best choice you will make is to buy this smokey bag.

I would totally recommend this if you traveling overseas, heavy-duty bag, i fit my 17in alienware laptop and my ipad pro with no problem. I travel to Rio all the time from texas with no problems

Hello from Quezon City, Philippines. I ordered my Classic Messenger bag online and had it delivered to my sister who lives in California. I received it this morning and the bag does not disappoint. It is well crafted. This is going to be my everyday "go to" bag.

I was given a medium messenger bag by on of my sons. I promptly began using it 4-5 days/week for my work commute. Large enough for clothes and sundries. Short 7 mile commute, but the bag was invaluable. Also was able to put a bright tail light on it for redundancy with my bicycle tail light, but at a better angle for drivers. Eventually I purchased a large and small for other uses. This bag can't wear out. Pros: Highly water resistant. Commuting in rain is ok! Tab for tail light to alert drivers early morning or late evening. Compartments for sundries. Outside zipper pocket for rapid access to keys, security cards, etc. Long lasting enough that my heirs will find it useful! Great for air travel as a carry-on. Cons: (empty list)

I bought my Medium Classic Messenger Bag in SF in 1994, I think, it may have been '93. This bag has been my EDC for 26 years. It has been to 37 states 14 countries and on my back on a motorcycle that entire time. I have used it for work, for recreation, and a lot of travel. It is the perfect overnight bag (I can get 3 days out of it), the perfect briefcase, perfect gun range bag. I have even adapted it to carry my Camelbak water bladder. It is the MOST durable, convenient, well organized bag EVER! I'm a true believer in buying quality. Timbuk2 far exceeded my expectations. I am writing this, because I am thinking about buying a new one. I don't really need it because my original one is still so great, but doesn't have as much organizational pockets as a new one. I cannot gush enough about this product. If I were you and I was considering this purchase... I would tell you - BUY ONE! NOW!!!!

I was looking for a simple day bag to hold my office gear. I like to change up between my TB2 backpack and the Messenger. The Messenger hangs lower and gives my back a break, and I have a tendency to overstuff my backpack with everything for multi-day use. The small Classic Messenger Bag in black was just the ticket. I'm able to fit my MacBook Pro, iPad, and Surface in the bag, plus a few notebooks and a couple of snacks.

I bought the newly released Classic Large bag as a precaution in in the event of a fire. I was at a stage two warning. I had my BAGS packed and was ready to evacuate. These bags are amazing.

Bag is used on a daily basis. Bag is very well constructed with a perfect weight fabric. Highly recommend!

I carried many items in a miniature style grocery bag. How embarrassing! Now I walk with pride. My Timbuk2 bag is perfect. Nice color scheme, velcro for easy fastening, clips for extra security and a strap for easy no hands carrying. Now my wife wants one!!

This is the second one I bought for my husband.. The first one lasted 5 years and is still good except for the cross strap. He loves it and wears it when he rides his bike to work.

The M messenger bag is awesome. Great quality and larger than expected. I can easily fit my laptop and numerous legal sized files. I do wish it had a 'bottom' that allowed it to stand up better.

I absolutely love this bag and it is so versatile in uses.

This is the second Timbuk2 classic messenger bag i have purchased. My first one was a medium blue one; this one is a small in the Altitude color. It is absolutely perfect! Perfect size, carries all that i need plus knitting, kindle and a water bottle. Perfect color(s), a bit more subdued than the blue bag, but a bit more professional. I feel i can carry this bag into any meeting. Very pleased with the new bag!

I use my bag daily to carry my iPad, phone, & keys as well as a few other items. Love it! Absolutely perfect! And it's sturdy & good looking!

I use this bag everyday to and from work. This is my second Timbuk2 bag. The only reason I had to replace my last one (after 8 years) is because it had gas spilled on it and I couldn't get the smell out. These bags are awesome and will last a long time.

Works perfect as my everyday work bag. Fits my iPad, keys, wallet, water, and some other electronics (with COVID-19 also has room for masks and sanitizers). Perfect size for what I was looking for. Only thing I would personally change would be removing the Velcro (maybe eplacing with magnets), but it's still nearly perfect.

My first TIMBUK2 messenger bag lasted 15 years before it started looking so ragged and was missing some parts, I decided to get a new one. That's not even to say the old one is not usable, because it is, and if this bag stays alive as long as the old one, I will be even happier. One thing my old messenger bag had was more compartments inside the bag, and it helped to keep cables, chargers, and other portable electronics and accessories separate, so I miss that in the new bag. However, there is a great deal more volume in the new bag, and I can toss a change of clothes in there and take a trip, or put other larger objects in there. I love these bags and would totally recommend to anyone looking.

I once bought a bag from another company. Never again. Timbuk2 bags hold up longer, look fresher longer. I love that my bag is one large open space that I can fill with whatever I want. I know some thought went into creating small compartments and zippered sections within the bag, but I'm happier not using them. But they are there if you like being hyper-organized.

I bought this bag 4 years ago for both college and work bike commutes. This was around mid-2016! This bag has undergone the worst of many conditions including rain, snow, and summer heat waves. Not once were my internals wet. I've even brought it with me abroad on plane and boat on tropical islands. This bag has seen it all. Extreme usage everyday for many occasions. Whether it's for light packing or heavy shopping. The straps at the bottom help secure your goods too. Has not failed me for any purpose. The stitch-work on this bag is phenomenal as well. By now there is a few strings popping out but the bag still holds firm and tough. My only concern but a given, is that your documents will be bent around but I guess any flexible bag would be like that. As well as that, because the back end of the bag rubs on me, the material is starting to flake off after 4 years. But even then this is veeeery tiny flaking. Everything on this bag is made to last. Perhaps the materials on the 3 panels night matter too. I have "Cordura Nylon Ripstop Nautical" for left + right and "Polyester With Water Repellant Laminate" White for center. The polyester is the one flaking from behind. I'd recommend the waterproof materials completely though! But this will add on to your bag's price. Grab strap and stash pockets are highly recommended too if you want to make the most of this bag, and its utility. Great for dividing your contents. If you're looking for a work-horse of a bag that looks sleek, then by all means buy this. Price can sky rocket and shipping I'm unsure of since it's been 4 years. Bought this to be shipped from San Francisco to UK with a UPS but they charged a 38~ Collect on Delivery charge in cash. Things might be different now I don't know. But all asides, a great messenger bag that's great for biking and other purposes. I respect the craftsmanship and love put into this bag very much.

As a mom of 4, having a durable and resilient bag was top on my list. I wanted a bag with a name I could trust and I found it in Timbuk2. I got the XS messenger bag on the sale option and I am not disappointed. It's slim enough where it's just my essential items go in (Waller, sunglasses and my car keys) but enough space where I can keep my sons epidural pen and medication in it for those 'just in case' incidents. I already own a large messenger bag and a backpack when I travel and I don't think I am going to end there.
