This is my first bag and I love it so far. It is made of best quality and is very comfortable to use while biking to work.
I hope it will last years as the company claims.

I bought the black, coated nylon bag in medium and it hasn't given me any problems so far. I use it as a school bag and it has been the perfect size to store everything I need - a laptop, notebooks, my lunch, and a coffee mug. The bag does get a bit harder to close when I add my textbook in but nothing has ever fallen apart! After a month of use, the nylon still looks pretty new. The cross strap makes taking the bag on and off really easy (I couldn't figure out how to adjust the strap to wear the bag over my right shoulder, but I got used to the new side pretty easily)

I ride a bike full time and have done so for three years and do not know how I got by without this bag. I bought both the large and medium in case I did not require the full size bag. Both have served their purpose and I use the every day. The bags will hold shoes and clothing that I carry for my job and can be pulled in snug tight for an secure fit that does not happen with other bags I recommend this bag to anyone for any purpose and be sure you purchase other sizes to give yourself option wonderful product

I purchased this for a everyday carry bag. I own a Timbuk2 laptop bag as well. I am very impressed with the quality of this bag. I use it to carry my wallet, iPad, Hydro Flask waterbottle, and items I would normally carry in my pocket. This back is not only stylish its functional! Plus you can design this bag with the features and colors you would like. I highly recommend getting a bright color on the inside of the bag so finding things is easy.

I will be using this bag for two years every single day so I wanted a bag that will be able to last.
The build quality is very top notch and the strap is strong and durable. Condora fabric is as advertised, the strongest and best.
To be honest, I see no reason for the Velcro on the inside of the flap. I can see why they thought it may have been a good idea but I don't think it works.
I still love the bag and use it every day! :)

I have a very short bike commute (4 miles round trip) but a long work day (~10 hours) so I like to bring everything I'll need for the day. I pack my laptop, folder with papers, change of shoes and clothes, toiletries, snacks and a few other miscellaneous items. My bag is very practical for my needs. It's stylish, spacious, and durable. After 1 month of owning it, I can say I like it and am completely satisfied with it.

It's excellent and charming.
Tends to buy a customized one later.
Maybe seek a discount period to choose another one.

I bought my first Timbuk2 bag in 2005 and used it daily for commuting, school and work..Here it is 2015 and I am just now buying my second bag. I recommend Timbuk2 to just about everyone I know. Seriously, I can't give enough praise to the quality, practicality and the stylishness of these bags.

Absolutely love the size, cross body strap length and shoulder pad, neutral color and number of pockets and storage areas! Fits my iPad mini without problem. Only negative is that there is no sneaking into the bag for something. ... That Velcro is strong and loud EVERY time you open it!

Everything great about this bag. Just forgot how loud Velcro is when used at the office or in quiet settings. I love the extra protection of the Velcro and buckle straps. My giant water bottles don't fit in here, but that's not a big deal because they dot dot in any bag ever. Color is great! Just get this bag already. You won't regret this purchase.

Bought for my mom. Small sze just right for everyday use. She uses it as a purse. Strap allows her to position bag across her body which helps with her balance. Short purse straps are always falling off her shoulder. Also helps with weight distribution for her bad back. Smoke tweed color with cobalt trim is very attractive. She loves it!

This bag is perfect for what I needed - a bag that I could use to commute to and from work, but also as a general carry around/weekend bag, though the small version that I have wouldn't suffice as a weekend overnight bag, unless you're a VERY light packer. It's perfect for carry a few work files, and my slim computer when I need it, plus my lunch, glasses case, umbrella when I need it, etc. It's a great size, and for me it limits the amount of unnecessary junk I carry, with enough room for the actual needs. Only thing I wish it had was an external side pocket. Either a water bottle slot or a less bulky (maybe even mesh) zipper pocket. I would just like a spot to throw my keys/whatever when I don't want to open the bag and use the (very handy) attached key chain thing.

I bought the messenger bag for cycliing to work, but i like its style that i have ended up usining as more of an around town bag. I went with the medium which i think is a good size, plenty of room for a laptop, light sweater a water bottle and a few bits. More comfortable then carry around a daypack.

As a mother of four I am always looking for the bag that keeps my hands free, looks great, stays where I want it & hold all my stuff.
I love this bag! It looks awesome. Stays put. Keeps me completely hands free.... But my lovely re-usable water bottle will not fit in the water bottle pocket.
The pocket will hold a plastic water bottle you buy in stores & wending machines. We don't buy those.
I love this bag for sooo many reasons. I can carry this bag on a weekend date trip with my husband or a field trip to the zoo (we homeschool). I can ride my bike with it and it stay on my back. I can slide it under the airplane seat. I can fit a weekend of clothes in it. I can fit toys, snacks, laptop and books in it all at the same time.
But I can not find our water bottles in it..... Sad face.
Ps, buy this bag anyway!!! You will never wear a better bag!!!!
I love you timbuk2!!

Just got this bag in small a few months ago, mainly with traveling in mind. I used it as my daypack as I travelled to NY, France, and Italy. Got this bag with the Snoop camera bag insert. Together, they made the PERFECT travel companion. Easily fit my iPad and camera gear as a carry on. During outings, I'd leave my iPad and pack a camelbak bladder in the laptop sleeve. Sometimes, when I didn't want to bring all my gear, I'd wear my camera on my hip, leave the insert at my hotel, and stuff my bag with whatever else I needed for the day. With all the pockets, zippers, buckles, and velcro, it felt VERY safe for traveling. side pocket made for easy access to things like my phone and passport, while the zipper made for good security.
Only bummer is that, with the camera bag insert, the main flap doesn't close all the way, so parts of the velcro is exposed. So with the constant opening and closing of my bag, the front buckle straps and trim would get caught in the velcro. As a result, I got really fuzzy straps by the end of my one month of use.
When I got back to SF, my car got broken into and my bag was stolen from my trunk. Such a shame because I only had a short time with it, but I'd say I got my money's worth! I'll be starting school soon and am seriously considering repurchasing the same bag, possibly in Medium - Maybe the small snoop camera bag will still fit comfortably in a size up?

Will be using this in Mexico to carry books and personal items. I needed something durable and waterproof on a daily basis that will last me at least 18 month. I feel like this will do the trick.I returned the xsmall for the small because the xsmall did not have all the features like the cross strap and the side pocket.
