LOVE this shoe. I have had trouble with rolling my ankles (after an injury years ago) and was advised to try a minimal shoe. Bought these for hiking in Yosemite and could not have been happier. Great fit, super comfortable, breathable and quick to dry. It took a few minutes to get used to them but now I can't imagine in hiking in a traditional athletic shoe or boot. I typically order a 6 or a 6.5 - the 6.5 worked well for me with or without a sock.

Like these shoes but they run small, and for gym etc need shoes that are not tight.

This is at least my tenth pair of these New Balance minimus's. My favorite shoe for gym activities or running under three miles.

This sneaker is incredibly lightweight, has great grip, and is flexible. Other reviewers suggested ordering a full size larger and that is absolutely correct. I barely wear a size 8, so I ordered a 9 and it fits with just a tad room to spare. Depending on the style of shoe, I sometimes order a wide, probably 1/4 of my shoes are wide, so I ordered this Minimus in wide it is barely wide enough! I have to wear thin socks with them due to the width. The sneakers lace very tightly and the fit is so snug that I find that it takes a long time to put them on, they're not the kind of shoe you just throw on and run out the door, at least I can't. But, after they are on, they are so comfortable that I'm good all day. My other sneakers are heavy Kuru's that I got for relieving walking pain, so I am using the Minimus to have days here and there with a lightweight shoe. Now my other shoes feel like cement blocks!

Love, love, love these shoes. I've just taken up running, and these shoes have been the key to me sticking with it. I usually wear a 7.5 and I ordered 8 as other reviewers have suggested. They fit perfect. But, my shoe size is between 7 and 7.5. Fantastic shoe!

These shoes are awesome and the new colors are fantastic. They DO however run small. Make sure you order 1/2 size bigger and you will love them!!

Definitely a minimalist shoe, but not the one for me. I am transitioning and need a bit of give.

I am not a runner but I love these shoes for everyday wear, they look great with jeans or shorts and are very comfortable for this application. The fact that they are low profile is great too, I have a big foot but these don't make my foot look ginormous. I love the light weight of these New Balance Minimus too. They do run very small at least for me, I ordered half size larger than I normally wear and had to return them for a full size larger, which fit nicely. I will buy these again in a different color. I do love the blue that I got just want more colors.

Runs very small, order a full size larger. Zappos is awesome and I can’t remember when I’ve bought shoes elsewhere. I want to love these shoes since I have loved the Merrill vapor glove but now need a wider shoe. I have never worn bigger than an 8.5. I ordered and returned the 8.5; then ordered and returned the 9. I just ordered a 9.5 W. Fingers crossed.

I was devastated when New Balance discontinued these, because they're the only running shoes I've ever liked, so when I saw they were available again, I pounced! Based on the reviews, I ordered a 9.5 (my old pair is a 9) and they fit well. The width is fine for me, but my feet tend to be on the narrow side. I love the new teal color!Please don't discontinue these again!

Really cute...couldn't wait to get these for everyday romping around mostly. I bought the blue (a good blue)...and usually I like to stay fairly neutral and don't like a lot of color (almost got the black and gray pair). I actually really like the accent of color. They will be great three seasons for Nashville even and around the house in the winter with sweats.

These shoes are amazing! Light and airy but with good tread on the bottom. Definitely run small. I normally wear a size 9,(sometimes an 8.5) but I ordered these in a 9.5 and they were perfect. I don't think they are too narrow like other reviewers said, but I think my feet are on the narrow side. If you are borderline wide, I would order a wide. But definitely 1//2 size up or a whole size up if you like them roomy.

This is my second pair of Minimus and I am just as happy with this pair as my first. They are soooo comfortable. It’s almost like not wearing a shoe at all. They are super lightweight and yet supportive at the same time. I use them for Crossfit and kick boxing.

Very comfortable but the arch hit me in a weird place. They look awesome!

I love these shoes for running! No arch support and take some training to benefit from this style shoe but I will never go back to traditional running shoes

I absolutely love these shoes! So comfortable right out of the box. I ordered my regular size, but went with the wide instead of the regular as suggested in the other reviews. Perfect!

I have long been a fan Merrill’s vapor glove, love the flexible sole. I am not A runner but use this for walking and other exercise. I find that the Vibram sole allows more blood circulation to my feet keeping them comfortable all day. However, Merrills now feel too narrow for me (was wearing an 8 1/2 medium). I was happy to find NB with the Vibram sole is available in wide. However, they seem to run small. Normally an 8 wide is comfortable. I ordered these in an 8 1/2 wide and they are too small. I am exchanging them for a 9 wide.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, however, based on reviews, I ordered a half size larger and they were still a bit snug. I worm them anyway through the summer but with the thinnest of socks, and they were ok. Those will be by summer pair. I just received my second pair that are one full size larger and they are perfect.

I normally wear a 7.5 in athletic shoes and an 8 in heels. This is one of those shoes you ought to size up by half size and go wide. The 8 W fit perfectly for my 7.5 feet-go Ft the Wide. You will thank me later. These are cut extremely narrow and close to a 7.5 so if you decide to wear a sock that’s even slightly padded for running or walking you are going to be crunching your toes. I love them. They are minimalistic and light. I’m glad New Balance brought them back. They are a standard in my book.

I love these shoes! I normally wear an 8 and had to return for an 8 1/2. I got these for running and they have been great. We recently went on vacation to Montana and I wore these for everything, jogging in the mornings, hiking on trails, and even climbing through a slippery cave. The traction on wet surfaces is great. I'd go up a full size bigger if you plan to wear with socks (I prefer without). Overall, I will definitely buy again once these get worn out!!!

Yay, my rule, it has to fit me perfectly out of the box. These did and charmed me too...I'm tossing the socks, and hitting the road/path/track/1/2 marathon/school/grocery store...

I have been hiking in barefoot shoes for a number of years and recently tried using my old New Balance WR00 running shoes on the trail. The sole could not stand up to the wear and tear of the trail. I tried the New Balance Minimus 10v1 because it seemed to be the closest to my old WR00's. I eventually settled on one whole size larger and wider that my WR00's! The Mimimus 10v1 have almost the same feel as the WR00 but the sole is durable and sticks to rocks really well. Now that I have used the Minimus 10v1 on several hikes I am in love! A friend that was getting really sore feet using a regular tennis shoe has tried them at my recommendation and is very pleased. Exercising you foot flexibility makes for happy feet!

I love these shoes. So happy that NB reintroduced these shoes. This is my second pair. They don't take up much room in your luggage, great for runs and working out on business trips. I usually take size 7.5 or 8, ordered the 8 and they were a bit snug. I'm returning them to get a size 8.5.
