I love NB Minimus and they are the only running shoe I have ever worn (running only since 2012). When they became difficult to find, I would grab them from anywhere I could and only recently had I worn through my final pair. However, this Minimus is just not the same. I have always been an 8.5 regular. It was too narrow and a bit snug. I tried the 8.5 wide and it was still uncomfortable. I could order a 9 wide, as Zappos' return policy is so great that I am really not that inconvenienced, but I am starting to think that the new version of this shoe will just never feel right. Perhaps it's time to try the Merrell Vapor Glove? So disappointing. Zappos continues to be wonderful though!

My usual size is 7.5. In NB Minimus 7.5B & 8B were both too short and too narrow. Size 8.5B fit great--except that arch support was like a stone underneath my foot--so hard it made my toes go to sleep! New Balance: please take note--normal feel do not need arch supports. A flat sole bed inside the shoe is best!

These are well made, look great, and seem breathable and durable. Unfortunately the sock-like interior and the toe protector are too constricting and positioned in such a way that my outer toes bump against the seam. I'm afraid my toe nails would be damaged if I gave them a try on the road. Very sadly going back.

The item was sent in a raggedy box like a truck rolled over it.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They run a little small so order a half size up. The major problem with these shoes they curl up on the end like elf shoes. They look really silly on.

I was so excited when I saw this shoe. Even though Zappos recommended my usual size 8, after reading the reviews, I opted to order an 8 1/2. I'm not just a sometimes 8, I've only ordered an 8 1/2 one other time so I was amazed when I put the shoe on and it was too short and too narrow (that has never happened to me). I liked everything about these shoes, except the sizing. Too bad, they are being sent back.

Gorgeous but crazy narrow. Ended up with Brooks med width instead of NB wise. Too bad bc I really wanted these to fit but even without thick socks the toe box hurt. Bummer, NB!

This shoe is a strange fit for me. I use orthotics and need a deeper toe box. The toe box on this shoe is practically non-existent; my feet feel as if they're being crushed from the top. I generally wear a B-C width; the width at the front is fine. My big toe has space to the front--just not on top. I loved the former very cushioned model of New Balance walking shoes, and miss them. I need all-black, which limits my choices. Unfortunately, these shoes, though they look cute, must go back.

I've worn NB Minimus shoes since they introduced the line. I ordered the same size that I've always worn and I couldn't even get my feet into them. Visually they look similar to my current pair of last-gen shoes (maybe a little narrower) but there was no way they were getting on my feet. I may try sizing up or just abandon this style for now.

I wanted to like this shoe, but there were several problems: 1) I normally wear a 9, I had to go to a 9.5 with these; 2) I have a wide foot and bought a wide width, and they were tight around the middle of my foot/arch and too wide in the toe box--so wide that I developed calluses on my left foot from my foot sliding around in it; and 3) after a couple of months I began to experience a strain through the arch of my right foot when running in this shoe, as well as pain from the arch to the big toe of my right foot, and that pain continued even when I wore other shoes. I recently replaced them with a pair of Merrell Vapor Glove 3 and that's been a much more comfortable shoe through several runs now.

These run super small and narrow. I had an old pair size 6 that fit fine and bought these in a 6.5. Length was ok (no socks) but super narrow.

I really wanted to like the New Balance Minimus 10v1 but I found it way too short. I ordered a size 10 (my true size), then a 10 1/2 & then a size 11. All too short. I was going to order the 12 but I found that the larger size had less arch support. Alas, I had to return all.

I don't know what New Balance is doing, but in general they seem to run wider than they used to run. NB has been one of my favorite shoes, but lately I can't seem to find a pair that fit correctly.

I am a solid 8.5, I ordered these and felt like I was trying on a kid's shoe. Exchanged for a 9, still too small, and finally exchanged again for a 9.5. They fit, but the back rubbed and made my ankle socks ride down after briefly walking around my bedroom to try them on, which is an immediate deal breaker.

These shoes are so cute, but they are unbelievably uncomfortable. There is a strange hard plastic piece that presses into my arch so much they are unwearable. My feet are not sensitive and I have never had trouble with a pair of shoes before this. Sadly they have to go back. Also, do order up. I am always a 9, and the 10 fits correctly.

Despite this pair is the same size and same style as my old pair made in USA, this pair was too narrow and slightly different engineering. I'm soooo sad I had to return them since I've been looking for this style for a long time all over the internet. Perhaps it makes a difference that these ones were not made in USA boohoo ........

New Balance should pay for any returns on these, the sizing on this model is terrible. I've owned a few pairs of the minimus trail runners in the past and have been very happy with them. This model is without question much smaller than in both the size and the width. I don't see why New Balance would make shoes the wrong size. Also, it says they are lace up, but in reality the tongue of the shoe is connected to the sides so it fits more light a too tight sock or glove. The reason I loved these shoes in the past is because they were so comfortable you could barley notice them. I have a feeling these are going to be hot and comfortable and I'm hoping I can find another brand that knows how to make shoes the right size.

I had worn out my previous version of these shoes that were made in the USA. Now, the sizing and width has completely changed. I went through 3 iterations of orders (thank you Zappos for free shipping both ways!), only to be disappointed in the shoe feel. The shoe is much narrower and shorter than it used to be. I ended up buying the Merrell Vapor Glove instead.

I want to love these as I had an earlier version, but I hate them. There is no true tongue and they are impossible to put on and then when you lace them it comes over the tongue. The sides are already breaking and overall they have no support. They definitely look nice but I wouldn’t recommend if you want to do even minimal activity in them. Go back to the old version with stronger mesh and a true tongue under laces.

I loved the look of this shoe - sporty but chic enough for casual wear too. And it was lightweight and bouncy. The back half of my foot was super comfortable - despite the minimalist style, there's actually good arch support. But oh dear, the front half ... totally skewed towards the inside, so that my outer toes were smashed against the top, while my big toe had half an inch of room to the inside. I don't get that at all. Maybe it's supposed to change the way I tread, and will eventually fit well - but then will all my other shoes not fit? I'm puzzled.

Have been using the Minimus as my go-to crossfit shoe for 4-5 years and never had a problem with size. Unfortunately this pair felt at least a half-size small, which does me no good since I wear a 12 and can't size up. Very frustrated since this was one of the few (only??) minimal-style shoes I could get in my size without buying a men's shoe. Width seemed adequate and the colors (tornado) were nice.

I have wide feet and was really hoping these would be great. Unfortunately, wide meant wide in the toe area and not in the rest of the shoe. I even ordered two pairs, my normal size and half a size larger. If I were to order a larger size still my toes would be swimming. Had to return.

Zappos sent me a size 12, so I was unable to determine how a size 5.5 might fit.

These are really nice shoes but sadly I have to return them because they are run REALLY SMALL. I ordered size 8.5 which is my normal size. I have never worn shoes any larger than that. Unfortunately this pair was so small I could barely put it on!
