I loved the way these looked and felt, but if the ground was even slightly unsteady and my foot was not flat, the elastic stretched so easily that the sandal gave way. I fell at least twice as a result. I ended up donating these to charity.

This is an attractive shoe but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the stretchy bands across the foot don't stretch! They are WAY too tight. When I took them off, they left 2 red bands across the top of my feet. 24 hours later, the red marks are still there! I wouldn't recommend this shoe to anyone. I'm glad I didn't get stuck out on a cruise ship in the ocean with these sandals as my only sandals. I would be out of luck! Sorry Zappos.

This sandal continues to stretch out to the point that I had to take it to a shoemaker to have the bands made shorter so that it would stay on my foot. Very unhappy with the quality of the elastic that was used. Even after taking it and having it made smaller, it continues to stretch out and now I can't wear it at all. I typically wear a narrow (especially in the heel) shoe so my foot did not stretch out the elastic, the elastic is of poor quality. I would never recommend this shoe.

I am 73 and slender. Had seen and tried on the shoe another lady had and loved the look and comfort. Unfortunately, like many others who have reviewed the shoe, I found the shoe way too wide and yes, the heel strap has only a short length of Velcro hook so could not be 'cinched' up enough to come anywhere near a good fit. Loved it so much I even thought of taking 'darts' in the straps over the foot. I wear a AA normally so should have listened to the reviews commenting about being wide if your foot is narrow. Would not suggest ordering unless you wear at least a B width. Too bad Clark does not make this shoe in a couple of narrower widths. If so, I would probably purchase in every color. Also, I suggest Clark make the color of the soles the same as the upper straps...gray with gray, beige with beige, etc. Will sadly need to return.

Cloudsteppers are extremely comfortable and I was excited to find these on sale, but the elastic was much too long and because of the placement of the velcro there was no way to tighten them. I ordered the size 10 which I wear in other Cloudsteppers (I wear a 9 in other shoes) and I measured a 3.5 inch gap in the strap behind my heel when the elastic strap was fastened, which not only looked ridiculous but wouldn't keep the shoe on my feet. Back they went. Too bad, I like this line of shoes.

I was so excited to get them but the band on top is too tight and the sides are too skinny. I already wore them out because they felt ok at first but they made my toes go numb.

Ditto on the excessively long heel strap. Cute and comfy doesn't help if it won't stay on your foot.

The instep band is not elastic. If you have a high instep it is incredibly uncomfortable.
