I was very hopeful for these shoes especially when a reviewer said she could wear them despite her neuroma, since I also have one. I wear size 8 and that's what I ordered but not sure if my 3 star ratings were because the shoes could have been a little bigger. I discovered the ankle straps were a bit stiff which made them uncomfortable. It's August in Ohio and even though I was in my house with air conditioning, the shoes were HOT! I haven't decided if I'm going to try a larger size or not. I just wasn't as impressed with the Kata as others. Perhaps the color (Beige Iguana Nubuck/Khaki) could also have contributed to the Ehhh rating.

I had looked at these shoes for some time because I really liked their appearance. They did not disappoint. However I had to return them because the higher strap hurt my ankles. I tried to walk with them in the house for an hour, but they became very uncomfortable, so I reluctantly decided to return them. Think about this if you have sensitive ankles. Also, be aware that the front color is grey, not beige.

So wanted to love this shoe, as it is beautiful. But the fit is was not right for me; on the narrow side in the forefoot and ankle a bit too large even when tied tightly. Bummer.

I love the style of this shoe but for me personally, I found it runs small. This was the first time I've ever had to return my normal size & order the next size up. I also found that with the second, larger pair the left shoe fits differently & rubs a blister on the side of my foot in a weird spot though the right shoe fits perfectly. Considering the price, I really expected a better fit & I'm not sure that I will purchase this brand again or recommend it to anyone. I'm a retail store manager & I was hoping for a great pair of comfortable, cute shoes to wear to work.

These are beautiful shoes. I had high hopes for them. The ankle strap actually left a bruise after a short time of wearing them indoors. Returning them.

Not very stylish

The toe of the shoe was a little wide. In addition, the ties around the ankle just weren't very comfortable for me. Cute shoe, but it didn't work for me. Returned it.

The upper part of the shoe is pretty, but the toe area really looks orthopedic. I am a mature woman who needs comfortable shoes, but the toe area made the shoe look too unstylish for me to wear. I have other shoes from this brand that I love, but this one did not suit me.

I wanted to like this shoe but it did not have enough cushion or arch support for me. The sole is on the thin side and I could feel any bumps I encountered in my house. The leather pressed against my ankles and caused it to hurt a bit. There is a nice fabric on the upper inside part of the shoe where it meets the top of the foot. The insoles are removable so you can add your own orthotic. The heel came up pretty high but it didn't bother me at all. I'm sad to return them but my right big toe was aching after trying them in my house for a while. This would look great with anything.

I must use these with my orthotics. I was looking forward to trying these and I wore them around the house for a day to check for and comfort, and for that they felt really good. Unfortunately when I walked to work, on downhills the top of the toe dug into my foot, and the ties around the ankle didn't feel so great either. It helped to tie the ankles loose, but I can only hope there is a break in period for the toe box.

I was so excited about getting these shoes! However, I can't keep them because they are short in the toe box and I needed them for daily wear.

I thought I would love these based on the reviews but I returned them. Not completely comfortable on my chubby foot - the sides of the top curve dug into my foot and the ankle strap wasn't comfortable for walking a lot in Paris. Not the Naot for this trip.

I wanted to love these so much but they didn't work out for many in a few ways. First off the good--well made, nice leather and arch support. But...much to narrow--not only did it squeeze on my little toe but also cut into the top of my foot particularly over the big toe when I tried them on. The back "tab" portion cut into the back of my ankle when walking. I sent them back :(

I love the style of these Kata shoes and was so happy to find them on Zappos. I have other Naot shoes and expected them to be well made and of good quality. Unfortunatly, this was not the case. I received them today and the second I put them on I noticed that the left shoe felt very different and was uncomfortable, there was something sharp pressing on the inner side of my foot. Upon inspection of the 2 shoes i noticed a visible difference in the construction of the shoe, which clearly points to a quality control flaw. I can’t imagine NAOT will approve a pair of shoes with the right and left shoe that dont quite match. Are these genuine Naot product?

I bought a pair in blue and love them. In black, they were at least a half-size smaller, and I tried twice in that size (40 for a US 9), so somehow the black ones are cut differently and I had to send them back. I may try a larger size but don't like feeling that something is off with a shoe this expensive.

Disappointed Naot has changed their sizing. It used to be my go to brand, but unfortunately since I wear a 42/11 I have no where to size up to now. I have worn this brand almost exclusively for the past 12 years but in the past few years the sizing has changed and I no longer can find a style to fit my feet.

I am trying so hard to buy this shoe in black. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews to learn that this shoe in the color black runs smaller than other colors. So my first pair was too small ( I am regularly a size 10 and First ordered a size 41 - too small.) I returned and ordered the 42 which fit but the left shoe has a defect. The tie strappy part that fits around the ankle is crooked, making it look strange but also uncomfortable. Does Zappos receive “seconds” from the shoe manufacturers? This is the second time I’ve received a defective shoe in less than a year ( different brands) and had to return for this reason. I love the look, comfort and style of this shoe! I’m not sure if “third time will be the charm” or if I just need to start over. Nast are such great shoes and worth every penny when they fit and aren’t defective.

Was disappointed with this shoe. The toe area has fabric padding/lining, which I do not like...particularly at this price point. They were OK comfort wise, but not something I could wear all day. Zappos was amazing, as always.

This shoe is cute, but the front foot area looked funny because there was a wide space between the top of my foot and the top of the shoe. The width seemed okay, it was just the front height was excessive. I tend to have that problem though with some shoes but not usually this much.

I was so hoping these would be comfortable because I've looked long and hard for a stylish flat for work. They were much shorter than the sizing and I'm afraid to go up a size because I don't know if that will help the narrow vamp across the top of my foot. I have always worn medium width - this brand just runs narrow.

Great looking shoe, comfortable arch but the back of the shoe pressed in on my tendon enough to know it would be really uncomfortable wearing all day. The shoe is not wide. Would be comfortable for a medium width.

I got a pair in blue that fit beautifully and are extremely comfortable. I've now tried two pairs in black and both are smaller than the same size in blue. I'm a size 9 and bought all these pairs in 40 (because I thought the first black pair was an aberration, but it seems to be how this color is cut). I'll try a size up because I really want them in black.

I wear a true 8-1/2W and I sized up to the 40 (US 9) with these. The length felt true to size because I had room from the end of my toes, to the tip of the shoe. The width felt true to width, so they did fit like a true size US 9 for me. The problem for me was the part at the top of the shoe by the opening. It was so tight that the tops of my feet had marks on them when I took them off after wearing them for a few minutes. It felt like it was cutting into the tops of my foot. Someone with Medium width feet would like these shoes, but a person with wide feet may find these very uncomfortable from the top opening of this shoe. Loved the look of these, just wasn't the right shoe for me.

Beautiful shoe, however the ankle portion of it is too high and really bothered my feet when I walked. So sorry had to return it.
