This shoe was really nice and well made. The insole was very comfy and the style is cute. I just can't wear them because I broke my great toe on one foot a long time ago and have had surgeries that pinned the toe and ultimately makes one foot larger then the other. I have to avoid shoes with a binding across the instep like these have. The other foot felt great though.

It wasn't my style but it would have served the purpose for selecting it. Good ankle support.

Have not worn outside yet. You should wait at least a couple of weeks to solicit reviews. The constant requests are a real turnoff For now get 4 stars since I haven't had a chance to wear for extended time

I ordered these in blue, and the color is beautiful. The shoe was super-comfortable, except that the front part was just exactly the wrong length for my foot. When I walked, the edge dug into a sensitive part of my instep. Disappointing, since the toe box was roomy and the shoe is cute, but I think they'd be painful if worn for long.

I really liked the look of these shoes, but the edge of the toe box dug into my high arch so I had to return them. If you have high-volume feet with a high instep, these may not work for you. Otherwise, they have that amazing (removable) Naot cork insole with good arch support (an old pair of Naot sandals are one of my most comfortable pair of shoes) and the leather/nubuck backs and sides are smooth and comfortable.

I have several Naot shoes in size 39, but these felt small across the toe box for me. Too bad because I love the style!

I am size 6.5 and the 37 was perfect. Wide toe box very comfortable, Returning because sandal rubbed on outside of left ankle.

Like most Naots, these shoes are very comfortable. Good summer-to-fall shoe. My only criticism is that they have to be tied and untied, which makes me less likely to reach for them when I'm in a hurry, which seems to be most of the time! They would be a perfect style to have a little zipper up the back - are you listening, Naot?

The shoe is too high to wear with ankle pants. I am petite and the pants might be a little longer than for regular sizes.

I ordered a 37 and a 38 as I have some of each. While I could have managed with the 37, the 38, with a little more room, seemed like a good idea. I got beige without considering how quickly they might need cleaning (hence the overall score of 4 instead of 5) but I am hoping the reviewer's idea for cleaning with the brush will do the trick because I really like them. If I could have gotten them with all plain leather, they would have gotten a 5 for sure.

So cute, but the laces don’t stay tied!!!

I purchased these shoes after reading the reviews -- fit narrow -- I have narrow heels but not so narrow toes. But I also have a long narrow foot and my left foot is a half size longer. And I can't walk in heels. I love Dansko platform shoes, platform anything. Also Ecco. Only, I don't do well with slippery insoles; my feet slide around in the shoe. I'm having a great time with Naots. Styles without an ankle strap will slide off my feet, but, I bought a pair for "indoor shoes." I need a lot of support and they do have great support, even better than my combat boots (which I wear all summer). One thing is, the Katas squeaked. Did anyone mention that? That's why I gave them only 4 stars. They didn't squeak on carpet, but on wooden floors they were squeaky. Other than that, they are perfect.

I ordered the Beige Iguana Nubuck/Khaki Beige Leather/Arizona Tan Leather, sz 39. The length was ample but too tight above the toe area. My orthotic fit well into the shoe once the footbed was removed. If having a shoe up higher on the heel bothers you, this is not the shoe for you. It is a nice looking shoe. A size 40 would have been too long so I had to return them.

Really cute and comfortable but shoe string on one shoe was cut. Must return these.

These shoes are my favorite pair I've ever purchased! I got to try these on in the store so luckily I knew the right size - usually I'm an 8 but a 38 (size 7) fits me like a glove. I have a wide foot and these are the perfect width. They are super duper ridiculously comfortable, they feel like a real shoe with excellent support, legit sole and luxurious materials. But they are also super cute and go well with any outfit! I always get compliments whenever I wear them. :)

Great shoe and color...but it came damaged with one of the laces being broken. It made me think about what I would do if the laces broke permanently since they aren't regular laces. So I'm rethinking ordering a replacement pair.

I own and do well with the Matai, which is made on this footbed. The Kata shoe is cut a little more close to the foot, so that I'm on the verge of being cramped and for that reason I decided to return them. Also, the higher ankle portion bothered one ankle, cutting in, which was another negative. I finally went with the Celosia, which has a roomier toe box. But the Kata is very cute, if it fits you!

I love these shoes but I have to return them. I have a really wide foot and the width is just narrow enough in the wrong spot. They are really cute but if you have thick ankles, the strap will accentuate that.

These shoes were so cute and classy looking on, however, the leather heel and straps were too stiff and uncomfortable. I am returning these and trying something else.

Frist of all, I acknowledge have a hard foot to fit. I need a lot of padding/support. These didn't offer enough, but my main issue that in a size 9 they look very unattractive...like duck feet. The toe box was too wide. Ugh. The outside material was attractive and I liked the lacing that kept my foot in the shoe. In many shoes, I "walk" out of the back. They were definitely not for me.

How how cute this shoe is! I so wanted to love it. The minute I put it on I fell in love…but after wearing it around the house I realized that no matter how cute a shoe is…if it’s not totally comfortable cute doesn’t matter. I have a high instep and the band across the toes was very unforgiving. They just HURT! I don’t think they would stretch enough to wear. Sadly they will be returned!

I would say that the FIT was not a problem at all. But I decided to return these cute shoes because they were just very slightly not as comfortable as I had hoped, I felt that I would not enjoy the lace-up feature over time, and they were a bit too casual. Though these problems were not major problems, I felt that they were enough to prevent me from wearing them as often as I had thought I would do, judging only from the picture. THANK YOU for your policy of allowing the customer to order, try on, and return if necessary without charge. That is a great incentive to continue doing business with Zappo's, and I am sure I will continue to wear NAOT styles!!! I love their selections.

I liked the idea of these, and the reviews were great. I need a lot of support and because they are more sandal like--open in the middle-- they did not provide that for me. Also there is a seam on the outside that exactly hits my tailor's (little toe) bunions. It would be agonizing to wear. And they were cuter in the picture.
