Very comfortable socks that have held up well so far to light urban walking. I appreciated the fell of the socks and the way the seams are not prominent. They also stay up well and don't sag in the shoes.

Nice comfortable padding in the sole of the foot. Quite tight around the ankle even though they fit in the foot, and made my feet a bit sweaty (unusually for me!)

They arrested nice but stil I like the old rag wool socks the hot. Thick one use everyday at work and home but these are a nice change into after a long hike

Awesome socks. Love these for working outside with my work boots. They are one of my favorite pairs of socks.

The socks are comfortable but I would only wear them around the house. They are loose on my feet and bunch up when wearing them with shoes. This would probably be corrected if they were a medium and not a large.

This is not my first pair of smart wool socks. I love them. Thin and heavy at the same time.

Bought a pair of PhD light cushion in Desert Sand. The issue with the socks is the color, they certainly shouldn't be called Desert Sand. They are more a dirty Taupe with a tinge of green. A bigger and better color selection would certainly be welcome in this line of socks.

Nice socks. Good fit. They don't move around on a long hike. All the advantages of wool socks - they didn't absorb sweat or smell. I normally don't wear crew socks (to high for my taste), but I've worn these a few times and I'll likely pick up a few pairs of lower cut socks from SmartWool.

Historically, I like the Smartwool brand... Been concerned lately about the overall quality (primarily how long they last). So only time will tell with this pair. But in 1st three wearings of these socks I found them too warm.

Seems to be another pair of hiking socks. My prior experience with Smartwool products wearing out very quickly has me withholding judgement. I also like socks with extra padding on specific areas.

I have been wearing only wear Smart Wool socks for years, love them and have given them as gifts. I recently bought four pair in size large and have worn and washed two pair. The older PhD Outdoor socks were great and sized correctly! The new ones are way too tight and leave a super tight line at the top of the sock at my calf. I'm 5' 10", 170 lbs. and a size 10 shoe. The size chart shows that the socks go up to a size 11.5 but they don't! The old socks were perfectly sized! I use many other Smart Wool products and love them. When the socks were so good and fit so well why make them smaller than the size chart! I have two pair that I have worn a few times and are completely unusable due to the small size!

Seems like a warm sock but too tight for my size 13 foot.

I only wear smart wool sox, for all occasions. The style I had bought before had been discontinued so I tried these. They were too tight and left an indentation in my lower leg at the end of the day. I am 6 feet 1 and 230 lbs and I ordered the XL.
