I find these socks to be warm and durable. They are a little snug to get on, but once on are totally comfortable.

I bought socks for myself and for my adult children as Christmas presents.

I bought six pairs of socks recently to restock my sock drawer. (all different). The two light varieties are now among my favorite's. Much more cushioning than the ultra lights. If they hold up through the summer I might start buying these rather than the ultra light's. They've been wonderful so far in winter temps.

We wear Smartwool socks every day. I use the light weight in warmer weather and the medium cushion during cold weather. Feet don't sweat!

Wear these socks every day for the comfort, the PHD that doesn't make my feet sweat, the various cushions offered make them great for any season of the year.

Thanks to Smartwool I received a free pair for being a rewards member! I had to buy another one because they are so awesome. Durable and tight, they fit close to the foot with little movement and provide the extra cushion and warmth needed. I have some regular medium cushion socks and can really tell the difference between the PhD line.

i live in florida and these are great to keep your feet dry!

Not too bulky and keeps feet dry throughout the day, the elastic around the calf "actually" stays up instead of riding down to the ankles.

I spend a lot of time at work on walking on concrete floors in safety-toe shoes. These socks are great- no bunching or slipping down, good amount of stretch, good support through the arch, my feet stay dry and comfortable. I'll definitely be buying a few more pairs.

To be fair, I received a free pair to try out. Finally wore them and was completely satisfied. Fit well & comfortable. Appear well made and manage moisture well. Looking forward to putting many miles on them.

I received a pair of these socks from SmartWool as a part of the Rewards program. These have quickly become my favorite summer sock. They breath well and are cool on a hot day. They are very comfortable -- the seam in the toe is not an irritant like with some socks, they have a nice light compression quality to them and the padding is spot on for me. I will be buying more of these.

Great socks but too tight around my calves. You've got to have skinny legs to love these socks.

Wonderful quality and comfort, certainly worth the investment. Runs a tiny bit small for me, (size13-W), however, love em's anyway.

I used these to travel all over the world, I hiked in them, backpacked, etc. Them being merino wool (partially), allowed for me to get away with minimal washing. Despite day-in-day-out wearing these, they kept their shape and still had decent compression. My only problem is that they started to rip along the chin area, but I guess that was just a one-off pair because my others have no issues. Overall, some of the best socks I own.

The elastic is a bit tight. This is particularly a problem for me as the width at the toes seems to pull my toes together. Do also notice some fluid accumulation in my ankles above the tops of the socks.

Previous Smartwool products have been less durable than other brands. So far, this pair has held up.

I have a few pairs of these socks and they're great. I use them for everything from mountain biking in cold weather to hiking to skiing. Very versatile, warm and they last for a long time.

Very comfortable and strechable socks that keep my feet warm. Slippery on wood floors, be careful! :)

I wore these to work, where I'm on my feet in an area without climate control half the day and sitting in the heat or AC the other half. They were very comfortable out in the plant, but became uncomfortable while sitting at my desk. Good socks, but definitely active socks.

Wish they were thinner summer socks. I live, hike, and camp in central Texas so "heavier" weight socks are usually too hot.

I use Smartwool socks quite a bit already before receiving these. They're of decent quality and are great for camp socks. Although when used for hiking a lot they get warn down more quickly than other brands which is why I use them as camp socks.

I really enjoy these socks, they are comfortable, and the cushioning is just perfect. My favorite socks.
