My job entails wearing boots during all seasons, which makes my feet sweat during the several seasons of the year. I have tried all kinds of different socks over the years and Smartwool socks are by far the best socks I have worn.

I've used these socks for well over a year now and they still look brand new. I have 2 pair and each have well over 200 miles of walking/running under them. They hug your feet better than anything i've used, they don't slide down your leg (even after using the same pair during a 7 day backcountry elk hunt), and they resist odor very well. I use these socks for running, gym, hiking, military, hunting, you name it. My biggest pro is the durability. I beat the "you know what" out of my feet and usually notice at least minor wear and tear after a year, but these things seem to be almost bullet proof. Highly recommend.

The socks provide great comfort and warmth during colder weather. They come in good colors and patterns. I use them exclusively when mining and hiking most of the year.

These socks have been great so far. I've had them almost a year and they still look brand new. I've used them for backpacking trips, a 10 day Elk hunt in the Pioneer mountains of Idaho, and have been my go to's during my Special Forces Selection Prep. Hardly ever get any blisters (if so it's bc I'm breaking in new boots) and they really hug the foot and stay in place. My next pair will probably be in a medium cushion for a little extra softness when under a heavy load, but these have more than performed as advertised.

Fit is good, very comfortable. I've been wearing them in hot weather and they keep my feet at a comfortable temp.

I wear these socks everywhere. I just ordered 3 pairs to go with the 4 that I already had, so that now I can wear them exclusively every day.

These are phenomenal socks for hiking and the outdoors in general. I've been using smart wool socks for years for skiing, hiking and running and have never been disappointed with the comfort and quality these socks will provide.

So I know socks are important, I work in the outdoor industry and the sing sing "cotton kills" is always in my ears. However I never used to be brand specific when it came to my cotton or poly blend socks... Untill now. I attended a vendor clinic for Smartwool a year or so back and was given a pair of these socks at the end. The representative assured me I could use these even without boots or shoes on the trail and I wouldn't put a hold on them. (At least that's what I heard) Though Smartwool makes no claim of this I decided it would be fun to put her word to the test and went on a "barefoot" hike using nothing but these socks. It was a short 3 mile hike with varied terrain; scree fields, water, mud, rock, hard pack. And though my feet didn't thank me much I was astounded that not only was I unable to wear through the socks, they actually maintained their composition throughout the entire ordeal. I still own the same pair I was gifted, wore them to work just yesterday. Couldn't recommend more and often do on a daily basis.

I only wear smart wool sock for work, I do landscape and snow removal and have different weights for every season and they are what I recommend to new people

I have used the socks for work days around the house/office as well as when traveling. They are a great pair of socks for multiple applications.

Working on a Hotshot Crew during fire season, you may find yourself wearing the same pair of socks for 2-3 weeks straight. These are the only socks that hold up. No other sock even comes close to the durability and comfort of these Smartwool's. I personally don't wear anything else, these socks are amazing.

When I made the transition from six pack TJ Maxx style socks to these bad boys, I wasn't sure I was doing myself a favor by paying a higher amount for daily wear socks. My feet have thanked me ever since. I wear boots all day. No matter the temperature, my feet don't sweat or get cold and never stink after 12 plus hours in boots.

Just recently wore these on a multi day hiking trip in AK - weather ranged from wet, cold, and wet... we were warm at times from all the accelerated heart rates... these socks were perfect. Even tho we were soaked, I never felt uncomfortable in these. They dry semi fast (in cloudy conditions) had we had more sun they would have dried faster. Love them and will only wear these for all mutli days from now on.

Here are the socks you should be wearing on your hike. My first try on this brand but, they performed very well. As good as the Ascend merino wool socks I always hike in. I'll get few more of these!
