The jacket fulfills it's purpose perfectly, it is completely water and windproof. It is not suitable for cold weather but that is not what i bought it for either. I am very happy about it.

Works great as a wind breaker and rain jacket. I wear over a hoody an I am comfortable on a cold 33 degree rainy snowy mid Atlantic winter day. I feel if this were to be worn over a tshirt in warmer weather it would also be comfortable enough to wear on a warmer day as well. Bottom line keeps warm and dry when wearing layers underneath and good lightweight jacket.

I loved the jacket but it wasn't the one I thought I was ordering. I will say, if this was the one with the fleece lining then this would have been an awesome jacket!

I use this keep my dry, layer my sweaters in the colder windier days. I love it, but the only odd downside is that fact it makes more noise than expected. It's comparable to the sound of tarp moving around.

Love it, i'm about 5'6 and it fits pretty well, and it keeps me dry in the rain. It does fit a little boxy though but that's not much of a problem.

I wear for daily bike commute. Works well with different kinds of layers. Nice cardinal red color.

This product is good for keeping you dry in wet weather but you still have to wear something underneath to stay warm

Thinner than expected. Thought it would have a little insulation but only has a thin mesh layer. Still a very nice jacket for rainy days. Runs a little big, son usually wears a mens medium but due to the size chart I ordered a small. Still a little big on him.

Great as a raincoat, outer layer. No warmth to it at all though. Love the sizing. Big enough to accommodate warmer layers.

This is just an everyday rain coat for me but I will try it also as a top layer over a down layer for snow. It has performed well in the rain but no snow to test as of yet. The water just shook right off when I took it off. I just wish it had a breast pocket inside or out.

I should note that the jacket I bought was the original Venture jacket not the Venture 2 jacket. It fit perfectly except for the sleeves which were way too long on an XXL. I have a size 48 chest and on 5'4". Ultimately I had the jacket hemmed by a professional tailor. It's great for wet weather, and the wind doesn't stand up against it. I would definitely suggest this jacket for my taller associates.

This is a great coat for warm or cool climate hiking. The coat fit is too large; I usually wear an XL, but I had exchange it for a L because the XL was HUGE. Like all Northface products, this is a nice coat.
