I purchased this jacket for a water resistant outer layer for spring and fall hikes. Wore on a recent trip to the mountains this summer and it worked great, not just with wet weather, but also for the evening time when the temperatures dropped. It was not cold enough for a fleece but I still needed something to keep the chill off. This jacket was great for that. In the rain, I had no issues with the jacket.

Wanted this for general rain shelter but also take it hiking. Has breathable armpits and adjusted ventilation so you don't get too warm if you're looking to stay cool but also dry. It's a great jacket, layerable, dries quickly I've never gotten wet clothes underneath, the arms are a little long but it works for me because the wrists are adjustable and if you wear a sweatshirt underneath it fills out.

Really keeps you dry while still stylish.

Extremely light, fits true to size, great for rainy/windy days. Very practical for everyday use as well. Amazing quality, and you can't beat the price.

Bought this for summer. My summer weight from another high-end manufacturer wasn't water-proof sufficient. Seems to do the job and good price on sale. If you are in torrential weather: buy gore-tex fabric rain gear.

Great rain shell. Drys quick and lightwieght makes for easy packing.

I got this as a gift for my husband, who had seen several rain coats and rejected them for various reasons. But as soon as he tried this one on, he was in love with it! He was pleased with the quality, stitching, fit and how smart it looked when he wore it.

I use it as an every day coat to wear, because it looks cool and it's very convenient. I've been wanting to buy the coat for quite awhile and was finally able to get it, and I am Very satisfied with it. Worth the price.

Living in the Northeast, I have had to use this jacket several times over the last 2 weeks I have owned it and it is perfect for what I use it for (walking the dog, running errands, etc.) The material is lightweight and I never feel "muggy" or wet even in warm weather rainfalls. I would highly recommend - if it gets colder a light sweater would be perfect underneath.

The venture jacket is so rugged and sturdy in winds, its a jacket that has no replacement. I have loved this jacket over the last few months that I now own three of them in different colors. A good jacket that keeps you dry and breaks the wind. A no brainer.

I wear it everyday, feels good. The adjustment strap on back could be a little longer for larger heads so that it does fall out and hang down when wearing it backwards. Pretty cool how the front panel has a reflective color to it.

Light weight, easy to stuff into a backpack and pull out as needed. Water proof element worked 100% -- I didn't get wet once! Fashionable colors too!

You can't beat this jacket at its price point. I bought this to replace a previous Venture jacket that I had owned for many years. It served me well, but eventually the taped seam on one side split. North Face sent me a gift card to replace it, and I bought the same jacket all over again. Great products and great service.
