Keeps you dry, but not warm. Price is a little high due to this being a higher end Gortex jacket. It's essentially the same as other sub $100 NF jackets, but with a better polymer to keep water out but still retain some breathability.

Purchased along with Apex as everyday jacket. Kept Apex, returned Dryzell. I'm 6'2" 250 and wear 48L off the rack. As a shell, this would function fine. Well made. Fit was large enough for multiple layers in chest. Arms were long. Might have gotten away with XL. Recommended as shell, but like the Apex fit and feel for everyday were.

Specs because it's what usually helps me. I'm 5'10", 195 lbs with an athletic build. (wear a 44R suit. 34" waist) The jacket fits correctly in all aspects on me except the length of the sleeves. The sleeves are too long on me. I have to use the velcro on the cuffs, but this leaves the sleeves bunched. Not a deal breaker. I have yet to test it in heavy rain, but 100% dry feeling in drizzle compared to the venture jacket.

I love this jacket. I use it at work and play. It holds well and feels well made and looks nice enough to wear out in the city.

I wore this jacket fishing in a Bass tournament where it rained ridiculously hard for a long time. The cuffs on the jacket are not very good at keeping water out when ever you are moving your arms around. I also I had my phone in the chest pocket thinking that since I'm staying dry my phone is too. However my pocket had filled up with rain water ruining my phone. I understand that the weather I was in was an extreme case but this is suppose to be a jacket for extreme situations

Weather proof, water poof, its very breathable so it doens't get very hot when you hike. Good in windy weather. Con: The hood covers a lot of the field of view.

This jacket is lighter than I would have guessed, but it still feels warm. I'm very glad I made this purchase. My brother saw this jacket and liked it so much he went and ordered one for himself. The ONLY reason I did not give this 5 stars is because the sizing is off. For the last 10 years I have always worn a medium in shirts and jackets. So that is exactly what I ordered. The jacket was far too big on me and I had to make a trip to a north face retail store to exchange it for a smaller size. The same was true for my brother, he has always worn larges yet the medium I had purchased fit him perfectly. Bottom line, get the jacket in your size and you will not be disappointed.

Great cool weather jacket. Looks good and comfortable to wear. The only complaint I have is that there are no pockets for hands.

Perfect as an outer layer for outdoor activity and works just as well as a middle layer for when I snowboard. The only thing preventing me from giving this 5 stars is that the zipper goes down to my diaphragm. It is a more sensitive area and feeling the zipper base press against it is a bit discomforting. Raise the base of the zipper up 2 inches so it rests on the sternum. As for looks, I've gotten complements on the nice shade of blue color that I got, as well as the fit - not too tight, not too baggy.

This is a great jacket! There's no doubt about that. It was just I was searching for something a little bit thicker then this jacket but this jacket for what it is, is awesome. I love this jacket a whole lot. Now my plan is to get the same version but thicker.

This is more of a casual wear jacket, will not I repeat will NOT hold up with the elements also would recommend wearing a water proof hat with this jacket because the hood will not hold in place and will come off even with light wind

I've had the jacket for about 8 months, and worn in wind and rain. This new "Gore-tex Paclite" fabric is light and looks good, but doesn't seem to keep out rain very well. For example, when I walked in the rain for 10 minutes, the inside of the jacket would get very damp. This has been a problem since day 1, I have not washed the jacket etc. The seams don't seem to be the issue, water seeps through everywhere. My dad's 20-year-old gore-tex does a much better job! Gore-tex paclite seems to be a dud.
