I have purchased many of these hats for me and my husband and have been happy with them. But just like Teresa's review the last one has a crooked bill. It's the rhubarb color. I didn't notice it until I had already worn it so I didn't try to return it. It looks bad but I still wear it for sun protection.

I've been a Headsweats user for over 10 years. OR has them beat. This hat is cooler on a hot day, has a nice fit for my large-ish head, and pulls sweat away far better than previous hats.

I've been wearing the Swift Cap for years. I've become easily recognizable due to my orange Swift Cap. I have used on Mt. Rainier and Mt Baker, and Kings Peak. I love the sun coverage. My only complaint is that I overheat in it very easily. I've thought about cutting the mesh out of the top, and just leaving the sides to see if that make a difference.

High performing and highly functional. The Swift Cap definitely mitigated sun exposure and I appreciated how easily it stayed put during technical runs.

To get to the point, this otherwise lovely hat is simply too small for my heador my head is too big; this is a challenge I have with virtually every hat, and is rather frustrating as 95% of hats are "One Size". This hat would likely fit me if it were only a few inches larger, and I kindly implore the Outdoor Research designers to offer a larger version. Surely there must be others in the same position: great hats within reach, but not within size range. Please make this happen across your line of hats! Thank you!

I have about 5 of these now and they are excellent all around hats. Trucker style hats don't work for my smaller head but these do. The only downsides are they are don't breath as well as some mesh hats so they can be a bit warm in really hot weather, and the brim tends to deform over time, ending up a bit assymetrical. But in spite of that I keep coming back to these because they fit well and are comfortable. They are great for cooler weather runs and hikes.

Great hat, but one size does not fit all. Way too large for a small female. Please offer in sizes for women. Gave away to a friend!

I have been wearing the Swift Caps for many years now (12 years or more?). Lightweight, durable and comfortable. My two criticisms are similar to those of other users: The rear strap latch is very annoying as it comes undone much too easily. Also I have received a few caps with the visor being sewn on poorly resulting in an unwearable cap (Poor quality control). If OR could fix those two issues, the Swift Cap and I could rule the galaxy together like father and son!

Really like the cap. Lightweight. Would be five stars but the clasp is a bit annoying to open/close in a pinch. Mainly as I am often using it to attach cap to outside of my pack when not wearing. Have to stop hiking to concentrate.

This is a great hat. I've worn them for years for work (forester) and play. I ordered the zinger and sunset reflective for their greater visibility. Unfortunately, the "reflective" logo is very dark and barely reflects at all.

Excellent performance. Love it. Exclusive use is backpacking. The only issue is the adjustable strap when shortened for smaller sizes, is too difficult to tuck back in the pocket over itself. Doable but too fussy for my short fat fingers. Someone with arthritis in the hands would have difficulty as well. Not an issue if there is only an inch or so of the excess strap when used with larger head sizes. Over time it will work out and dangle, hitting your neck and bothering you. Not a deal-breaker as happens infrequently. A few slots in the sleeve could help thread the strap through much quicker. Perhaps two sizes S & L would solve the issue.

Fits a little big, going a bit far down my forehead, but is comfortable and does a decent job at keeping sweat out of my eyes, at least for shorter runs.

I love this has for active sports because it is very breathable and extremely light weight. I would give it a five star rating if the buckle would stop coming undone (when off your your head).

Wore this for 11 days straight while backpacking. Dried quickly after rain, although it did drip in my face. The brim looks crooked to the hat so that might be a manufacturer defect but the hat feels good on my head, even if it looks goofy.

great hat, have worn it several times running, doing yard work, just going about town. Super comfy and never feel like my head is overheating. Only thing I wish was different was how tight the locking mechanism was on the strap. I have three of these hats and one of them already has a loose lock which will sometimes come undone (when not being worn - never come undone while worn).

Nice design , good quality and the orange is a great colour, but still too big for my head. I would love to see more size options for female sizes.

I bought it for use under helmets, I love how light weight and easy to use it is. Blocks sun well. The clip in the back tends to come undone too easily and I think I might ductape it shut. I also wish they offered it in a tone of red. Otherwise great hat!

I was hoping this would be the perfect under-helmet hat but alas it doesn't work well for that application. Otherwise great hat for sunny hikes, takes a beating.

This is a great hat. Bought it when looking for a hat with a good sweatband, but isn't just a sweatband. Because I'm not at that point in my life. It does the job well and is my go-to head covering for hiking/boating, etc. Lightweight and packable, it easily clips to your pack when not being used. My only complaint is the adjustment was a bit finicky and sometimes loosened over time, but it looks like they changed that system on the new model. One of the reasons OR is the best.

With one caveat, this is a great cap for four season outdoor activities. In sunny weather, it helps keep me cool: its solid top and bill keep the sun off my head, while the mesh sides allow plenty of airflow. In cold weather, however, it provides a bit of additional warmth. This hat has been on my head in all sorts conditions, including spring running, mid-summer backpacking trips, and a blowing snowstorm on the summit of Rainier.
The one flaw with the hat is the buckle, which depends on tension to keep fastened. This means that it works fine while it's on your head, but cannot be relied on to stay fastened in other situations. I sometimes like to take my hat off and clip it on a carabiner, but this cap kept falling off when I did so. I don't know why there is a buckle at all - I can't think of any reason to unbuckle it, so it is really worse than useless. My solution was to superglue the two halves of the buckle together.
