I use this hat while camping at beach and also while working outside around the house, very good sun protection and breaths well.

Hiking, traveling, sailing and wild life filming this hat covers it all. Well constructed and very well priced for what you get.

Really comfy hat that breathes really well. Not as waterproof as the Seattle Sombrero obviously but still does a great job.

I like the product so much I bought two one for fishing and one for yard work.

I wear this hat daily for work in the field. Typically full sun all day - I have yet to get a sunburn on my face, ears, or neck (even when I forget to wear sunscreen!). It holds up really well in the wind and keeps its shape. The lanyard/strap keeps snug under my chin and this hat stays put even in 30+ mph desert winds. I love the vents on the top - they keep my head cool without sacrificing sun protection.

Had to Seed & Fertilize my mom's yard(5 acres). Was awesome to keep the sun from Frying my neck like it did weeks before. Can't wait to take this on the trails with me.

Great hat. It's held up well in the field and for casual wear. It's not the fastest thing in the world for drying out after rain, but it keeps its shape and doesn't feel soggy. This is the 3rd OR hat I've purchased. I like 'em all.

I USE THIS WHEN IT IS EXTREMELY SUNNY AND HUMID OUT: WHICH IS VERY COMMON HERE IN THE NORTHEAST DURING SPRING/SUMMER MONTHS.IT VENTILATES EXTREMELY WELL AND SHADES YOU FROM THE BLINDING/INTENSE SUN THAT WE SO COMMONLY GET! HATS OFF TO OUTDOOR RESEARCH; BUT IF YOU DON"T MIND I'LL KEEP MINE ON FOR NOW!

Use this when outdoors teaching for long periods of time. No frills and does the job of keeping your noggin and face from getting too much sun.

Love the coverage. I have a large head, and this hat fit great, with a just-snug-enough fit and the top is still loose enough to allow airflow.

Great fit and it is very light but holds up great to the winds in Texas. I use mine because I had sun cancer on my nose and this was my choice.

Use this for personal and professional settings. Does a great job of keeping the sun off my neck. Great at keeping the occasional rain shower off my glasses.

If you take your gear seriously, this hat is worth every penny. Definitely built specifically for the sun... it is light, breathes well, has a full coverage brim that covers your neck thoroughly. Not as good as the venerable Seattle Sombrero (of which I have 3) in a rainstorm, but not too far from the mark. In the Sedona rock in the heat of summer, this thing was indispensable! It also bears mention, MULTICAM. Really great looking and catches compliments galore. Bought mine and the wife HAD to have one. Nicely done OR!

Great hat for beach, pool, and just walking around after a day in the sun. I saw other reviews that the brim is too big, it's not! (If you want a smaller brim.... that's a different hat!)

Excellent hat for sun protection and does not blow off under windy conditions.

I got mine all second hand and i love them. They are perfect for on a wheelchair the strap is wind proof from losing my hat by the wind of passing vehicles. I've not had a sunburn for years.

Bought this hat to replace a 10+ year OR Sombriolet Sun Hat and I'm so happy with the quality of my new hat. I have worn competitive brands and found that their wide brims are too floppy. The Sombriolet Sun Hat brim holds it shape after many washings. Additionally, my head stays cool when the the sun is bright and the temperature is 100+ degrees F.

I wear the Sombriolet hats everyday, and everywhere; I have several, in different colors. Strangers frequently comment about them, and ask where I bought it. I am not from this area, and went unnoticed, for several years, but that instantly changed, when I started wearing these hats. Everyone seems to know me, due to my hat; it's become my trademark. The sun, and heat, are horrendous in Northeast Texas, but these hats make it bearable. They are ultralight, comfortable, and wide-brimmed. They aren't waterproof, but they sure help, when running to the car, in the rain. They clean up easily, with Spray and Wash. The chinstrap is easily removable, and, there is noreal need for it, because there is an adjustable cinch strap on the back, to tighten the fit around your head.

I love the wide brim and how light it is. Cool how the chin strap is removable! It isn't waterproof but that can be easily remedied.
