I bought the same shoe 2 months ago but decided to buy another pair with bigger cleats for walking on gravel. Shoes did not feel the same, too snug at toes and very uncomfortable in arch area. They seemed well made. I am not sure if it is the shoe or my feet as I am generally very happy with Merrell shoes.

I thought these shoes were comfortable, but they also were wider than expected around the toes. Therefore, my foot was slipping and moving while I walked. I returned them :-( I really wanted them to work because I liked the fact that they were waterproof and the sole was comfortable. They were also sturdy enough for the 75 miles I plan to hike in Italy next summer. I like Merrill shoes and I plan to try to find another pair for my hike.

What happened to Merrell's much beloved wide, deep toe box? The scrunchy tight toe box in this model felt like they were made by someone else altogether.

I love the look of this shoe and was told that the Siren collection was the more narrow shoe made by Merrell so I gave it a chance. Alas, the shoe is wide in the heel and the entire foot. It is more narrow in the toe box where more room is needed. Who has that kind of foot? They will be returned.

Bought these because, due to an old foot injury, Q form Merrells work very well for me. This is a review of an older model than is available now (2017 model, bought slightly on sale.) These are a disappointment, however. - Support is 'meh' at best. The toe box is quite wide and, while the arch is ok (not good, just ok), the sole is way more flexible & softer (less supportive) than expected. - Stitching on one shoe began to unravel by the 3rd wearing, so durability is very disappointing.

I wear a 7WW. I bought this in a 7W and a 7.5W (since apparently hiking shoes aren't made in WW). The 7W fit. However, it did not have near the amount of tread as the Vasque hiking shoe i also bought. They fit me about the same. So, as these are supposed to be hiking shoes and not sidewalk shoes, i am returning these. This is why i rated the "style" low. I am not buying a hiking shoe to be stylish, i am buying it to be functional and i expect it to have greater tread. Otherwise i'd just wear my Asics. in comparison to the Merrill Moab 2, which i also tried: I HATED the Moab 2. The shoe was big for its size and even when i went down a half size the arch was in the wrong place in the Moab 2! The arch was also much higher/firmer in the Moab 2 which may be good depending on your foot.
I'd also recommend:
Vasque

Terrible fit! I've had 2 pairs of Siren Sport and have never had a problem with poor fit. These are quite short in length (as others have noted) and oddly all poofy around the ankle and appear very stretched out -- perhaps a customer tried to stretch them, not sure. Really too bad - nice color, nice sale price.

I ordered my usual 7.5 and these were at least a half size too short. The rest of it was not too tight.

Was looking for a Merrell to replace the pair of Merrell hikers I've had for several years and now feel about 1/2 size too small. Unfortunately, this foot bed is nothing like my old pair. Ordered this style in both waterproof & non-waterproof but no difference in the footbed. If the shoe would have been comfortable, the 10.5 would have been the right size.

I needed these quickly after I sprained an ankle and had to wear black sneakers with a suit. I am always 7.5 so I ordered that size. Unfortunately they were very small on me. I think this type of show in general runs small because I needed to go to the mall and I found a similar style with similar material from another brand and I needed an 8.5. I have never worn an 8.5 in my life. So I guess in this type of shoe I need to go big. I'm sure they would have been great if it was the proper fit.

Really nice looking, lightweight shoe, but it ran a bit short for me and the top is cut too high for my ankle. Returned.

This shoe footbed had a strange quality - it was thick on the outside of the foot, as if pushing the foot inward, rather than flat and level as most Merrells are. It is well cushioned on top and I liked the laces quite a bit - it seems like they woulld not come untied. I returned this shoe.

Shoe was much wider than expected, I don't wear narrow shoes. Length of shoe was OK. If I had been able to try these on in a store I wouldn't have purchased them. Just confirms to me that you shouldn't buy shoes online.

I ordered this shoe in the slate black, but it is actually brown. Nice looking, however. I have been buying Siren Sport 2 for years. What happened? The fit is not the same. When I walk, the ball of my foot doesn't feel the same kind of sturdy support, feels like my foot is closer to the ground. Just not comfortable, very different from the Siren Sport shoe I have been wearing for years. I need a lot of sturdy support, so will be returning these.

Really wish I would have read the reviews on this one before buying the shoe. At least a full size smaller than listed. I normally wear a 10, bought a 10.5 to have a little toe space for hiking...but my toes were scrunched to the top of these ones. The inside of the shoe just had a weird feel to it, almost as if they forgot to include the insert. Will be returning. The outer design is nice, but inside...not so nice.

Wonderful looking shoes, but the fit isn't right. I truly want to love these shoes, the are well built, great material and Merrell last but my feet roll inward and creates knee pain. If I focus constantly on my foot placement I can balance my gait but the shoe create supination and so I will have to send them back... Totally bummed

Way too short. I wear a 9 shoe, a 9.5 in gym shoes so my toes have plenty of room, and the 9.5 of these was way too short. The Merrell Siren Edge in a 9 fit me okay (even though I preferred the 9.5 in the Edge). Order a full size larger than you normally wear...my toes were so cramped in a 9.5, I'm not sure even the 10 would give me enough room.

I normally wear a size 9 so ordered a 9 1/2. Sadly, I returned the shoes as they were simply too small. Low Rating as I wasn't able to judge the overall comfort. I went to a retailer where I could try on different styles and sizes to be sure of the fit. Ended up with Merrell Women's Moab 2 Ventilator in size 9 1/2.

I am fed up. I have many, many pairs of Merrell shoes. All size 9.5. The last 2 pair I ordered are too small - but not obvious until after I've worn them and cannot return them. Meanwhile, I ordered a pair of ballet flats in 9.5 and they are huge on me. I'm done shopping online. Sizing is too inconsistent : (

One of the shoe lace holders on the side came off the second time I wore the shoe. Not at all expected in what is marketed as a rugged or hiking shoe.
