I have problems looking for a walking/hiking shoe. I have bunions, tend to over pronate, and will develop tendinitis in the side arch area if I get too much support/pressure there or not enough support. These shoes work for me! They run true to size and I bought the wide width although I often go with medium width. I put in my custom inserts and off I went on nearby trails. Very comfortable and so far my feet feel good after my walk. I also own the Siren Edge but find they do no help my over pronation and my friend plans to take them.

I did not purchase my first pair from Zappos but am definitely getting another pair here because I fell in love with these shoes (and want more colors for free shipping)! I simply went up 1/2 size and they were perfect right out of the box even to the point that I was confident enough to wear them during a 2 hour dog agility training class. I came home without sore, throbbing feet so I consider these a score! I am 64 with a wider than average foot (however W shoes are sometimes too wide for me), average height & weight but over the years have blown all the cartilage out of the TMT joint in my foot. The soles of my feet are also very thin skinned. The arch support pushing up on my metatarsal is just want I needed. In addition the shoe soles were not quite as stiff as a regular hiker so the grip was perfect for running and stopping.

Loved the look but they were too short. My big toes kept hitting the front.

These shoes were not for me. I am flat-footed since birth, and wearing these shoes with the massive arch support made me feel completely off balance. Additionally, they were too short though I ordered the same size I wear in the old Merrell Siren Sport (which I loved and sorry to see "retired"). I also didn't care for the overall styling---the shoes looked very large/wide even on my quite narrow feet. Some may love these shoes, but I didn't. I'm very grateful for Zappos uber-fast shipping and return policies.

These are cute as can be but too small in my usual size, so I returned for a pair 1/2 size up - only to find still too tight on left foot! My big toe presses against the inside of the toe guard. I think that due to the guard on these they are running small; my other Merrell shoes fit more true to size. I'm returning as I don't want to go to 9.5. Too bad....

I have been hiking/backpacking for over 50years. I've gone from heavy duty stiff soles boots to tennis shoes and this boot is by far the best I've worn. Plenty of room in the toe box after I put in my orthotics & linnet!
I've carried fairly heavy packs for 7-10 days trips and the support and flexibility of this shoe is fantastic. I wasn't sure about the waterproofing initially because my feet felt hotter than usual but now I am so glad I have it! The shoe is also much lighter than most hiking boots so you're not carrying around extra weight I hike almost daily ... this is my third pair. Will be hiking in panama soon and guess what will be in my luggage. These boots!

I have been wearing Merrells for a long time and these didn't disappoint. The olive green color is really cool! In some lights it looks gray and in others the green comes out. These are unique shoes without being overly flashy. I also like that you can remove the insoles so you can use your own. prosthetics

I ordered from 3 different brand websites looking for a comfortable shoe with a wide box to fit. I need a special modification to my shoes and need a great shoe to start with. After receiving all three pairs, the Merrell Siren Sport was by far the most comfortable and best fit. ARch support in the correct place--not all have that, cushioned just enough and roomy toe. Not too heavy of a shoe, but lots of tread for traction. I"m now looking for another Merrell pair for back up.

I bought these for my daughter, we walk/hike a rough rocky terrain, the shoes were comfortable right out of box and do what they are built for, she loves them.

I usually wear a Merrell 6 but these ran small. Ordered 6.5, these are keepers.
Aso tried a few other styles, but these make my feet happiest.

I have a lot of problems with my feet & have tried just about anything you can think of with no avail. The representative was excellent in recommending these fabulous shoes, I seriously dreaded taking them off lol. If you're looking for fashion & comfort this is it, I immediately ordered another pair different model, perhaps my luck continues & they are as comfortable as these!!!!!

This shoe is so comfortable. It offers just enough support. Great for light hiking, walking the dog, everyday wear. This is my go to shoe until my Merrell sandals come out for summer.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me correctly. This shoe is amazing. The comfort and fit is perfect! I have a narrow heel and the shoe grabs and hugs my heel and no more slipping. The inside sole keeps my foot steady and in place. I could wear these every day all day. Best shoe ever!

Awesome shoe. I have a small foot with high arches and found these shoes to be a perfect fit. (I bought the regular width.) The day after they arrived I took them for a hike in the San Bernardino mountains and they were both stable on the trail and comfortable on the foot. Okay, they’re not the flashiest shoe around, but I’m more into function and fit than fashion. It was my first Merrell purchase; it won’t be my last.

This shoe could not be nicer for my fussy feet, it's the only style I have found that I can spend all day in and still feel good while walking. Please don't ever discontinue this style

Bought for my daughter. She has wide feet. Wide shoes were a comfortable fit. Olive is a nice color. I have had many Merril's. I typically wear 7 1/2 but always a 7 in Merrils.

I’ve has these for a little over a year now and they’ve held up great - bought them for a trip to Washington State where I did a lot of long day hikes and wore them right out of the box. Also wore them to Glacier National Park and the White Mountains so they’ve covered a lot of different terrain and I never felt like I was wearing inadequate shoes. They don’t have as much grip as traditional hiking boots on wet rocks for example but they’re also much lighter and make it easier to move quickly. They’re definitely sturdier than regular sneakers.

Had a similar pair of awesome Merrells a few years ago that were with me while I trekked through South Africa. Got these for an upcoming month travelling across Europe. They feel great so far!!

Great shoes. I have old feet that need good support and that discourage pronation. These were light but sturdy. I found the slate color attractive. As other reviews mention, they run small so I ordered the wide in a half a size larger and they fit perfectly and with ample toe room.
