I wear a size 10 in every shoe I own. My big toe in these hits the inside tip of the shoe, even with thin socks. Interestingly, I also purchased the Bravado 2 and it fits perfectly, even with thicker athletic socks. The cushioning seems to also be lacking in the toe box.

I needed a new pair of these and to my surprise they were not a comfortable as an older pair I have. I think the sole is much too firm, no cushioning, so my feet ache in these a bit. Probably won't buy again. Both shoes have also developed wear tears on the inner side, possibly where my heal rubs when I walk, although I don't notice it.

Sizing runs 1/2 size small. I wear 8.5 or 9 women's shoe. Bought size 9 Merrill's. My big toe hits the front of the shoe with just thin socks on. Can wear for short walks, but for serious day-long hikes that I bought them for, I will get blisters once my feet warm up with No toe room to breathe. Sad.

Toooo wide! I think as hoping for a wide forefoot area but these were wide all throughout shoe. Had to return.

The shoe seemed to fit ok - I only tried on the right one. I did not like the fact that the area between the suede going across the top and the black toe cap the material puffed up. It had a very strange look to it. I am not keeping the shoes - great sale price but I like to love new shoes.

Too wide
I have a pair from years ago and wanted these so much but they must have changed the template-/ even with heavy socks they’re wide.

These shoes are made well but they are hard on my feet. Working to find an insert to make them a little more squishy for better comfort. I walk 3-4 miles most days. I wish I could say I love them as much as I do my previous Merrill's.

I really like how this shoe looks before it is on my foot. I do have wide feet and high arches & order my usual size 8W. The toe box is roomy, but height-wise vs. width-wise, affecting the look of the shoe....it was obvious. The top of the toe seemed to be "inflated" or something...hard to describe. I'd say length was at least a 1/2 size larger than expected. Very cushioned around the ankle, but that give caused my sock to be sucked into the shoe when walking. Arch support is better than most shoes, even without an additional insert. At first they felt comfy right out of the box, but after about 10 minutes walking quickly in the house, I could feel that my pinky toe was not happy...maybe the padding should be in the toe box? Anyway, good price, but fit not for me. Sending them back.

Buying hiking shoes is always a nightmare for me. When I do find a pair I like, they're always discontinued. These were the best I could find, and I still got terrible hot spots and blisters on the insides of my heels and the balls of my feet. To combat this, I have to lace them so tightly the laces fray and sometimes the nerve on top of my foot is unhappy. i eventually found a lacing pattern that worked, but I miss my Salomons. These are my backup/trash hikers while I save my Salomons for the Grand Canyon. But they have lasted a long time! I've had them for a year and worn them in so much mud and they're still hanging on, so props for that.

Nice shoe but they were returned. I have a wide, flat foot and these the Moab's didn't suit me at all.

I was looking for a lite hiking shoe for the summer. the ones I received were a bit stiff and too narrow in the toe box. I could not get my foot in with medium socks. I also have bunions that were hitting the edge of the shoe. will try the wide version next time.

The size was true, but the fit was not for me. The arch hit me in the wrong place. I have flat feet.

I broke the shoes in for 2 weeks before the hike. Still uncomfortable and hard on my feet. No cushion.

Orthodics fit comfortably for awhile. Then the Merrell insoles broke down and allowed tge orthodics to cut grooves into them, which felt lije socks balled up under my feet. Wish I could buy replacement Merrell insoles as the rest of tge shoe is in excellent condition. A shame that I can't continue to wear them until they are truly wore out.
I did purchase generic insoles to use with my orthodics but they are not as comfortable as the original Merrell insoles.

Love these for walking the dog and hiking. Havent had them more than 4 months and the fabric has started to fray on the top of shoe. Hoping this doesnt progress to the fabric breaking down further. The other reason I lower the rating is that when slipping my foot into the shoe the back of the shoe bends into the shoe and wont straighten on its own. Uncomfortable and adds to the time it takes to get the shoes on. Wish I could just slide my foot in easily.....

Great quality shoe. Exactly as described except when one is purchasing online, the sizing is crucial. This shoe was described as true to size when it should say, "runs larger than normal ". Unfortunately, I leave for Maine to hike Acadia and won't have time to return my shoes. If I did, it leaves me without hiking shoes.

BUT... I seem to have some issues w/my recent 2 pair of MOAB for women. The waterproof? You should purchase a half size larger. The regular MOAB? I've had some plantar fasciitis issues w/my new pair since I switched from my "winter" boots. The boots were fine! No problem. But, with my new MOAB sneakers... horrible. Anyone else? Have they changed the footbed?????? I am horrified!

I like a big toe box but the space in these is huge. I wear several styles of Merrells and an 8 always fits. Until these.

The inserts are thin and offer NO support!!! I had to purchase inserts with support. For such a high quality shoe, this should not be necessary.

I've gotten more than one pair of these. Toe box is good for me. Feels good. No need to break in. Light feeling. I like low cut hiking shoes. These are mine!

I have been wearing (and loving) the Moab for many years. This time I ordered 8W (to accommodate my older and maybe a bit wider foot). It isn't wider than my 8M's (I measured the bottom of both).Worst of all, the shoes squeak! I tried cornstarch and switching the insoles. This makes me think the quality and/or design has changed. I did keep the shoes because my local shopping options are very limited. Otherwise, I would have returned them.

They Seem like they have a lot of good padding, but just didn't fit my feet well.Just not my jam.
I have a really bad plantar fasciitis And these were recommended to me. BUT THESE actually felt like they made the issue worse. So I sent them back, and had excellent customer service when returning them!

My heels and ankles feel well supported, but arches, not so much. There's a void where I would expect some support.

I wanted to love these but they're just okay. They kept my foot sturdy with plenty of traction. on rocks and mud but they could use more cushioning in the sole. My feet were hurting shortly into a hike. I do struggle with plantar fasciitis so I do not recommend these shoes for this condition, despite the reviews and googled lists and recommendations.
