I was pleased with the immediate comfort I felt when trying on my new Merrell Moab Ventilators. They are constructed well, and my size 9 feet fit perfectly in the shoes. My only "con" is due to a personal matter, which is plantar fasciitis, - these shoes did not give me enough arch support. I was forced to purchase a different insole which could give me the strengthened arch support I required - now I'm ready to hike in my new Merrells!

These shoes were not quite wide enough for my wide feet but they were otherwise comfortable.

Yep, they're still the go to shoes for comfort and support. I prefer those without the "dry" which are lighter. They wear out faster than I like but while they're new they're the shoe I go to for trails.

Merrell does not disappoint with these shoes! Solid comfort and enough style too.

This is a sturdy, well-built shoe that feels like an all-terrain vehicle with knobby tires. Tons of room in the generous toebox yet it laces up snugly around my high-arched narrow foot. I look forward to wearing these in the garden or on a trail. The deep sole has plenty of cushion without feeling squishy. I found this model true to size.

With the name "ventilator," I expected a cool shoe for summer. Although it is a very comfortable shoe, I would describe it as insulated. My feet got hot, which has not been the case in other Merrell boots. I plan to save them for winter now and expect they will become my favorite winter boots.

I wore these on my trip to Sequoia National Park last week. They worked well on slippery surfaces and I wore them white water rafting knowing they would get wet. To my surprise they dried super fast. I do not like the shoe laces, they don't stay tied!

This is a sturdy shoe and wide enough for my foot, even with orthotic inserts. It wears a little stiff, which I hope will go away once I break them in. Hope to be hiking in Utah in these with out foot issues!

I like the wide toe box on the Merrill Moab 2 Vent, but the heel is also very wide--so wide it pulled my socks down under my arch in just a brief test walk on living room carpet. Very heavy wool socks might not pull down under a narrow heel, but I'm a summer hiker. If your heels are wide as well as your toes, this shoe could be a good fit.

I bought these in advance of a vacation that would involve a lot of hiking/biking. They fit well and are really comfortable. I haven't been on the vacation yet, so I can't give a complete review until after that, but I'm optimistic that I won't be disappointed.

Very supportive right out of the box, probably won’t even need insoles. True to size fit for an athletic shoe, I typically wear 6.5 in flats and sandals and 7 in sneakers and these were better in the 7. Very sturdy and definitely supportive enough for warm weather hiking.

...I'm happy with the look of the shoe ...there is lots of toe room ...I find that I'm hard to fit. This shoe fit a bit big and I almost returned, but I'm glad I didn't. The shoe gives me room to wear thick sport socks which I like for those extra long treks. I get good stability which is helpful while walking by 3 1/2 yr. old Belgian Shepherd. He's still alot of puppy! ...I'm early 60's, 5'2",and ordered 8W

These are fairly comfortable, but wow are they ugly. I felt like a hobbit or something. If I simply wanted to use these for hiking I would probably have kept them, but I want to use them for work and don't want to look like a big tree, so back they went.

This is my second pair of Merrell MOAB Ventilators. I wore my first pair until they were no longer supportive and just replaced them. I've worn these shoes for a few days to run errands and to work, and so far, they feel a bit tight. I don't remember a long break in period with the pair I bought 2.5 years ago, but I might not have noticed. Either way, I'm hoping/expecting these to get more comfortable in the next few wears and be a great shoe for a few years.

This was my second choice of hiking shoe after the Siren Hex, but I'll be keeping this shoe because it fit my foot better. It works great, feels great on dirt trails and turf. I thought it was too inflexible and hard for paved trails. I have an extremely high arch and the shoe supported me just fine. After two days of mild hiking, (4 miles on day 1 and 6 miles day 2), my feet did not hurt.

I got these shoes after I tried 3 other pairs all but one returned due to not fitting properly. The one not returned was worn outside before I realized m mistake. They were donated to a men's shelter. This shoe was ordered in my usual size 10.5. my left foot is a 10 and right is ,11. And 2A width. Again I wore the shoe in the house for a few hours. It seemed to be ok, then I went outside and wore them to work. My feet were flip flopping around to the point my knees, heel and hips were becoming painful. The toe box is very roomy, and the mesh seems to give more than I'm used to. I should have ordered the size 10 instead of my usual 10.5. I do not believe the shoe is at fault, it's my crazy size feet. It's a great looking shoe and seemed comfortable until worn for a few days. I love Merrell and have an 8 year old pair of hiking boots. I will have to find store that has a good selection of Merrell shoes so I can try the fit.

These offer good wiggle room in the toe box but are loose in the heel--a typical problem for me. I like the color. They weigh a little more than I'd like, though. Returning.

I have other Merrell trail shoes that fit just right so I ordered the same size, my foot floats in these. We went out of town and I had to use them.

You can feel the soft cushioning as soon as you put them on. No break in time needed at all. They’re flexible, but sturdy. Bit big on the toe box, got a lot space to wiggle my toes.

The fit is perfect and the sizing was true. Amazing support in heel, arch and super roomy toe box. I bought them for work at a shipyard (when not wearing steel toes) thinking they were more like sneakers for work. They are much higher profile heel wise than expected, much more a hiker than a sneaker. I will keep them and likely wear them for along time tho. I walk the drydock at lunch every day and I have no foot pain, also seems to cushion my knees as I am no spring chicken.

I have a hard time finding hiking boots to fit my wide feet. The last pair I bought (also Merrell in wide) were tight on my toes and the lining wore down on the insides after a while. These seems to fit better, with more room in the toe box. However, I ordered another pair because there is a loose thread inside one of the shoes, and one of them feels slightly higher than the other (could be my imagination). I'm going to try another pair and see if they feel different. Also, the lining seems thin and not very durable to me, so I might end up with the same problem of the lining wearing through with these shoes as well. I will probably stick with these, regardless, because it's so hard to find a boot that fits. (P.S. I haven't hiked in these yet, so the review could change.)

I fit into the old Merrell Siren Sport and replaced them every year. There were great reviews about the Moab, so I gave these a try. They felt far too wide - I wondered if they had been marked wrong. I loved the color, but unfortunately they are not for me.

I have a little toe that always begin to squeak and then scream on longer hikes. I do not have wide feet but I thought I would try a wide size for a change. I have not heard a single peep out of my little toe in these hiking boots. My feet feel comfortable but not sliding around in the shoes at all. I always wear good socks due to this rocky and and often unstable desert terrain. I appreciate the good arch support .
