I did this cool trip with my family and Uncle who is an explorer to Africa. We were in all types of terrain and conditions and these boots preformed amazingly! My Uncle who has been around the world and thru all conditions recommended these to us and he was so right... Awesome!

I wear 13 W and struggle to find shoes that have a wide enough toe box to fit comfortably. These are great. Comfortable out of the box. Haven't done any hard trekking in them yet, but very comfortable for a day around town.

Boots fit perfect and are nice and breezy. Keeps my feet from sweating too much. I would buy another pair.

Got these to replace previous pair. Fits great, very comfortable for all day use.

I am three years post planter fasciitis and 18 months post broken foot. These are the most comfortable shoes I own. They are the only hiking shoes that feel good when I put them on and stay that way throughout the entire hike. I hope to be able to purchase this style forever.

This is the third time I have purchased this same item. They are comfortable, long lasting, rugged and look good after much use. I use them for everyday wear, work wear and a lot of hiking. They are great looking and I wear them everywhere.

I've been wearing the Moab probably since they were invented. This shoe is my only shoe I'll wear. It's cool enough (temperature wise) to wear in the hottest of deserts and it does fine in cold weather too, though it's obviously not a snow/ice boot. My size (10-1/2 mens) is always right on and consistent. The Vibram sole is a lifesaver. I think that's why I tried these the first time so many years ago. These soles will not slip - until you wear them out. I' don't know how many hundreds (thousands?) of miles I've hiked/walked in Moabs, but I know it's way too many to keep track of. I hope Merrill keeps making this shoe forever cuz it's the only one I'll be buying. I hope others will buy this shoe too so it stays popular- so Merrill keeps on making it. Absolutely a great shoe/boot.

This product fits my needs perfectly. The boots are comfortable to use the first time you put your feet in them. The Vibram sole grips all terrain well including rocks, soft dirt, sandy washes, and scree. Toe shield is fine. I typically get 450-500 miles from a pair and generally hike 50 miles per month, usually 5-10 mile day hikes, occasionally up to 18 miles with up to 5000 feet of elevation gain in mountain and desert terrain..

Bought these to replace a pair of Pulsate Ventilators that ruined with road tar!! I alternate wearing them with another pair of Merrell's for my two mile walk (each way) to my office. Couldn't do it without them.

Superb grips. Best shoes for hiking and comfort. Very minimal break-in time. If price is right, I would get another pair for casual wearing.

Excellent for just about everything but dancing! I have 5 other pairs of Merrill shoes.

I was very pleased at the construction versus the Leigh's weight design.

This is the second pair of these shoes my husband has had! The first pair (an older version of the one we bought) lasted him for over 8 years! I bought this one for him for his birthday, and he loves them! The fit was perfect. He loves how comfortable they are and how well they work!

I purchased a black pair of these Moabs last year before taking a trip to Costa Rica. I needed shoes that, on the one hand, I could use on hikes through the forest and up the side of a volcano, and on the other hand, that I could use when I needed to present myself in more professional settings. These shoes did the trick. They are comfortable, breathe reasonably well, and the tread has not worn down as rapidly as it does on my other shoes. They are not water-proof of course, as the Costa Rican rains made clear. I wore them more recently on a four-week trip to Cabo Verde. No worry about rain there! But sand and cobblestones and hill-climbing were an issue. Nonetheless, they held up very well. I will be going back to Cabo Verde for five months and decided to get a spare pair as a back-up because, for some reason, Merrell doesn't have a store there!

This is my third pair of these shoes. They fit perfectly right out of the box exactly to size listed. Put them on and they feel the same as those that had been worn for weeks.

Sized exactly right, this shoe is cool and comfortable to wear for walking and hiking. Since I live in central Arizona, that means something. So good I'm going to order another pair!
