I put these hikers to the test June 23 - 26 doing day hikes in Yosemite and I am super pleased with the support and traction. The Vibram soles are a huge plus with their traction especially during dry conditions with lots of sand and steep grades. Next pair will be waterproof and mid ankle for extra support.

Very comfy, this is my second pair of Merrell's Shoes and comfy as the first pair, I will be wearing these all day. Very good grip too cause I am outside walking a lot and feet never get tired. This is my go to shoe company from now on. wish I had head of Merrells years ago.

Love this hiking shoe. They fit perfect right out of the box. No break-in. I not only wear them when trail hiking but also every day to work.

I used these to hike into and out of the Grand Canyon-South Kaibab Trail. I made it out with happy feet-no bunion aggravation, no sore feet and no blisters (too bad a foot massage is not included in their purchase!). Really love these shoes!!!

always thought i had to have big clunky shoes, these are like wearing walking shoes! shoes got wet all the time but with the right kind of socks it was never a problem. i am sold!

This is my second pair of these shoes, and I only needed them to keep my professional look at work. My first pair are still going strong as work shoes for around the shop, but it took two years and many city and country miles to get there. Being covered in marine paint they still are going strong every day.

Last year I was involved in an accident that left me with a severe ankle injury...six broken bones,, and an open fracture..two operations. I developed some foot issues also. These are the only shoes I can wear that allows me to continue my outdoor activities.. Fishing...long walks. I can stand for a longer time while fishing in my boat... I highly recommend these shoes if you have foot or ankle problems.

Well built. This is the most I have spent on any shoes (besides dress shoes). Love the style, fit, and comfort. I just wore them in and am taking them hiking soon.

Great traction. Firm insoles protect feet well but make the shoe feel hard.

Top notch fit and comfort. Feel feel secure and stable throughout the day.

I love my Merrells. I live in these and replace them every 6 months or so. They fit my narrow foot, offer great support, are very comfortable and function for general knock around shoes as well as serious walking shoes. My only complaint is that the tread picks up gravel, which I tend to track into the house, but not much to be done about that other than wiping your feet.

Comfortable, good support, great for hiking on rocky trails.

These are very comfortable shoes, my wife's shoes are really stiff, but mine didn't come like that. Really good for trail walking.

My second pair. They look great and take me from client appointments to the trail with confidence and comfort. Love them!

I have purchased 4 pair in the last few years. I hike the rocky Appalachian trail in Pennsylvania regularly. I am extremely hard on footwear. These Moabs really take the abuse. I swear by the Vibram soles on wet rocks and other trail surfaces. The bottoms are just hard enough to help you when cross hard sharp edges. Easily my favorite shoe.
