I had to return them. I wore Merrells exclusively for many years. A few years ago I noticed the toe box of Merrells getting more and more narrow. I can no longer wear Merrells. I had hoped these Moab wide width shoes would be different but once again, the toe box was not wide enough.,

I used to be able to just buy new Moabs every year or so. The fit was consistent. Not anymore. Very disappointing. Infuriating, really.

I ordered these wide shoes but they fit very narrow and really hurt my feet. I am a size 9 wide, and have comfortably fit many other shoe types that are 9W. I ordered these and sadly they crushed my feet. Having worn them once I feel stuck since I can't return them, but they definitely don't fit as expected for the size I ordered.

I bought these a month ago, I wear them about a 1 to 2 hours a day to walk my dogs. We walk in town on paved streets and sidewalks, not rough terrain. The shoes are very comfortable, but unfortunately, they are already falling apart! The toe tips are pulling apart from both shoes. I debated between Merrell or Keen hikers, I'm disappointed that I chose these shoes, I've had some trouble with Keen's after a year of use, but these didn't last a month.

DO NOT BUY if you want your shoes actually WATERPROOF. They are priced for waterproof shoes but the truth is, their waterproofing will fail in six months or less. I have two pairs and both will become completely soggy and drenched in water in a couple of months, when I merely walk over low wet grass in the morning (not even tall rain soaked trails or creeks). That completely defeats the purpose of buying these shoes. They are very comfortable, not very good looking, but with failed waterproofing, I will never buy them again.

I bought this shoe 2 years ago to use as supportive travel/light hiking shoe. The first time I wore it out for a level walk on a lake path. Within 5 minutes, the left shoe raised a terrible blister on my heel. I noticed that there was a hard piece of plastic pushing into a seam on the left heel of the shoe. Thought it might break in, or be wearable with the right sock. Nope. I’ve worn for quick trips to the grocery store, neighborhood walks etc. a handful times, plenty enough of the shoe to be broken in. Tried to wear again today on a walk around my neighborhood with the same result: major heel rub and blister after 5 minutes. This shoe cannot be broken in—it’s just broken. Time to cut my losses and find another hiking shoe. Merrills used to make great hikers. However, their quality has really tanked these last several years. Look elsewhere.

The wide width was not wide enough. Additionally, the shoes that I received had an awful smell - like mildew. Horrible. This combo of issues made them unwearable.

Instead of cancelling my order, they sent a shoe that was the wrong size as well as the wrong color. I am not happy. Sent it back.

I love Merrells and recommend them to everyone. I'm going on a hiking trip in May and bought a new pair of these. The tongue is so big it creates folds that bulge out under the tongue and rub against the top of my foot. I'm so disappointed. I thought if I wore them a few times I would break them in, but it is NOT comfortable especially on my right shoe. Is there something I can do with the tongue to prevent this from happening. Very disappointing. What happened to the quality of Merrell shoes?

There is a design flaw in the shoe that results in the webbing that connects the shoe tongue to the side to bunch up; the thick stitching on that now bunched up connecting piece pressed on the tops of my feet so badly that I couldn't wear these for more than 20 minutes. Very disappointing as my previous Merrell's were like a dream to wear. Would recommend against buying this version.

They are too small. I have numerous size 11, this 11 is too small. Haven't worn them. Wish I could trade for size 11.5 or 12. Love all my other Merrill's

Run short (width is ok). I'd exchange them if there wasn't such a short window for returns/exchanges. :(

The fit was great and initially they were completely waterproof. That is no longer the case. After 14 months, my feet get soaking wet when I walk in wet grass with my dogs. Pretty disappointing given the price of these shoes.

Bought these shoes in the Spring of this year. Up till recently it's been very dry. Now the the rains have started and to my disappointment these shoes are not waterproof. My husband has regular Moab 2 shoes (at least his 5th pair of them). When we walk/hike in the wet, his feet stay dry, mine get wet. Very disappointing!

I am 71 years old and have travelled the world for most of my life, visiting some 30 countries and always in my Merrell hiking boots. The first time I have ever had a problem with a pair of Merrell’s has really been quite a rude awakening when a company that manufactures such great shoes can have such piss poor customer service. I will certainly post wherever possible my experience with Merrell when a manufacturing defect rendered the shoes useless and Merrell did nothing to rectify the problem.

I have owned seven pairs of this shoe but never again. The last pair was defective. The soles were not properly bonded and delaminated within the first month.

Sorry but I threw them in the trash can. One shoe was ok but the left was misshaped inside and the material was just horrible. Don't get me wrong I have 2 pair of the moab 2 and love them on my feet :) The waterproof one suck though!

I bought these waterproof hiking sneakers in preparation for a trip out West. I tried them on when I first got them but did not walk around in my carpeted house so I didn't yet notice the uncomfortably high arch. I tried them on right before my trip and decided the arch was too uncomfortable...I tried to return these brand new sneakers never worn out of my house but it was past the 30 day return policy. NOT HAPPY!!!! Up until now I had been a huge fan of Merrell shoes and sandals. This experience changed my loyalty to this brand.

I have been a Merrell fan for a very long time, so I regret that I have to say I am very disappointed in this latest pairs of hikers. I ordered size 8.5, and I have never had any trouble before with any of my Merrell purchases, but my toes keep hitting the front when I am walking, and I really cannot wear the shoes for long without discomfort. Of course, I cannot return them now that I have worn them, but it makes me hesitant to order shoes on-line again. I should have ordered up (a size 9), I guess, but I had always been satisfied before.

I bought two different moab 2 styles and this one was smaller. This is the color and weight I liked. How can two different moab 2 styles say they are the same size and actually be this different?

I usually wear a size 7 and bump up to 7.5 in athletic shoes. I ordered these Merrell in size 7.5. At first they were ok but now they are killing my feet. Feels like my toes don't have enough room and I have pain on the top of both feet after wearing. After only wearing around 12 times, I can't wear them anymore. Too much pain.
