I felt it was too narrow across the forefoot for my feet. I tried on something like 14 pairs of hiking boots for the “low” height hiking boots I need. It seems many ladies who have wide feet find boots like these in a wide size to indeed still be too narrow in the forefoot or tow box — yet too wide in the heel. I wish Merrel and Keene and some of the other shoes I used to enjoy, and indeed even dress shoes, would realize that ladies with wide feet rarely need a wide heel area because in sizing up to get it wide enough, they slip up and down off of one’s heel (Which gives a hiker blisters) . But I DID finally find one at 2:30 a.m. last night trying on shoes for hours in my living room for my 4th shipment of options: the big winner ladieS, for me, was the Mantra by Vasque, and if you need waterproof the Mantra GTX (as in Gortex), which came in second place but the non-wateroroof one is more supple and comfortable if you don’t have time for a break-in period. You can check out those reviews too!

Just purchased my 4th pair of Merrell Moab 2 wp J06026. The fold of the fabric on both sides of the tongue is too thick & very hard material. The fold does not lay flat which caused bruising on the top of both my feet. I have tried different ways to lace & tightness. Does not help! So disappointing & uncomfortable. I'm wearing my old shoes that I have worn the soles down, but the fold is soft & fold upward. What can I do?

I bought these for walking outdoors in winter in Minnesota. I was hoping they would be warm, waterproof and comfortable. But no they are not comfortable. Very little arch support. Even with my orthotics my foot turned in and hurt- from walking maybe 3 minutes in the house. They are attractive for this type of shoe, and seem sturdy and well made. also they seem run a bit small- length and width. The 9 wide was snug and pressed down on my big toe. Back they go.

Shoes are waterproof which is why I ordered them. They may be fine for Serious Hiking on rough terrain, but not so much for less challenging walks in wet fields and on rainy roads. They are very stiff, like wooden clogs--as a result, their heels rubbed my own heels sore.

I also had to go a full size up. Doesn’t make much sense to me that sizing is all wrong. Was so irritated that decided did not want to support product.

Merrell has been my favorite for comfort and fit, but disappointed in the change in style of my Siren Edge from 3 years ago that I absolutely loved. Some of the new colors are just too bold for me. I lean to gray w/a bit of color. This Moab 2 has a nice soft material and color would have worked but it was much too bulky of a shoe for what I need, especially for summer. Looking for something more comfy for walking and not so heavy. My old Siren had more of a tennis shoe feel but a hike look.

The shoe was heavy and bulky off the foot and even more so after putting it on. Arch support was not under the arch area but back into the heel of the shoe. Returned.

Had trouble putting the shoe on. The shoe was too small in both length and width. The shoe was ordered in a wide fit.

I have been wearing Merrell light hikers for years and loved the roomy toe and springy foot bed. They appear to have changed their basic construction. The foot bed is flat, like walking on boards, and the toe area is tight. After a recent easy 5 mile hike in these, my big toe was bruised, my little toes irritated, and my feet swollen. I will be looking for a new brand for my next pair of walking shoes.

I was very disappoint in the comfort of theses shoes. the balls of my feet actually hurt. I can't imagine what it would be like to hike in them. I had Merrell shoes before and loved them; but these are a big FAILURE.

So disappointed in MERRELLS shoes these days. I have worn a pair of these supposedly same Moab hiking shoes for the last 5 years and I wore them out so needed to replace. . The old ones were comfortable right out of the box. These are hurting my feet, at too tight I places, loose in one heel and too tight on the other?? How weird is that. Now I have a blister on the right heel from my first outing with them.

Really bad design for Wide Width - don't bother. This isn't a true wide shoe, one designed to be a wide width. I order 6.5D and 6.5W shoes all the time with no issues. Instead of designing a true wide with, this one just has a fabric patch between the "saddle" and the "tongue" , so that there isn't a gap showing when you put on the shoe. Otherwise, this is just a regular width shoe with a patch. Also, the shoe on grows weirdly wider as it goes towards the ankle, because the toe area isn't wide width. I am very disappointed in the design, especially for the price. The entire shoe should be designed wider, not just a sad patch. Merrill needs to try again, and do wide widths right!!

Unfortunately it was not water proof at all. I only walked in damp grass on my hike and my feet were soaked. I loved the style and feel. Very good support and tread but not waterproof.

This is my go to shoe. I have a high arch and need the wide width. It rains a lot here so I always wear waterproof.

These are wonderful shoes. They're very comfortable even after a long day. There's great arch support, plenty of toe room and good traction.

Great hiking shoes! Hiked partially snow covered trail in Banff, BC, CA and had no trouble with my footing and the waterproofing kept my feet dry.

I use my Moab 2 Waterproof shoes mainly for walking. We have some inclined sidewalks through out our neighborhood, so I need good shoes for traction, especially during wet weather. They are comfortable, have good arch support and traction soles. Look good too! I purchased size 10 M in black and pink. Fit true to size.

Presentable when paired with dress paints, or perfect for the trail. Comfortable wear throughout my recent trip to the Rockies.

MOABS is the only shoe I can wear with my orthotics. When I'm not sleeping, my feet are in my Merrelles. These shoes provide the best support, I just wish I could dress up with them.
