Merrell Moab’s have a decent amount of room in the toe box, and a narrow heel. The shoes are waterproof and your feet will never be tired with the Vibram sole featuring a lot of traction. Perfect for trails, or just about anything. I never want to take mine off, and have more than one pair. True to color, comfort, and size.

These are the only shoes I buy for winter time wear. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and Merrill shoes are the only ones that are comfortable for me. They keep my feet warm and dry without becoming sweaty. I would recommend these shoes to anyone. Great colors to choose from but I usually buy “granite”. The shoes look good casual or a little more dressed up.

First day wearing them, and they are extremely comfortable and warm on a cold wet day. Very satisfied.

Very firm support all around. Was an exact fit for my 7.5 foot. The toe box fits my particular foot without squeezing unlike the Merrell Alverson where the toe box was too large and made my feet slide. If your feet are even a tiny bit on the narrow side, you probably will like this shoe in the medium width. So far my legs don't get as tired when I wear these shoes and my feet don't overheat. I purchased the olive color, but the shoe is so attractive that I'm afraid to wear them in the somewhat dirty environment where I work. So I'm ordering another pair in the gray color.

These are just a little less wide than I would like, but I am hoping that they break in well. So far, I have just been wearing them in the house trying to decide if they are wide enough. My current pair of hiking shoes are a boy's size, but I was looking for something with a bit more support. These definitely need inserts because they are hard on my heels. Overall, I am pleased. I have tried Merrells before and they have been too narrow. I also love the color of these (grey with cornflower blue!).

Very well made shoes. I walk in rough terrain with these and they have very good stability. The soles have excellent traction. I had ordered 10W the first time but they were tight so I re-ordered 10.5W and they fit fine. Thanks Zappo's for the excellent customer support!

Zappos made this a wonderful experience. First, they not only matched a price for me, but they sent the shoes via express shipping so I received them the next day!! I wasn’t quite sure about the fit (I’d ordered a half-size larger than my normal size) so I then ordered a half-size smaller but in a wide width; Zappos honored the same price. Both orders were for the waterproof style Moabs. I believe the wp styles fit a little smaller than the non-wp, so I kept my original order. Wore the shoes on a 35-minute walk this evening and they were super. I’m looking forward to wearing them on the trail. Thanks, Zappos.

I love this shoe. My feet never get tired in Merrell Moab’s. Depending on how you like your shoes to fit, they fit fine as a medium; if you want extra room for a thicker sock more so than a cushioned Hanes for example, get a wide.

I love the way these fit. I have a wide foot and most stores do not carry wide widths. On top of that 10 1/2 is the perfect length for me. Most shoes do not come in half sizes above size 10 which means I have to settle for a shoe that is either not quite long enough or too long. Thank you for carrying a wide variety of shoes in a 10 1/2 Wide!??

Perfect! As other reviews said, the tie box runs short, so I ordered a half size up and they were perfect. They’re a great hiking shoe—waterproof, comfortable with great padding and arch support and excellent traction. Perfect for Adirondack mid season.

The 10.5 is one full size larger or at least a half size larger than I normally wear. Based on other reviews, I ordered 10.5 instead of 9.5. I do not have a wide foot. With medium weight Smart Wool hiking socks, the shoes fit perfectly. I have only worn them once around town, so I will update the review if needed after I hike.

These were purchased intentionally 1/2 size larger based on comments and expectation of wearing thicker socks than normal. Feel was noted as 1/2 size smaller, but shoes fit correctly when ordered 1/2 size larger (probably good advice).

i bought this shoe in falcon. i love it because it isn't a color and will go with everything. it's also waterproof, i hate it when my feet get wet.

The fit and the size are great. These shoes were immediately comfortable and are now in regular use. My only minor complaint is about the puffiness of the tongue that makes it harder to pull the laces tight and prevents the sides of the shoes from actually overlapping the tongue much at all. It would be neater if there was better closure there.

I ordered these and Merrells MQM . I kept MQM. for me this style was too bulky and heavy. For summer mos in Tahoe I though MQM style was way more comfortable and light . On the first 5 mile hike MQM were awesome. I returned this pair

I have Plantar Fasciitis, a high arch, and usually wear a size 7 wide, due to bunions. After researching these shoes and based on other customers reviews that had said that they ran a bit small and suggested ordering up a 1/2 size. I then ordered a 7 1/2 W. However, even after going up 1/2 size in the wide, there was still not enough room inside to allow for extra thick socks or thicker insoles. So I tried going up one full size in an 8 wide, but then they were too wide in the toe which made the toe of the shoe crumple up when the laces were tightened. So I then tried just ordering up one full size in a size 8 Regular width and they fit perfectly. So if you wear a wide width, try ordering a full size up in a regular width, because these shoes have a fairly roomy toe area already. At least for me they did!

I normally wear a 6.5, and based on reviews about needing to size up I tried a 6.5, a 6.5 Wide, and a 7. Unfortunately none of them work for me. In the 6.5 my toes touch the front of the shoe, but in the size 7 where I have enough room at the toe, my heel is slipping out of the shoe. Sizing up for a better fit doesn't work if you have a narrow heel. Unfortunate, because they do seem like they'd be comfortable if there was a fit for me!

I went up one size to accommodate think socks in the winter. Perfect fit with the socks. Very comfortable.

Nice shoes. Used to wear size 8, but this newer pair fit too tight, so returned for an 8.5.

Good shoe for a wide foot if your foot is universally wide. I have a narrower heel, and my heels just slipped right out of these. I liked the look of the shoe on my foot and just wish the heels were narrower!

Pro's: The shoe overall fit my foot well. No slippage at the ankle. Accommodated my bunions. Very supportive. Cons: The arch seemed to hit wrong on my foot causing some tendon issues. They also felt "hard". Not enough cushion for my sensitive feet.

These were so light. Fit was as expected from Merrell's, but I felt these were a little "stiff" and wanted a bit more flexibility for my travel use.
