Merrell as normal is comfort out of the box. Wonderful shoes that last a long time and always more then match expectations. Will be back to buy more.

These shoes are perfect for my feet although they run 1/2 size smaller. I wear a 9 and ordered a 9 1/2 and the fit is perfect. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have flat feet and have an upcoming foot surgery for bunions and hammer toes and after reading the reviews of other people who have had foot problems I had to try them out and I am so glad I did.

This is my first pair of Merrell shoes. I am so so happy with them. Right out of the box they were comfortable. I hike on rock, dirt, asphalt, etc. They are great on every terrain I have attempted. My daughter and son-in-law have both bought them since I purchased them. Would absolutely recommend them!

This is a great shoe and I highly recommend this product! I could not have found a better shoe for walking portions of the El Camino de Santiago. I did around 167 miles in this shoe in a 2-week period in all types of terrain (asphalt, dirt, rocks) in all weather (sunny, rainy, dry) and I never had a problem. I did use the wide width because of my foot shape. I never got a blister or had any problems with this shoe and I would recommend for any serious walker or hiker. The shoe is comfortable and provided all the protection that I expected from a shoe of its type. Thanks Merrell for such a great product!

I bought these shoes for our first family hiking trip to Utah (actually, I bought a pair each for me, my husband, and 2 grade school aged kids). I took them on the trip right out of the box and then hiked every day for a week. The shoes fit great, were incredibly comfortable, and worked wonderfully keeping us secure on slippery sand-covered trails! I bought blister band aids for the trip assuming someone would get blisters from the new shoes but I never opened the box! We all agreed these were a must have for our hikes; we would have been much more unstable without them. We even hiked the narrows in Zion, a water hike, with them and the held up wonderfully to the hike and came out good as new! These were an excellent purchase!

The Moab 2 waterproof shoes are now my favorite walking shoe. I have never worn hiking shoes/boots before and these were replacing my old sneaker style walking shoes. I wanted a waterproof shoe that would provide good stability on varied terrain for an upcoming vacation. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear which was a good choice. Out-of-the box I noticed that they were heavier than I am used to; but when I put them on they fit like they were custom made for me; my feet are totally and comfortably supported, a roomy toe box without any pressure on my arthritic joints, and I don't notice the extra weight of the shoes at all. The soles are made of a harder material than my old shoes so they don't flex as much when I walk which took a little getting used to. I have worn them several times for my walks on flat, paved walking trails and they are so comfortable; my feet and back feel great after the walk. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

Use for hiking and gardening. Very comfortable, holds up well in the outdoor elements. I am pleased with my purchase. I am 59 years old and supportive footwear is very important to me.

These shoes are consistently true size & allow me to wear heavy wool socks.
I put them on & immediately took a three mile hike with no discomfort.

I purchased this shoe for hiking in the mountains in rugged terrain. The shoes are comfortable with thick socks. I purchased my normal shoe size and width and it runs slightly large. Toe box has ample room and is flexible for hiking on a rocky path and crossing creeks. I am very pleased the product.
After a 9 mile hiking day, my feet were not sore. That was the ultimate test!

My shoes just arrived this morning and I immediately put them on as I was headed out the door to go on a day hike. I just got home and realized I had them on all day and they still felt very comfortable. They supplied much needed traction in the desert and sand. They feel substantial and are very sturdy. I have a wide foot and it is very hard for me to find comfortable hiking shoes, but these are perfect for me. I highly recommend them. I look forward to many more trips wearing them. Last note, they are very nice looking, also.

I hike a lot of wet, inclined trails . The Moab 2 is great with traction. I never slip with them.

I wasn't sure what to expect since these were my first pair of Merrells. They are amazing! Great support, perfect for walking and easy hiking. I already want another pair.

I really loved these shoes and wore them all year round, especially in the winter. This pair was the second that I owned. This pair was so comfortable, but needed to be replaced due to normal wear and tear. Unfortunately, the waterproof effect wore off earlier this year after having owned them for nearly 3 years. This did not happen to my previous pair. I still would reccommend these shoes.

The laces are really really short. Come on Merrell, this feels mean for the sake of a couple more inches of lace cord.
I like to double knot as the round laces keep coming undone when single tied and these are just not long enough. Disappointing

Great grip, will literally grip onto ANY surface. They truly do keep the water out as long as the water is below the top of the shoe. But man oh man, these make your feet sweat like no other! That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Living in the NW I really need waterproof hiking shoes! These are nice, sturdy shoes. My only complaint is that they could use a little more arch support. Hence the 4 stars, not 5.

I have no regrets buying the Moab 2 waterproof wide width being a begginer. I have a happy feet, i used it at work. I rate it 4 'cause i tried the new Moab 3 and the only difference is the vibrance while walking. But definetely would recommend it.

Ordered 9W. Wanted a water resistant shoe for a trip to Europe that would be good for walking on cobblestones as well. The left shoe fit great. Arch support was good as well which I need as I have flat feet. Unfortunately I have a bunion on my right foot which makes finding a comfortable fit very hard. Although I could not feel any seam on the inside of the right shoe where my bunion is, my bunion did not like it. I let my husband try on the shoes (he wears mens size 7, although not wide) and they fit him well even though they are wide width. So I do not have to return the shoes and my husband now has his new shoes for our trip!

I've been wearing the same Merrill shoe for almost 20 years. I'd been trying to replace these, my most favorite and comfortable shoe ever for my poor feet done in by surgery and arthritis for about 8 of those years now. I love the outdoors and still love being out there as much as possible. Finally, the Moab 2 waterproof has got me in a shoe i can hike in and wear everyday. It's supportive, but gives where i need it. My feet are happy in them which means I can spend more time in them and do more of what I love. The only thing I miss from my old shoes is the thicker rubber toe cap and maybe a slighly higher/wider toe box.

I work as an emergency and disaster specialist and the Moab 2 Waterproof is my go-to shoe. I never know whether I will be spending my day at the office, giving a presentation, or in the field, responding to an incident. I think this shoe looks and performs great in both of those places. Also, they fit well and I can transition seamlessly from my old pair to my new ones - no break-in time required, which is essential when I don't have time between deployments. And of course, I also wear them when I am off work, hiking around the local trails. I love that they are waterproof. I hate wet feet!

The shoes fit fine with thinner socks. I wanted to wear them with thicker socks. The shoes are very well made, but are hard and not comfortable. I really wanted to love these shoes.
